I have been on The Fast Metabolism Diet for 14 days and No exercise.
I lost 3.4 lbs the first week and 2.4 lbs the second, a total of 5.8 lbs

I'm a slow loser so that's really good for me.
My Goal was 2.5 lbs the first week and 2 lbs the second week.

I changed my Weight Ticker to a ~ Smaller Goal, 5lbs at a time. emoticon in two weeks

Well Hello DEQUINTA, you are the 3rd person I've seen on here (FMD). So glad I'm not alone.

What a coincidence, that's the way I first found out about FMD in 2013. You have done very well losing 65 lbs. I'm sure you feel and look a lot better and I'm glad you are not stopping there. It's really hard when you're body resist and you still want or need to lose more. I've been there too. Your goal is very reasonable. Janice is doing good and you will too. emoticon

I'm setting small goals. Lose 2 lbs a week, and 10 pounds at a time on my weight ticker. My first on FMD I lost 3.4 lbs. and I'm a slow loser. My long term goal is 60 pounds by the end of 2017.

emoticon Hello! I am not new to sp but new to this team, I recently read a magazine article about fmd and have purchased the book and have a friend joining me on this venture. She started the diet the day after we found the diet in a magazine and lost 9 lbs in 3 weeks. Janice says she loves the switch off days because she doesn't get bored with 1 food type. Starting at this time is probably iffy but my birthday is Nov 28, the Monday after Thanksgiving and that will give me time to purge my pantry and stock up on the correct foods. The last 2 years I have lost 65 lbs changing from a size 26 to size 16 but my body is resisting losing now and I want to lose 40 more pounds so what better day to begin the last leg of my journey than my birthday? My ultimate goal is to lose this last 40 by Nov 28, 2017! -100!!!

The last post here was Aug. 23, 2016. I hope that this is still an active team.

I lost 30 pounds on TFMD in 2013 and have gained all that back and then some. I started Monday Nov. 14, 2016 on my 1st 28 day cycle, at 194.4 pounds. emoticon

I know this is not an ideal time to start (just before Thanksgiving) but, if I don't do it when I'm mentally ready it may be months before I'm ready again.

Into week 2 of FMD and lost 1kg (2 lbs), so I'm down to 119. My preferred weight is 119-121 lbs and I do a FMD a few times each year.

In July I did the new Bone Broth Diet by Dr. KellyAnn (PBS). I lost 10 lbs in the 3 weeks. I was happy with that, but it's basically low carb with 2 fasting broth only days a week. I wanted a change, and promising myself a break after 3 weeks helped me stick it out the full 3 weeks.

In my one week off I managed to gain 3 pounds....

On Monday, August 8th I started FMD again. I am already down 6.5 lbs, and 2 lbs lower than my recent low! I'm really happy about that! I really stuck to Phase 2 this time, which is always difficult for me.... I love carbs! Haha!
Gotta go, but please post how you are doing so we can all be motivated!

I want to lose 46.2 pounds. My 2016 GOAL Weight is 135 LBS

As you can see since Jan. 4th (when I started posting here in this thread) this year I have not lost much more than 5 pounds. I tried getting back on FMD in Dec and 1st of Jan.. and just could not stick with it. So, I started on THM (Trim Healthy Mama) plan and did good for one month then after 4 more months, as it shows below from Jan. 29th to May 1st. I just went up and down. So, it's time for a change.

01/29 186.0 lbs. Inches 318"
02/28 180.4 lbs Inches 316"
03/06 181.0 lbs In's 312.75"
04/03 178.8 lbs In's 310.75"
05/01 180.8 lbs In's 311.25" .....THIS TIME I'M DOING THE H~BURN!!!

I started Yesterday Friday May 6th and will be through with the 10 day H~Burn on May 15th.
Time will tell if it works for me. But, if I lose I hope I can get back on FMD.

Wed. May 11th I STOPPED The Burn I cheated to much. Weighed 182.6 pounds. from May 1 180.8 pounds gained 2.6 pounds in eleven days.

FMD worked for me in 2013 when I started at 174.4 lbs and got down to 159.0 lbs. I lost 15.4 pounds from July 1, 2013 to November 20, 2013, I was 67 years old then. Then I maintained through Sept./Oct. 2014. We move to the coast of TX Aug. 2014 and ate out a lot and I lost my momentum with FMD and by Aug. 2015 when we moved back home, I had gained it all back plus 10 more pounds.

I hit a new low today! THat makes 10 pounds total since I first heard about the Fast Metabolism Diet about 5 weeks ago!

And CrabbyLion, I agree with you that Phase 1 is awesome! I really enjoy eating FRUIT! I also enjoy Phase 3, and am learning to like Phase 2. It helps that my husband really likes Phase 2 and tolerates Phase 1. However we have enjoyed spaghetti 4 weeks in a row during phase 1 and we both love that!

Wonderful. Down 2 pounds is really great. Seems like so little but 1,2,2,etc add right up.
Keep it up. I now wait for the fruit days. It is like dessert to me. I think I am a carb addict.

7/16-down 3 pounds I gained over the 4th. Still love FMD

Two pounds down this week which means I have lost a total of 9 altogether, Part of me wants to be disappointed, but the other part wants to say woohoo-9 POUNDS! Yesterday, I had difficulty maintaining my eating routine. I had planned to eat lunch right after church, but got sided tracked. I tried to grab a quick salad at one of the local fast food places, and they got my order totally wrong, so I had to send it back. I ended up eating another snack instead, and this pushed lunch and dinner to waaay late in the afternoon. Then I got it out of order-I had the dinner grain first and the lunch fruit last. I don't know if this was part of my problem; however, I do see the importance of planning!

Just finished my first week of FMD and sure enough, I have lost 7 lbs!! I haven't been able to check measurements yet because I have misplaced my tape measure, but I believe that it is going to be good. It is hard to believe considering how much that I have been eating. No torture. No starvation. No fantasizing about the next meager meal. I think I can do this. I was concerned because I had to be out of town for my first phase 3. I also wouldn't have a scale so I would have no idea how I was doing. But using the advice form other Spark FMD team members, I was able to be very successful. Feeling very motivated.

Scale say I am losing weight again. Hooray! Will post on Wednesday as am in the BLC challenge also. Don't want to jinx myself. Have to keep going and not celebrate with Stuff that is not on my meal plan.
Don't give up.

I have been on this 2 1/2 months and have lost nearly 20 pounds on it. I have PCOS which makes weight loss harder but at least I have been successful on FMD.

I'm so glad I finally found a support group-type thing for the diet! I'm 22 years old, and before I started the plan 1 week ago, I was looking to lose about 40 pounds. Now I only need to lose 32!
After 1 week, I'm down 8 pounds! Consistently lost weight every day. Excited to see what week 2 is like and I'm VERY curious to see how my age works into things. Not many people my age are doing this diet. So it's hard to judge how well I'll do having never gone through hormonal changes, pregnancy, great amounts of stress, or aging. My success (hopefully) could be phenomenal! Then again, it may not be. 21 more days to go!

I was on the beans and greens diet for two weeks and lost 5 lbs but felt really terrible. I decided to try FMD and in the first week I have lost 7 lbs for a total of 12 lbs and I feel great. Eating delicious good food and losing weight doing it? I'm in! emoticon

Tuna and mustard

I just made my phase 2 meals for tomorrow: I cut up mushrooms, onion, and pepper to add to my omelette for breakfast, cucumber and asparagus salsa with turkey bacon for snack (recipe in book), lettuce ground turkey wrap for lunch and chicken sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms in broth for dinner.

Not to vegetarian sorry

4.6 pounds - this is first day of week 3.
Very difficult staying on track last week. I have been 100% faithful on 9 out of last 14 days. So not too horrid. So far, I am down 4.6 pounds. Phase 1 and 3 are okay for me. but being vegetarian, Phase 2 drives me crazy. This week I'll try to add in tofu. (Don't like tofu, but is better than all those little fish faces haunting me at night.)

Starting Day 3 of Week 1, so technically been on this for 2 full days. But I followed the no sugar, no alcohol, no caffeine, no flour and no corn rules for the past 5 days. In those 4 days,down 4.8 pounds. Since formally on FMD, down 2.8 pounds.

Best of all, I am motivated!!!!

Starting week 3 today, this time I didn't gain anything on phase 3, and will hopefully lose a little on phase 1 and phase 2. I am definitely losing inches from my midsection, which makes me very happy, and was the main reason I tried something else after alternate-day-fasting with paleo. Eating this often has been a huge change for me, and there have been so many positive results. I was scared that I would be hungry all the time from eating so man carbs, but that hasn't been true at all. Every time I'm surprised that it's time to eat again! I too like this plan because it's so precise. I know I eat more when it's just me standing at the fridge trying to decide what to eat.

Oh, I am down .4 of a pound - I just looked at my ticker and today's scale was lower. Woohoo!.

Before I found the FMD I was on South Beach for 4 months and only lost 4 pounds. I like this better because it is more precise with eating fruit and grains. SB you were kinda ...add a little bit see what happens then try something else. I thought I'd love it but it didn't work for me.

Yes Renee.... what diet are you currently doing? I too have thought about taking what I've learned from FMD and applying it to South Beach which I loved and had a 30lb weight loss. But I think I am going to stick with another 28-day cycle just to get my metabolism running smoothly and get more comfortable with some recipes.

It's all about the recipes girls! The Paleo and Primal Blueprint diets are very similar to Haylie's except they are high fat and not as structured with the Phasing. I find quite a few Paleo recipes that can be used with very little revision. Pinterest has lots of Paleo boards.

Of all the diets I've been on, FMD is by far the most healthy!

I did 2 rounds of the FMD with a week break in between and lost the most on the first round... not so much on the second, although I did have a lot of issues with bloating and stress. I decided to change up my plan and go with another diet... taking with me all I learned about foods and my choices from the FMD.

It's working out well for me. :)

Who knows, I might revisit the FMD if I start having issues with my current diet choice... I think the bottom line is learning to make good, healthy choices.

So happy for you NMWERNER! No one can deny that the science behind this diet works! It hasn't been easy but boy is it worth it!

I have been a solid year trying to get back into the 160's and finally, this morning..... there it was!!! 1 more lb to go and I will be at my lowest weight since lapband surgery 3 years ago. Actually, 3 years ago tomorrow! emoticon

Everyone thinks WLS is easy. It's not. I've had to diet and exercise just like everyone else. The band just helps me to slow down so I don't take in so much food. My stomach is the same size it's always been. If I can get it in there, it's happy to take it... LOL!

Three days of Phase 3 and I'm done the first 28-days. I am going to take a break for a week. Think about what I want to do.

Well I weighed myself for the first time since I started. I lost 12 pounds!!!!!!!! I can't even believe it!!! I have 6 pounds to go (or more) and I am so psyched and so happy!!!!!

OK.... so I'm on Week 3 just starting Ph 2. I looked in the mirror this morning and can actually see the fat leaving my body! I have a waist with a much smaller spare tire.... I have 2 emoticon ..... and I continue to lose weight as well!

I watch Haylie's videos, read her Blogs and find great recipes on her Pinterest boards. Starting to like this diet more every day!
