These challenges are so much fun. I really thought it would be hard to achieve the wins, but once you work on them they are pretty easy. I like knowing I can do more than I thought I could!!

I am doing #FITNESSFEATS, #MOVEIT, #EATTHERAINBOW, and #H2WHOA. I find I actually do better at all of my challenges when I have more than one or two to do. I did have a bit of a rough time last week as I had a bad cold and had no energy to do my strength training. I did 10 minutes of strength training this morning using five pound dumbbells in both hands. My broken arm is almost back to normal and I seem to do better with it when I exercise with it. I have over 1400 steps already in this morning and almost 7 tenths of a mile walking.

I did gain two pounds this past week. I know why too. We celebrated my son's 31st birthday this weekend. Also, being sick last week contributed to the weight gain. I expect it will be gone by next Monday.

I am on the way to meeting all of my new goals based on the new SP Challenges. I also wrote a new blog post today. So far I have tracked 56 minutes in the Daily exercise challenge, 3 fruits and vegetable in the daily fruit and veggie challenge, 6 cups of water in the daily water challenge, and 11 fitness feats in the daily fitness challenge.

Looking back over 2017, I remember setting a big whopping goal of 35# to lose, and am thankful for a 20# loss. The old me would have felt badly having lost about 1/2 of what I set out to lose....BUT that was BEFORE I joined this team emoticon - I am SO glad for my 20# loss!! ....it could have been a gain or no loss at all. emoticon emoticon It is ALL about small goals, and moving forward no matter how slow. emoticon

emoticon emoticon My goal for 2018 is to lose another 20#....and I am Sparked and ready to Bring It!

NSV Alert !!!

I parked at the FAR end of the parking lot for Walmart (lunch run) .. and in Wisconsin it's cold today .. brrrr .. I parked the END spot so I walked to and from the store, and then around inside the store .. I was cold .. BUT HAPPY !!! YAY ME!!!

Hi everyone! emoticon I have a recent foot injury and i vowed to eat clean and stick to my calorie target today. emoticon BUT I had to go to the supermarket and pick up stuff. Yes, they got lots of Christmas goodies there! emoticon BUT I posted on the Community feed how I worked out instead of having Lindt Chocolates earlier. And I knew I wouldn't be sticking to my goal today if I bought sweets again. emoticon So, I didn't buy it. Didn't want to be a fraud emoticon

And I had 7 freggies today. emoticon
And i did 11 minutes of body weight exercises on the matt. emoticon

Wanna keep this up because no cardio until the foot pain goes away, Probably Jan 2nd.

I said I would let you know how I did at the Christmas Party last night. Not too bad!

Salad Bar: small helping of spinach with lite Italian dressing, spoon of cold pea salad, 4 or 5
slices of mushrooms, small spoon of sliced black olives and a small helping of
artichoke and tomato salad with a vinaigrette dressing.
Main Course: half a twice baked potato, 3 cold shrimp, steamed broccoli, and small piece of
prime rib.
Dessert: small slice of pumpkin cheesecake.
Drink: Lambrusco wine, 3 oz.
I'm guessing it was more calories than I should have had, but hadn't eaten much all day so I could splurge a little.

I had 2 NSV over the weekend. On Friday I went to a doughnut shop with friends and only had coffee. No doughnut for me. The coffee was very good and the friends were great to be with. When I got home I had fruit for my dessert. Last night I went out for dinner with friends and had a similar experience. Dessert was included in a price fixed dinner with no substitutions. I just had coffee and when I came home I had some really delicious cantaloupe. I really didnít feel deprived either. I could have had a doughnut on Friday. I could have had cake last night but I really just didnít choose to waste calories on these items. So Iím proud of myself. Iím looking forward to a good week and making plans to eat apple pie on Thanksgiving.

I have been focusing on my daily steps. I do weigh each morning, but have not focused on the number that it shows me.

However, in the past couple of weeks, I have actually lost a couple of pounds. Was pleasantly surprised.!!
