There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.
When you get to a plateau, think of it as a landing on the stairway to your goal. And
maintenance is a lifelong plateau, so a bit of "rehearsal" for maintenance isn't the worst thing in the world

Congratulations on your commitment. One small goal at a time is how we do it. Until sparkpeople I didn't even know how to set goals. That was a big step for me. All things are possible one step at a time! Good luck and Happy 25th. You do have a lot on your plate just add a bunch of veggies and go for it! (((HUGS)))

Happy Anniversary! Sometimes a milestone in life can make us ready to commit. I went from thinking about healthier living to thinking about committing, then wanting to but not really being willing to commit, then being willing to be willing to commit.....the finally stages were really being willing then being ready! I've been committed for years now and I can tell you that the payoff is BIG! Go for It!

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. The time spent riding the bus each day? That's a pair of socks over a month. Waiting in line? Mittens. Watching TV? Buckets of wasted time that could be an exquisite lace shawl. ~Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much A true friend reaches for your hand but touches your hea

I have been on SP for a while now and lost and gained weight along the way. Now I am getting it. I need to this for me, I need to work at one small goal at a time and see the benefits of reaching each goal.
I am here to do just that. reach a small goal and not obsess about the big goal. Look at the big picture I feel daunted, break the big picture small pictures like a jigsaw puzzle I will get there.

I am married and this July we reach our 25th Wedding Anniversary something of a milestone especially as my husband has so many health issues and I am now his carer as well.
Life changes along the way and one change is me taking care of myself and really taking care not just fitting what I need into life.

These small goals will make a big difference so I am committing to this one small goal at a time. With SP behind me emoticon .
