I love Zombie movies, my husband and I have all the classics (and then some). Have you guys heard of a book called The Living Dead? It's a compilation of zombie short stories edited by John Joseph Adams. It's pretty awesome.

Special dEaD is a very low budget, independent film. I bought it from the peeps who made it. They have a store on amazon.

I guess Young Frankenstein doesn't count... lol

Ok, seriously, the remake to Dawn of the Dead and Shaun of the Dead are my faves....so far. I haven't seen Zombieland either, but I just received The Hidden and hope to get to watch that tomorrow night!

In the 2008 remake of Day of the Dead, the vegetarian solider that turned into a zombie, didn't try to eat the other people because he doesn't eat meat, and when Ving's character was cut in half but still chased the people on his elbows.

In Zombieland, when Bill Murphy snuck up on Columbus.

In Land of the Dead, when the zombie priest flung his head over his body to eat the soldier.

In 28 Weeks Later, when the husband became infected and went on a rampage.

In Flight of the Living Dead--when all hell broke loose on the plane.

I could go on but I need to stop for some brainnss!

I just saw Special dEaD the other day. It was sooooooo bad, but so funny. It had one of the funniest zombie moments I've seen in a while. The first guy infected and turned into a zombie had Tourette Syndrome. After that, all the other zombies started picking it up. If you're easily offended, you wouldn't like it, but I thought it was funny when the zombies mumbled random obscenities instead of the usual groans or "Braaaaiiiinns."

Its not really a favorite moment. I like Zombie movie because they are so funny and so unbelieveable. Like, for instance, where do Zombies get all of their strength. If they are the undead, why are they so fast and so strong and they seem so flexable. Just wondering.

The joy of being, which is the only true happiness, cannot come to you through any form possession, achievement, person

or

even-through anything that happens. That joy cannot 'Come'

to you

ever. It emantes from the formless dimention 'Within You',

from

consciouness itself and thus is one with who you are.

Love and peace,
Mary

I don't know for sure! I love zombies -- my first favorite was Return of the Living Dead II but I have to say recently Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead have revived my love for the zombies! So probably watching Zombieland!!! Gotta love any movie that opens with For Whom the Bell Tolls, right???

Hello all! Happy freaky Friday! What horrors are on your weekend viewing list? I will be getting Zombieland from Netflix today! Woohoo!

I don't have an answer from Ohanamama's question yesterday, but I believe the answer was the second shelf "Old Fart".

Ok, now onto today's business!

What is one of your favorite zombie moments?

After Joanne recommended I Sell The Dead, I had to see it. And it was pretty darn good horror viewing! There are some zombies that were just hillarious! I loved the zombie in the cage. And then another when went by that was missing his foot - it made me LOL b/c the foot was found earlier! It just made me chuckle!

Kelly - don't worry about an answer for tomorrow - there isn't a right or wrong here. Just some great zombie debate and discussion!
