I was taking my dog for a walk, the sun was shining, it was warm but not hot, birds were circling around the air and neighborhood kids were out playing and selling lemonade in their yards. It was great!!!

Yesterday was a pretty perfect day here too - we took our dog to a beach in San Francisco and let her run around and play with other dogs while hubby and son played catch. We ended up walking over 9 miles along the water with a beautiful not too hot, not too cold day - it was great!

Almost every day is fairly perfect here- sans those few rainy ones or the handful of toohot ones... Gotta love San Diego! That said, there has been a lot of rainy days in the last few months. I am always up for a walk in the rain though, maybe because traditionally we don't see so much of it, so as long as it isn't total downpour, or as long as I don't have to drive in it, I am good.

We have already had quite a few days like that in the Bay Area. I am a spring clean type of person though, so when those windows get opened, the first thing I want to do is clean and air out the place!

In South Texas, it's a different story. Windows are locked up for the six months of summer and you air out in fall. It's lovely to go out exercising all (or at least most of) winter. We're just getting into the super hot months so the days of windows being open are just dying out. :( I can't wait for October!!

You can not change yesterday - it's done.
You can only dream of tomorrow.
The only day you can change is today.
What are you going to do today to reach your goals of tomorrow?

We've actually had a few of those days here already this year. Other than a fairly strong breeze, yesterday was one of them. The kids and I drove down to one of the parks along the river and took a 2 mile walk, then I relaxed for a little while they played at the playground.

Opened all the windows, went for a 5 mile run then spent the rest of the day inside dealing with cranky people at work

Yesterday was a fairly perfect day for me too. I opened the house up and really aired it out. I washed all the couch cushions, bedding, etc. I cleaned my oven and "Uncle M Proofed" it (Whenever my BF cooks in my oven things always spill over and burn and it STINKS), by putting aluminum foil on the bottom below the burners. I guess you could say I did some spring cleaning. I should have worked outside in the yard - but the house really needed that extra attention. The kids played outside most of the day, I watched LMN a bit while folding laundry and just relaxed. It was nice to have nothing planned - and just take it easy, as our weeks are so hectic.

I guess that my perfect day would be having a clean house, and nothing particular that I HAVE to do (aside from care for my kiddos.)

This Sunday was an amaing day. In the middle of the last couple weeks barely making it into the 50's, yesterday was 85 and GORGEOUS!!! So, I took full advantage of it and walked with the kids to the park and played outside. It was so great to open up all the windows, put on a pair of shorts, and just enjoy the sunshine while the kids ran around and vented all their energy.

What's it like for you when you get that first "perfect" day? Has it happened yet this year for you?
