Dad is moved and my "to do" list is getting short. I am still exhausted and will need to catch up on some sleep soon.

Hi, all!

Joyce, hope things are going well getting your dad relocated to Springfield. It will sure be easier for you once it is done. How are you liking your own move into Springfield? Are you still working?

I have enjoyed a bit of lettuce out of my little pots in front of my house. I have a really nice looking tomato plant there as well and hope the blooms will become something yummy. My almost 3 year old GS enjoys tomatoes, so I am hoping grandma Tammy has some to share.

I've been running errands today and also just cut the outer borders for a quilted throw that I am making. I had plans to make one per month when 2021 began; it will need to be two per month if I am to reach my original goal. LOL

Hello to all...

My name is Tammy and I live in SW Missouri.

Hi...

It's been quite a while since I posted here. I used to try to get her most days, but not for quite some time. I lost two close family members in the past 16 months, and three aunts/uncles. None of these were from COVID, but I did almost lost an uncle from it and an aunt is still having an awful time from having had it. DH was diagnosed with heart issues along with his other stuff after a hospitalization from last July. When the new variants of COVID began to show up, DH and I went into probably extreme lockdown, but that will be over soon. His second shot time period will be done this Saturday. I will get my second shot in a few weeks and will be more "free" about midApril.

I was glad for my longtime habit of counting my blessings, and that helped some. I've also had some medical help with it as well. I have just now felt that I could manage to get outside and get a walk, but I have seen my average daily steps in a month increase by about 2K from the two months prior, so that is good. I'm beginning to feel the fog lift most days for a while.

I didn't return to my parttime job last fall, and I am probably retired now. I miss some things about it, but not others. I worked two jobs for a lot of years, so I was "due". LOL

I would love to hear from everyone that has been so kind as to post here in the 2021 thread as well as anyone who has stopped by but not posted.

Thank you for asking. .. The cataract surgery does not cause pain or swelling but they also did a glaucoma repair which involved some cutting on the tear duct or some little canal of the eye.
This is a slower recovery with some pain.
Glaucoma repair is usually done after several years with no response to the daily drops and some damage to vision....But in my case the glaucoma was still early .. just took the opportunity to do the 2 surgeries at the same time.

Hi ASOBFALLS emoticon I'm glad you were able to have this done But I do have a question You said it was your eye's, so why did this happen (swelling now in evenly distributed all the way to the jaw-chin line)? I am sorry, but I hope you are feeling better today

Recovering from cataract and glaucoma surgery (done all at once)

Realized today that the swelling now in evenly distributed all the way to the jaw-chin line

It is OK, Joyce...this too will pass
