I journal in my bullet journal (BUJO). Designing pages for it provides stress relief and the journaling can be as long or short as I would like it to be.

I do journal. I don't journal daily, but I definitely journal. It helps me in many ways. For me, it's a great stress reliever.

I journal on and off. It is not becoming a habit. Right now I think of it as another thing to do, so I do it when I have time.

Working on my days and journaling. I used to keep diaries until I was in my 30s then just quit one day. I wish I had those diaries. It would have been fun to go back and read about who I used to be.

We start over on Day One but on the old threads - that way you can look back to see what you posted in past posts or even just read over old posts to see that others have been where you are.

If you would like to journal separately of course you can set that up or blog daily as some people have done. Personally, I like to see what everyone is saying. This book is so wise but sometimes I read someone else's take on a lesson and say, "YES", me too!!

Question - Will the 100 Day links start fresh or does the team use the old threads?

This 100 Days has been so good even though I haven't posted every day!

I'm having trouble with double vision again.....don't know what is going on but I guess I'll be in for another round of tests when we get back home. I was prescribed glasses with Fresnel prisms in December and they really seemed to help... but now I have double vision with the glasses on. Can't stay on the computer very long so I just get on for a few minutes whenever I can.

Thanks for posting the new start-up date, Gill. Once again you have coached us through....great job!

Mmmm, strawberries are ideal for Valentine's Day. I'm working that day - will be home about 7pm, and up early the next day, so alcohol is out of the question. I might plan to watch a romantic DVD - and have a cup of hot chocolate!

I want strawberries for Valentine's Day - I'm talking sweet, juicy strawberries. That's not likely in my area. I'd take watermelon or homegrown tomatoes too - again, not likely. BUT I think I'll get some strawberries and melt a little chocolate, dip them and make them pretty. Doesn't have to be much, just enough to make them look 'special.' My GD will enjoy doing this. It'll be fun, and I have my own strawberries without chocolate if I want to. We can even decorate with red balloons. She's 11, but balloons are for all ages in my opinion.

I can hardly believe we are in the final week of 100 Days!

As Valentine's day approaches we will need everything we have learned to stay on plan. Apart from Xmas this has to be one of the most emotionally-loaded day of the year! Every shop has displays of shiny red and pink gifts, adorned with hearts and ribbons!

Stay strong and keep Spangling. Let's enjoy Valentine's with flowers, friends, non-edible gifts.

Every now and then I complete a Spark Coach activity. At the end it has a motivational blurb with a graphic.

Today's was I emoticon Oatmeal with a photo of oatmeal

I have been eating less oatmeal as it raises my blood sugar, but it is a desirable food. I wish SparkPeople would use less food photos. At least it was not the donuts and cake that I often see on this website.

The moon was lovely on the way home last night - this morning it's pouring with rain, so I doubt the moon will be visible, sadly.

I can identify with your feelings about the classes changing and things - I'm often surprised when I remember things I used to do, which I had to drop because of work, or money, or transport, or time etc. Our sports centre offers similarly 'high intensity' stuff. I'm glad you have the bodyshape class still. It's good that you have the eye on the ball - I find it very easy to let things slip away - then realise that I'm not doing that any more.

Maribeth - thanks for the info on the supermoon. I found out that:

A blue moon is the second full moon in a month. A super moon is a particularly close full or new moon, and a full lunar eclipse - or blood moon - has the moon completely bathed in Earth's shadow.

Looks like we'll miss out on the blood moon here in central tx, but not the rest. Now I see where the saying "once in a blue moon" comes from!.

Afternoons are the hardest time for me as far as eating. Time seems to stretch out till the evening and I get a bit itchy and restless. I loved when the Y had classes at 4:30 or 5:30 that I enjoyed attending. Now many of them are things like kick-boxing or Insanity or P90X that are wonderful fitness opportunities, but now just too high impact for me. I know I can modify, but to me a lot of times that's just wasting my time. Marching in place while everyone else is doing explosive moves to get their heart rate up does NOTHING for me. Anyway, I love my Tuesday and Thursday evenings because of the bodyshape class I attend then. Wish our Y offered more like that at that time. Of course, they gear it to what the crowd wants. I understand that.

Gill, Happy that you will be able to get your fruit! I hope they are worth the wait! emoticon

I find I feel hungry when I get home from work. It is not dinner time so I need to wait a bit to eat. This sometimes happens before bed too. I do not like the feeling but I am working on not eating after work and after dinner as I hope it will get easier. I test my blood sugar to make sure I am not denying my body something it needs.

In my case I am overweight again. Lots of emotional eating. But I am aware and it is not mindless eating.

Thanks for that, Maribeth - I'll be sure to look out.

I am looking forward to payday tomorrow, so I can go out and get my fresh supplies of fruit & veggies! All this talk of fruit is making my mouth water - I'm completely out of fresh fruit at the moment.

My weight is hovering around my top-end, Wanda. I decided I needed to eat a little more to stop getting hungry at work - being not hungry seems more important than being lighter at the moment. I'm tweaking things to see what works. For me, it seems like I need to eat more food when I'm at work. I get 'hungry' feelings at work which I don't get when I'm at home; therefore, methinks, this MUST be 'emotional eating'.

Beautiful day again. it's 48 but warming up and so sunny out. I did some laundry and decided to hang my corduroy pants and T-shirts outside to dry. They'll smell so good when I bring them in. My mom used to hang her laundry out all the time. When the days are 'crispy' like this one, I love to do it if I have the time.

There's nothing like sunshine to add energy and smiles to our days - at least mine.

i'm doing the water challenge too.

I had a wonderful experience today. Made me smile. Made me proud of myself. I was doing the dreaded weekly shopping. I not only shopped for fruit and veggies because we 'need' them but because I have really been craving them. I bought a fresh mango. My GD has decided she loves the mango flavor. So I thought I'd buy us a treat - a fresh one. Strawberries were on sale - bought them. Grapes, apples, bananas - bought them. More veggies for salad and munching. Loved putting away all the good/healthy food. 100 Days - love it.

Yes, those live stream events are really cool, aren't they? Our little local cinema has stopped doing them (lack of support I guess), but the neighbouring town still has them. I've seem some great stuff - memorably The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, and War Horse.

Is anyone else doing any of the new 7-day Spark Challenges? I've join the Eat The Rainbow one, which is about getting at least 5 portions of fruit or vegetables a day - it's like the old 'streaks' really, but much more fun.

Keep Spangling! I can't believe how quickly the time has flown by! We're nearly at the end of another 100 Days!

Gill, so sorry about the sinus headache! and emoticon the chicken and egg thing....Here in central TX this time of year we have what is called "cedar fever" and the culprit is the male mountain juniper tree. We have many of them on our property just loaded with pollen. So far not that many headaches, just the water faucet nose syndrome. emoticon

In the plans today: make the 1 p.m. circuit class and stick around for yoga.

I think I was getting a bit stir crazy with being holed up here at the house during the past week of out-of-the-ordinary cold weather.

Yes, I did end up checking the book out of the library. I love looking at the pictures and reading about the recipes -- who knows? I might end up even making one or two, or at least....getting some ideas.

edited because I meant to add emoticon for the hug goodie.

I have a sinus headache this morning - probably that (virus) is what is mostly responsible - although it can be a chicken & egg thing: low mood and tiredness can lower immunity; challenges to the immune system can cause low mood and tiredness!

I love the library too, especially the themed displays, Quick Picks, etc. That cookery book does look interesting - did you borrow it?

Today my uplifters were:

1. deciding to hit the second Y class after turning the alarm off and missing the first one. Referring to yesterday's lesson, I counted this action as a small win. Normally I feel if I don't make spin, then it's not worth going in for the easy strength that follows.

2. the local library. I found it uplifting today to go check out the current display of cookbooks that are posted this month on the way in. Found one that drew me in - Persepolis veggie recipes. Maybe I'll find something that inspires me, maybe not. But I'll enjoy looking through it, and enjoyed the conversation with the librarian about it.

Lately I've been feeling a bit estranged from everyday life -- for want of a better description. Having friendly encounters with fellow classmates at the Y, or personnel at the library is quite emotionally comforting to me.

It is a beautiful scarf, and so neat that it was created by using up spare yarn!

Well itís a very pretty scarf Gill.
I am back in good spirits most of the time but feel your mood was where I ended after Christmas until the 5% Challenge started. For me starting a new project helped especially painting some canvas pictures. I also pulled out the biggest crochet hook I have and made a new cover for my dust mop and cleaned down the winter cobwebs.
Of course I donít have to go to work! Hope the sun shines soon. emoticon emoticon

It's a skinny scarf: one of those accidental 'makes' with a bit of left-over beautiful soft merino wool. I love to knit with those modern rainbow wools that reveal stripes as you go.

I feel rather how I look in that photo - tired and a bit depressed. Partly it's the weather, partly fighting off wintery viruses, partly stresses of life, including a kind of loneliness.

I don't share this to invite you all to a pity party, but just to share really. Sunny side up, eh? I have time for a walk this morning.

How are you all feeing? Do you need to support your emotional health today? What are your 'uplifters' today?
