Donna...praying for you as you say goodbye to your "old" home & begin a new adventure. Hugs
Linda...glad granddaughter is doing well. Thankful with you that smoke is less & breathing is easier. e
Fire near our youngest's wcc crew is 90% contained. They will working on same project for next 5 weeks with return home every 8 days. Weird schedule but camping in the mountains feels like vacation at work for them!! Having a hot day here & feeling thankful for air conditioning. Feeling good. Low carb & lower calorie seeming to help with slow weight loss/maintenance so feeling thankful.

Granddaughter is doing well - expecting she will out grow it as she grows taller - will stay on reflux med until weight catches up to dose and then try going without it. She is doing very well in all aspects of growth, beauty and charm!

Hot days again for market - will pray for strength and cool breezes - The smoke is damaging lungs and comfort levels Fires in Canada are close to the border just 25 miles north of us.

Praying healing and energy for each of you.

I just realized this morning we are spending our last night in our home of 30 1/2 years
Barb it will be awhile before we have areas to relax in. I won’t have a completed kitchen for 9-12 months. It will be 3-4 months before our bedroom is done. Windows won’t be installed for 3-4 months. One step at a time.

Linda...Hope markets go well this week. Praying for you as you deal with smoke & fire. Yes...the text group is open to however you want to use. I'm hoping it will give us a place to share prayer needs & challenges or praises on our ongoing get healthy journeys.
I am working on healing & finding a new normal with diet & energy levels. I am finishing bible study in Matthew & then will start one in Hebrews. Encouraged & reminding myself that God works in us as we deal with health issues & aging & finding truth in the word. Working on a gratitude journal as well. Take care.

Donna - will pray you through each day - I cannot imagine moving and dear husband says wewill never do that and will stay her "to the end". I pry the Lord has that in our plans as well!!! .
Fun to get the first text last night and will look forward to a few more cycles so I "trust it" Then settle into using it for prayer concerns and emails for pictures and "newsy chats" is that right?

Good morning. Woke up with a bad headache. Just now took something for it. May have to drink a caffeinated drink to get rid of it. I had way too much caffeine on our mission trip just to keep me going. We got back Sat evening. It was a good trip. We didnt have as many kids as normal. This next week is going to consume all most all my time. Still lots to pack for my dh. We have professional coming from Bekins to help finish up on Wed. The movers come on the 29th and unload on Aug 3 or 4. So wish we werent moving into a house that has so much work on it. It is still hard to believe all the damage our renters did

Linda...praying about fires. Our youngest 's WCC crew is 10 miles from fire in SE Washington working on the snake river & camping for next 6 weeks. Their work matters for salmon habitat & they have plan for increased fire issues but still concerns.
I am having issues with lightheadedness as blood pressure decreases. Taking it slow & resting today.
Do you know when Donna gets back?

Looking forward to doing a few text before we lose the communication of Sparks to back us up!!! this was a hard market day --- so hard and fast selling the first hour of rush...then it calms down and we enjoy the visiting and friends among the customers.

So thankful we have less volume to sell this year. Our air quality is poor with first fir of the season in our valley yesterday. Thankful for quick actions and contained at 50 acres but we are only 25-30 miles from the big fires in British Columbia so getting a lot of thier smoke.

Linda...roasted chicken sounds yummy. Praying for good market days
Resting this afternoon. Leftovers for dinner. Having scalp issue...dry & itchy...trying different shampoos to help. Unsure of cause. Appreciate prayer. Low carb eating seems to be keeping weight stable with lowering thyroid med. Makes me feel hopeful. Sleeping better with medication changes too. Take care.

It has been a long day and I havent even started packing for the trip. We leave at 7 tomorrow morning. I have been busy today getting all the bedding washed and packed from 2 bedrooms. My daughter and her family stopped here for the night on the way back home from Colorado. The grandkids had never seen mountains. They did a lot of hiking and saw some beautiful waterfalls. I was glad we got to spend some time playing a game and time in the pool.
Pray that my husband can stay focused on packing. He still has a lot of packing of the garage and shed. When he takes breaks it could be 2 hour breaks as he finds things to look at on eBay or YouTube
I sent 2 huge bags of frozen stuff with my daughter.. So thankful she has freezer space.

Off to fix supper.

Wednesday morning and counting blessings of friends safe thus far through fires - another family friend had to evacuate last night and smoke is very thick here this am. My lungs are cloggy so hydrating carefully and sucking on vit C lozenges to keep cough down unless productive and took 'Tussin to keep the phlem loose
Praying for you girls' tummys as you go about your days and Donna, praying for blessings into your special ministry in Delta - I can picture it so clearly as it is right next to Olathe/Montrose where hubs is from - we were there last October and attend the Baptist church with family..

Donna...praying for good trip serving & for all the last things needing to be packed to go well. Hugs about food choices/options for your tummy too. I understand.
Linda...our youngest & team are in Walla Walla/home for a couple more weeks then head to Spokane/Idaho border near fires. Will pray for your safety/smoke exposure & heat issues as I pray for them too.
Seeing neurologist today & working on adding in supplements for decrease in inflammation & tummy pain. Going to try taking ginger & a separate resveratrol supplement. Ordered today. Yummy taking some time to heal.
Hugs Barb

Good to read your notes and thank God for our friendships and sharing. Each of us finding our health paths slow but sure and trying to accept our aging limitations. I am including my diet accountability notes from my other spark challenge teams, just a copy and paste format but that is what i am doing with success in maintaining and tiny increments improvement over months' time.

Prayer concerns: #1 our gardens are showing the ill effects of the terrible heat - production is way down and Fred is very depressed about it all plus tired and weary. We will continue as the Lord provides strength and produce. . #2 fires are growing in the state and British Columbia to the north. None in our immediate valley but air quality is POOR - very smokey - hard for COPD lungs for Fred.

Just taking a little break before I start supper. It is good to be home and find it hard to believe in a few weeks we will be moving. I will be headed to Delta, Co on Saturday to do Kids club or VBS for the 5th year. I had almost decided not to go, but decided one more trip with 3 precious sisters in Christ. So much of what I need to pack are things we need in our last days. Husband still has lots to pack.

Linda, I love seeing all your market pictures and so wish I could buy your produce.

Barb, continued prayers as you deal with finding the right things to eat for your tummy. I am finding there are lots of things I cant eat since my surgery.

I went to pick up my medicine from CVS and was shocked to find one thyroid medicine was over $100. I am going to see if I really need that particular one. It was added a few years ago as a support drug to my other thyroid medicine. My dad told me of a place she gets her medicine that is a lot cheaper than CVS so since I have a month left I will check with them. If I really need it I guess I will just suck it up. If necessary I can change my prescription plan when possible.

Hope to get in the pool this evening. My friend who comes exercise with me cut her finger really bad and felt it best not to get it wet any more than necessary.

Linda...hugs...some days require REST!! Taking care of ourselves as we age has to be a priority but sometimes life just uses up everything. Praying you can find balance & feel emotionally better. Praying for JOY!!
Donna...Yay for boxes!! Living with concrete floors sounds "fun" (sarcasm)! I remember it helped me to make a big list of all the things we wanted to accomplish & check them off as we got things done so I could see Progress. Hugs.
Hope you have some special time with daughter & family as they stop by traveling.
I woke up this morning feeling hopeful & thankful. Feel good about test results & stable health. Also doing good with eating choices & weight seems to be stablilizing even with decreased thyroid dose. Looking at planning a trip to the coast for the fall. Missing the ocean! Brother will stay with Mom. Smiles Barb

Reading and resting today - have just hit a all of overdoing and stress lately - Just want to cry, eat and sleep. I keep trying to choose joy but finding it hard here lately.

Barb, sounds like holding pattern for your test - just keep looking up and improving.
Donna - packing and moving - may I never have to go through that!!!

Markets are more comfortable temps this week and next week we start selling corn and melons the following week so will be physically harder for me - Pray for strength and stamina and good attitude. This getting old is hard work!!!

Wish I was sleeping at this hour instead of wide awake. I just read your last posts and forgot how I was going to comment. Barb glad your reports were good. I never did get back with you on my endocrinologist visit. My TSH came back a little below normal. He doesn’t know why it would drop so much. He decided to leave my thyroid pills as is though and recheck in 6 months. He wonders if my stress and not being able to sleep is a part of it. He prescribed a new pill which I will try just 1/2 of one. Also wants me to get my cholesterol down a little. The HDL is very good, but total is on the high side of normal. I hate to add another pill to my daily list.

We got most of the painting done in 3 of the bedrooms. sil will finish up the edges. We ran out of paint the last night we worked. I wanted to get the shelves in the closet all painted, before the carpet is laid, but that won’t happen now. My dd and sil will take out the carpet in the other rooms that reek with dog pee and treat the concrete before we move in. We will just have to live with concrete floors until we get the walls torn down snd new ones put up for the new kitchen. I fully expect to live with this mess for at least a year. After my dh gets his shop built and the kitchen is done we will put in new interior doors and trim. There is a tremendous amount of remodeling work to do. On top of that he wants to put in a huge garden.

The daughter and her family that live in Oklahoma will be coming today and spend the night as they head to Colorado for vacation. They will stop back by on the way home.

We hit the blessed jackpot yesterday with moving boxes. A person who just moved to Borger had about 100 boxes and were giving them away. We just barely have walking space to move about in the living room now.

I need to reread your last post and note where prayers are needed.

Both of my scans are same as 3 months ago. Kidney oncologist recs to have MRI of kidney in 6 months. Still may need surgery but not now. See Neurologist next week but expect we will just monitor benign brain mass too. Good news is that all other organs in my body are healthy & normal!! Praising the Lord & trusting him for wisdom & best advice from doctors.

Quiet weekend for us. Just us 3 at home. Hubby & I are working on back deck in cool of morning & evening. Made potato salad & had melon for last couple of days. Hubby barbecued & have had salmon & chicken. Thankful tummy is tolerating more variety of foods.
Donna will pray for right church for you when you move & for issue you can not share. Hope packing & move process goes forward with less issues.
LInda...glad it was cooler for market. Will pray for good sales.
Take care

I put "8 to change their life direction" on my prayer list.
Prayer is growing ministry in my life and it is precious time with Jesus!!!

I need a nap - was up every couple hours - a neighbor set off three hours of fireworks in spite of ban due to fire danger so we were concerned for wildfire starts... we are so rural, we must do our own protection, so we watered our property lines and prayed and watched - God is faithful and all is quiet thus far.

Happy 4th of July. We went to our daughters church and it is the most unfriendly church I have ever attended. When they changed churches they found this to be very friendly. It is small enough that we should have stood out as strangers. When we move we wouldnt be going back to that church anyway.

I found out something yesterday about someone I care deeply about and is headed for a really bad outcome for someone unless things change. Wish I could tell you details but cover 8 people in prayers. The outcome wont come in months but....

Off to help dad to fix BLT for lunch.

Heat wave is more gentle - Temp 100 at market and 97 when we headed home which is 20 degrees less than Tuesday!!! Poor attendance and brought home /5 of the tomatoes - discouraged but this is farming and must go with the flow - Fred will put some in the free dryer and prep another load - hopefully not waste too many of them.

Had glorious visit with cousin from Texas [30 miles south of San Antonio. Only second tome to see her face to face - such fun!!!

Day 11 of 30 day plateau busting challenge - wt stable and FBS 103 - not learning new tricks but re-enforcing the efforts to stay in efforts of losing or maintaining.

Good morning. Sitting in the endocrinologist office. It is my yearly checkup except it has actually been 19 months because of Covid. Don’t expect any problems.
We are in Oklahoma working on our home for a week. The renters left us with a house that reeks with dog pee and lots of filth. Lots of other damages that we weren’t expecting. I have been in tears many times in the last 12 hours. Our goal this week was to get the 3 bedrooms popcorn ceiling removed, repaint and order carpet that can be put in before we move. The other rooms that have carpet will have to be taken up just to get the stench. These rooms will have engineered wood put down. Packing is coming along, but still lots to do.
Barb hope all your tests come back good
Linda that is hot temps to have to work in.
Dr should be calling me back soon so want to post this before they call me.

Barb look forward to your text tryout.
One exciting news. Our ACE hardware has a place where they sale books from local authors. They said they would buy 10 and after looking at it bought 20. Very thankful as I have lots of books since I haven’t been able to get into the schools as planned.

Spent last 2 days taking it easy. Had repeat scan with contrast done of kidneys & have been dealing with after effects/kidney pain/headache. Drinking lots of fluids & taking Tylenol & slowly feeling better.
Donna...praying for you as you finish packing for move.
Linda...Hugs to you as you deal with Hot days. 107 degrees was our hottest day this week & now back in 70 to 80 degree range. I do no tolerate HOT very well!!

I have both of your cell phone numbers & will send practice group text in next week so let me know you both receive. Wish you all blessed July 4th!

I smile at the title of this forum every time I click on it ... and always think I should start with telling you what I am drinking ...Iced lemonaid ... and am thankful that after 45 years as a recovered alcoholic i don't have to fear or be ashamed of what i am drinking! God is good and so faithful!!!

We have survived record breaking heat ... we did market yesterday at 117 degrees - carefully planned our wet clothes around our necks, pre hydrated and sipped through the time -- gentle flow of ustomers since many did not come out in the heat and then the Lord provided a need in the restaurant around the corner for our last 30# and then a young couple came along and helped us load the tables and crates into the trailer and air conditioned pickup brought us home.
We do a repeat tomorrow but supposed to be only 111.

Thake care of you and yours.

Donna I lost so much info when i lost my phone and still trying to rebuild data base and parrallel on in address book this time around... I laugh about your book because one of her top three toys is the toy phone she has - purple like Nama's and we read the book when i go to her house and we play with our phones!!!

Heat is terrible for our area - suffered at market yesterday - not sure I can do Tuesday's predicted 115 degrees!!! but afraid to let hubby go it alone either - will see how we are doing when it is time to roll.

Linda, you must be having a Sr moment. You bought a copy of my book for Sarah and it you recall it is about my personal experience in getting a cell phone. I thought I sent you my phone number. I will send it to you via facebook. Another busy day packing. I had to stop and take a break most of the afternoon because of very sharp surgical pain. I have had very little in the past few days. I think I just lifted something too heavy.
We got almost an inch of much needed rain today. I sure wanted to get in the pool but the rain was a blessing.

You two are putting together good plan i think i agree with text group for prayer needs and weekly email for life... I will Spark mail my address and numbers to each of you. -I think Donna has email but not sure about phone.

Market went well with 95-100degrees - but good wind and shade on lovely lawn! Learning to PRE hydrate was excellent plan .. Fred a quart and me a pint before even leaving home and another while setting up then me reminding Fred through the market.

Good evening. I am so tired at the end of each day of packing. Every Tuesday and Thursday we make a trip to Ace to pick up more free boxes. It is such a challenge to find boxes that fit what we need to pack. We finalized our closing date with the title company. Cant believe we only have 36 more days here. 7 of those days we will go back to Oklahoma and 7 of those days I will go on a mission trip to Delta, Co for kids club which our church helps with.

At first I thought the texting would be a good idea, but I dont think I would take the time to share like I do here. What I think it is excellent for is prayer requests. We could send emails once a week for general what is going on in our lives. We will get this figured out.

Need to get one more box packed and call today good.

Cell phone texts are nice for immediate reading but probably will only answer once a day not be in a chatting format ...does that make sense? My church prayer ministry and farmer's market business keep my phone busy but it is always in reach so I can read but not nessecarily answer till later.

Heat wave is keeping me quiet and careful - needed a nitro for chest tightness last evening so will take bp monitor and be extra cautious.

Donna...I remember how tired I got packing up our home to move. Do you have an official move date?
Linda...praying for you to feel well with not market day.
I have had headache for 2 days with decrease of thyroid & am nauseated. Tylenol & Dramamine seem to be helping some. Hope my body adjusts quickly.
If you guys would like we can make a private cell phone group for check in & prayer requests. I don't check my email that often & group texting works good & would be similar to spark for us. My daughter did this when I had surgery & worked good with Linda. Let me know your cell phone numbers by email & I can set it up.
Hugs Barb

Good morning, I think emails should work just fine. I like that I can share pictures. I sure will miss this forum. I need to get both of your email information in my address book. My days seems so long. I spend about 8 hours or more packing. A lot of that time is just finding what to put in the box that will fit. Moving companies just fill up a box with paper. You wouldnt believe how much wadded up paper it takes to fill up empty spaces You have to fill up these spaces or the box will cave in.
I am beginning to finally notice after 9 weeks my sharp needle like pains are finally getting better from my surgery. I was so frustrated with facebook yesterday. I am selling a lot of stuff on one of the for sale sites and it wouldnt let me. So thankful because I decided to delete the app on my phone and reload it and it works now. I wish we had a time to do a garage sale.

The people who bought our home is coming over this evening to learn how to take care of the pool.

Emails with the 3 of us should be fairly easy to do - easy to send attatchments of pictures or posters. My husband does have access to my emails but rarely reads the personal ones - but I am a full disclosure kind of gal and wanted to mention that up front. It stays in our four walls but we are totally open to each other with facebook and our separate email accounts.

I have packed our liquids for market today - we will bein the heat [forecasted 100 degrees] 2pm to 6:30pm or if we sell out earlier - in semi shade in a grassy park. ill get some fresh cherries to munch on with our protein snacks and space out the sips for good hydration nd care for my heart issues.

Barb, praying your adjustments in your thyroid meds dont cause you any problems. It is so good to see things are getting better with you. I just saw your spark mail with your info. Thanks. How would you suggest we do this private prayer request information you mentioned in your mai? We could have a private group on Facebook, but I dont think you do that. Email is the only way I know we can continue our fellowship.

I am doing terrible in my eating. We are trying to use up freezer food and to do so I am eating more calories than I should. My lunch calories are too high. I havent weighed in weeks and I am getting ready to face the scales. I have got to start tracking again. I was so thrilled that a month ago that clothes that were too tight were now loose, but they are getting tight again. I see my endocrinologist next week when we go up to Oklahoma to work on the house and I really had hoped to weigh at least 5 lbs less.

90+ degrees here all week. Staying in the air conditioned home. Zoom meet with doctor & thyroid levels are high. Decreasing dose this week. Appreciate prayer that change does not cause more nausea. Just starting to eat & feel normal.
Hubby had good Fathers Day. Kids did group video chat to encourage him. Barbecued too.
Hugs to you guys. Smiles Barb

Linda, I had sure hoped things would have improved after you took a trip to Alaska. Glad that you had a good day anyway. Barb, hoped your husband had a good Father’s Day also.
Got a good report from my mammogram today.
We have been having 100 plus days for several days. Today when I woke up it was only 59. High is about 79. I will be surprised if it hits that.
Back to packing.

So good to hear from each of you - sounds positive and progressing in both of your lives.

This bereaved family is so strong - large family and been through losts of trials and are just positive through it all. A real inspiration to see their family pull together.

Our Father's Day was blessed with calls, pictures and smiles from daughter's family and sad dened by silence from Alaska son - we just keep hoping and then get disappointed. doing the best we canwith that situation.

Heat wave here this week - being careful with liquids as congesive failure is more sensitive with each passing month - will continue to live as close to "normal" as possible - just rest and keep cool and medicate as needed. Three markets if we can do them.

Hi!
Donna...Glad packing is happening & that you are enjoying your pool too. Do you have a pool at your new home?
Linda...Sad for family who lost son to gang violence. Will pray.
Quiet day here. Hubby is barbecuing for he & Mom for father's day. I am eating leftover more tummy friendly food. Have been able to add in a few more food items this week & feeling thankful.

Good morning. Strange I am not getting notices of new posts. I enjoyed catching up. I only have a few minutes so can’t respond Linda to all your posts, but noted where prayer was needed. It sounds like you are have great success with selling your veggies

Super busy packing. I get in the pool most days and exercise for about an hour. My eating and tracking isn’t doing too good.

I will try and respond more this afternoon

Have a blessed Lord’s day.

Checking in - Market went well ysterday - warm but not overheating... sold out

Starting another grief ministry to an family - neighbor's son was severely beaten by gang activity and they could not save him - passed last evening. Don't know the family real well but the husband's older sister was in my graduating class and she is devestated. I will take groceries today and see what else we can do.

Sunday was farewell to our pastor - going to Michigan to lead needy church - heavy population of muslems there so pray protection and blessings on them. This is the pastor that told me 15 year ago that he would be my 'Nother son' when our son chose to walkaway from us - so this is an extra hard "letting go" of him and his family of 4 kids - the oldest just graduating HiSch. So Thankful for the communications available to us and and strong faith that they are called to this new mission.[they are the family that spent 7 years in Malawi.]

Going to spend today with BFF and grief ministry - will be a good day to laugh and cry and remember and heal just a wee bit. This is the one whose son was killed in hunting accident in late April .. Praying I can encourage.

Saturday Market - good to see many of our market 'family" and excellent music and sold most of produce - weather was COLD and i am still trying to thaw out!!! Blood sugar was better this morning and weight stable - grabbed the wrong mediset as i was going out the door - so did not get heart meds on time [four hours late] - a little chest tightness now but think it will be ok when they catch up - had a short nap and catching up with hydration - BP back to normal after being up a few days so I think all systems are Status quo.

Linda...Glad you had a good market day & that you have plan to come home if you are not feeling well.
Donna...when we moved out of our home & moved I remember my DH was slow at packing too! Hard for you to be doing this when your not 100% feeling well. Will pray all the move & fix up your new home details come together.
I am reminding myself how much better I am doing & working on food choices that do not cause lower tummy pain. One day at a time!
Hugs Barb

Good morning. Woke up again way too early.
Our recent trip to Oklahoma went well. We went to a couple of places to look at new windows and found out there is no way windows can be installed until after we move. Depending on the windows they would be 8 weeks to 4 months before we can get them installed. We have people out to measure the windows the past couple of days to get bids. Our renters move out July 1 and we will go down and work on painting 3 of the 4 bedrooms and hopefully have new carpeting before we move. We also have popcorn ceiling junk that we need to remove. I wont be surprised if it is 6 months before we can redo the kitchen. Still working on a new design. We thought we had one, but daughter has come up with more possibilities.
When one of the guys went to do window measurements he couldnt do the back of the house because of dogs. The lease said they can have one dog and it seems they have 3. I called our property manager and he said they are in violation of the lease and he will be calling them. Not much we can do about it since they are moving in a few weeks. There is a chance they may not get back certain deposits. I was glad the window guy took a video of the 3 dogs for proof.

Barb, praying tummy is better again. I looked at Spark360 and not sure I will join. From what I understand the nutrition tracker wont be like we have here. We wont have the long list of saved foods. The tracker was my big reason I joined Sparks in the first place. The teams I joined were just the topping that I love. At one time I was a part of 11 teams, but it was just too time consuming and basically just have this one.

Packing is going ok. Getting my husband to stay focused is a challenge. He has a lot more areas to work on then I do. He is still working in the office throwing and cleaning. Tackling the garage and shed will be the big challenge. I had hoped by now he would be working on those areas.

We have our pool almost opened. One last step which is getting the water warm so I can get in and do the final vacuuming. Hopefully I can do that in a few days. I need to get back to some good exercising. I have done poorly since my knee revision in Sept.

Continued prayers for areas you have mentioned.

Linda...letting go of things is difficult for me too. A few things that help me are 1. Seeing changes as protective direction from the Lord ( "I know the plans I have for you...plans to bless you & not to harm you... " Jeremiah 29:11), 2. Keeping some part of what I am letting go of (maybe you can go to market at lunch time & bring lunch to whoever is working & say hi to your friends) & 3. Look for the new thing God has planned for you to be doing. ( "See I am doing a new thing ...do you not perceive it?" Isaiah 43:9). Hugs
Donna...Will send you my email by spark mail. How is packing for moving going? I am planning to stay on here to end & have started using spark 360 app as well. Spark Guy blog yesterday said that a food/nutrition tracker will be added to spark 360 but not til August. Tracking my food is one of the 1st reasons I Joined spark. Seeing my calories & carbs & nutrients daily keeps me accountable.
I am thankful that we have a couple more months here & that we can do email together & continue praying for & supporting each other.
I am having tummy pain this am & will try to choose gentler foods today. Feel like I am doing better but being really careful with what I eat & amount at each meal is necessary.
Hugs Barb

Some will leave now - I am thinking about doing one more challenge just like I planned -- will see how we are doing health and mental clarity after a few more markets - this last week has been rough physically and on my confidence -- I am really struggling with accepting slower, less mobile time ahead after fighting so hard to maintain what i have.

One day at a time Sweet Jesus is still my theme song ...
Temp is finally stable and normal but blood pressure and blood sugar are both up and tired after just small store shopping today - hubs is doing well and fretting over me which makes me feel all the more helpless but we will work together and make this change work too.

Barb - let us hear from you and know you are loved and prayed for each day

Wow. I just got a post from a person on another team and teams are already disappearing. I wanted to let other teams I lead know what is going on and I can’t even find them. They are no longer on my list. I am sending you my email. Please send me yours so when this is gone we still have a contact source.

Barb, I got a post from the leaders group about SparkPeople shutting down. I have been following the comments on there. You can google SparkPeople people shutting down. It will no longer be online. Taking its place will be sparkAmerica which will be totally different. You can be a part of a city team and that is about it. What apps that they have will be different. I personally think we will have to go to emails. Since they could get long and confusing we would need to start a new letter each Monday. This gives us time to see what works best for us.

Yes to email or text messaging. We could do a group text thread & do similar chat/sharing/prayer updates we do here. Question...did you get an email telling you about end of spark & options? I only see notes from spark friends that are upset. Would like to read something from spark leaders. Smiles Barb

I have looked at other food trackers and don’t like them. I look at all the recipes I have calculated and now lose all that info. I think we will just have to go to Emails as there is stuff I share with you gals that I don’t want in Facebook.
Need to head to the bank before it closes.

Sickness is crawling out the door -fever appears to have run it's course and I am nearing my
"normal" and still fragile and weepy. Will attend one out-doors, sitting meeting today if still no fever - board meeting that needs a quarum and observes distances and I keep it short and business like!!! Five miles too and from and a grocery pick up for essentials then home to rest.

Really struggling with the idea that Spark People is walking out on us!! We have been together for so many years and not ready to loose the prayer pardners that you two have have become.
Yes, I can do emails, or facebook for Donna and I Barb is facebook an option for you at all???
My other concern is the food tracking ... I really like and TRUST this one and have tried several others. Out of comfort zone into new possibilities I guess!!!

Home in our own bed and the hard work of packing begins.
I am just heart broken. It appears that SparkPeople is closing as of as of Aug 17. It will be totally different and no longer free. No more mobile apps or anything. The thought of losing touch with you gals is like losing a prayer partner. I know I see Linda once in a while on Facebook, but we share a lot of things between us that we dont do there. Would you be interested in doing emails? I hate loosing my food tracker and when I think of the hours I have put in building up my list. Not sure what I will change to.

Need to finish unpacking.

Donna, I know about the hubby that "has to get home" routine - EVERY trip we take --such a homebody!!

Still sick a bed - not a happy camper - fever appears to have broken and I feel less painful and brain more clear and heart and chest feel clear and strong -

And praise the Lord, my sweet Granddaughter that just went through full body Roseola rash after her fever is doing MUCH better - their Dr. had a little talk with Sarah [HaHa] telling her it is time for her to quit scaring her parents and be healthy for a while -- still medicating her for the reflux and then to have high fevers for 4 days is rough on parents!

I have to stay home from church - breaks my hear since young friend is preaching his first sermon - thankful for 'on-line church"

Linda, so sorry you are running a fever. Praying you are better soon.
Been a quiet day here in Oklahoma. We will head back home in the morning. I would really like to stay and go to church in the morning, but dh always wants to get home so he can rest in the afternoon. We have a lot to get done in the next 6 weeks.

Linda..I too am having a difficult time tolerating heat. My body is "goldilocks" as I age and requires everything to be "just right". So thankful for air conditioners & marine air flow to cool things down in our area. Praying you will find option of someone to do farmers market on too hot for you days.
Donna...Glad you were able to go to new home & have window options. Many things are taking months to get with back ups all over the world. Need story last night was about how our sea ports on the west coast are backed up in receiving supplies. Just off of our Washington coast we have multiple container ships sitting in the sound because there is no room at the port to unload what they brought. Total back log in transportation with trains & trucks etc too. It took 6 weeks for us to get a washer & dryer delivered & 4 months for our friends to get a freezer. Windows sound like they are effected too!!
I am feeling thankful today to be feeling better daily & so blessed to have more energy to do more. Appreciate prayer for my Brother & family as they work on care plan for SIL's mom with dementia. They are trying to care for her & keep her at their home & juggling her increasing care needs. Dementia/Alzheimer's is just not easy.
Take care. Smiles Barb
