Everyday isn't perfect, but the a couple days you were over were just slightly over. Not that bad!!!! One of the diet doctors made a statement that following a program 80% she considers a success. You're not that far off. You're losing and it will become easier as you go along.

Looking at your numbers, you're only slightly over and should be fine for your weight loss goals. Being exact on calories is tough even if you weight your food. If you are close and losing weight and feeling ok, I wouldn't worry about it.

Worse comes to worse and short 1/2 hour walk would cover those extra calories easily.

Don't be so tough on yourself, the world is tough enough on us all emoticon

3. Suffering can be ended.
4. Freedom from suffering is possible by following the Eightfold path.

marble columns is still an outhouse.

I think sometimes we have to hit rock bottom before we can start climbing out full force. Atleast that's what I needed. I had started off really good then for some reason just couldn't keep it together. So I took a break from Sparks and went back to my old ways. Until I saw myself gaining weight again and feeling horrible did I wake up and realize I had to get back on track. Ofcourse it's better not to let yourself go there before you wake up.

Also I just had to realize that just the fact of not ever giving up makes me a winner. As long as I keep trying, I keep coming back than I'm not a looser. I'll be a looser the day I stop trying.

But you have to give yourself a good hard talk. You need to want it and you need to work for it.

Good Luck!

Where did we get the impression that to try is somehow equal to failure unless there is notable "success"? It's the TRYING that counts... have you tried to stay within your calorie range? YES Have you stayed inside your calorie range? SOMETIMES Are you going to try again tomorrow? If the answer to this last question is YES... then you're a success in my book!

exactly and you have no idea also how many calories you can burn getting on your hands and knees and scrubbing floors the old fashioned way. I swear that is what I call a total body workout. Best three bucks I ever spent was on knee pads and my floor shines like you wouldn't believe. lol.

The other poster was right, no matter how many slip ups you have just get back on the horse and ride. Even if you dont formally "exercize." Just aim to stay in your daily caloric range and everyday activities that give you joy can be your activities. I lost a ton of weight without exercizing all that much., You have a beautiful little baby, get on the floor and play with her, that will burn calories, clean your house, that too burns alot more than people give credit for, I have pretty much considered cleaning my house my daily work out for the last year and not only do I feel like I am accomplishing something, Im burning fat at the same time. There are plenty of things you can do to burn calories without having the guilt of feeling like you didnt do your exercizes for the day. Dont fall in that trap. For many years I would attribute my falling off the horse and faiing to get back on by slipping out of my "exercize." By finding everyday stuff that I normally do anyways, and just by putting a little more effort into it to give me that extra caloric burn I have never had a guilty exercize free day and I can honestly say it helped me tremendously to lose the weight. The key is to find something you like to do, even if its mopping the floors. You have to make what ever gives you joy work for you. You can do it!!!

It's no easy task to change a lifestyle which may be "habit" now...but it can be done...it's called...change the "thinking" to "I can" and "I will"! Make plans to do it...that was what messed me up the most is not "planning" my "food day".
Best of luck to you this week.

Jennifer..
It's not hard to get caught in that trap. I know, I'm there fairly often myself.
The trick is to not wallow in self pity, recognize that the numbers show what allowing yourself to slack does, and GET BACK ON THE HORSE.

This is what I have to tell myself. No one can do it but me.

Best of luck. *hugs*

I don’t know what’s going on with me but it totally shows with what my weight as of a ½ hour ago.

This is how last week went for me (my range is 1330 – 1680):
11/10 – 1899 cal. (219 over)
11/11 – 1278 cal. (good)
11/12 – 1907 cal. (227 over)
11/13 – 1753 cal. (73 over)
11/14 – 1721 cal. (41 over)
11/15 – 1602 cal. (good)

See? I only had 2 good days. It’s either eating too much or eating the wrong stuff. And the lack of exercise probably didn’t help me either.

I know I was given suggestions already. I keep saying I’m going to try harder; I don’t know if those have much meaning anymore. I guess I’m gonna have push ever harder.

Sincerely,

Jennifer
