Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Having lots of great things to do in the house: books, movies, Netflix, music, jigsaws, etc., though I do go out for a drive and/or walk most days
-Erring on the side of caution; almost always my preference
-Working for a company that cares
-Friends and family checking in on me as I round the corner to a difficult 6-year anniversary tomorrow
-Cassie, Cleo and Rosie
-Clean sheets and clean PJs ... aaaaaaah

Have a great evening all,
Stephanie

Grateful for:

hearing the rumble of my Dad's voice in the other room. So lucky to have him and my mother still in my life.

For decisions to stay home and not panic and not join in the rush to the grocery stores to buy out, well, everything. LOL. Will pick up groceries Monday, thank goodness for curbside pickup!

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-My company, as I continue to work from home to get it done
-My Aussie music friends, who always have the best ideas:
-Going to a few artist friends' websites and ordering their work and other merchandise (so many musicians are having gigs canceled right and left and this is their living)
-Dealing with disappointment by knowing that erring on the side of caution is best for now
-A long, important talk with my sister tonight and more to come over the weekend
-The best kitties I could ask for in so many ways

Goodnight all,
Stephanie

Grateful for much... and thinking today about the effect we have on each other's lives. Even random people you meet, or who overhear you. its humbling when you affect someone's life for the better. Its sad if you realize you had a hissy fit, and didn't have as good an effect as you would like.

But certainly, grateful today that i do see hope and that things will work out well.

Grateful for: reading all your posts. They remind me of so much to be grateful for!

@KALIGIRL I miss you when you are not here. So glad you came and posted.

Grateful that: we have resources that will keep us safely at home. So many people can't do that easily.

Grateful that I have time to cancel, and while I wish i could go to a longed for event, at least it isn't something crucial to my business or well being....

On this beautiful spring-like evening, I'm grateful for all of this, yet so much more:

-Doing well working at home and getting everything done; the current plan is two week increments at home, then two in the office, until further notice
-Since I have extra time each day now, my goal is 30 minutes of yard/garden work each day that is nice enough to do so & 30 minutes for a walk or other exercise - both done today!
-A nearby park that I love to go walk in and did so at lunch today
-These sweet kitties who seem to be alternating hanging with me; we all enjoy the extra time with me at home
-More meals at home since I don't have the work cafeteria as a backup and I've done some good cooking
-Success with my second SparkPeople maintenance challenge; moving on to the third

Have a lovely evening all -
Stephanie

Grateful that we are doing well, and praying that we continue to do well! Now that the full fledged pandemic has been declared, working hard to keep the family (parents are over 88) healthy. Thankful that we have resources, good water, and the ability to look after ourselves.

Thankful for happy Rosy, who loves to have her entire family home.

Grateful this springlike Tuesday
* For taking a day off yesterday...binge watching TV and sipping ginger tea with lemon
* For nearby restaurants with delivery service. Sounds silly but I was craving "wings" with tangy spicy sauce to soothe a scratchy throat.I eat them about once a year, and it was the "perfect meal" last night!
* For waking from a bizarre stressful dream last night, and the sense of relief I felt this morning, realizing I wasn't stuck in traffic and going to be an hour late for the parade!
* For the friends and family in my life, and being aware of their love for me...

On this Saturday evening before moving the clocks, I'm grateful for:

-Getting through a stressful week (buyout package offerings, though not for me; work coronavirus precautions/protections; a friend's funeral; and much more)
-Packing up everything on a few hours' notice to work at home for the next two weeks, subject to change day by day and just fine by me because I love working from home
-The kitty girls will love having me work at home too, lots more time together, especially during a rough period of time for me
-Completing my second SparkPeople maintenance challenge with total success
-Gorgeous weather today for my turn doing neighborhood "beautification" (a/k/a trash patrol) for just over an hour, total win-win
-Treating myself to lunch out at my favorite salad place
-Anticipation of my monthly massage tomorrow; much needed
-A quiet evening at home with the kitties, snuggled in our soft, warm bed watching some TV

Goodnight all,

@SLASALLE loving your sunshine filled posts!

Feeling sad about Sandra's dislocated knee and other issues. Prayers for another medical solution/surgeon who is kinder.

Grateful today for: finding a new cousin, and reuniting him with his father's family. Wow, such a blessing. Hoping it continues to go well, and that both draw joy from the new relationship.

For a fairly peaceful day, despite stress over mom's frailness
And for some good positive news for the family.

Kim and Rosy, a heart team

Trying to feel grateful this Wednesday morning. Dislocated my knee again yesterday, spent eight hours in the ER, anesthesia to get it realigned, immobilized until I can have surgery again and my surgeon washed his hands of me with no explanation and referred me to a young colleague with two years experience post fellowship. The next step is tearing out all the components and replacing them with a hinged prosthesis, an invasive surgery with a long recovery. And the new surgeon said “don’t call me. I’ll call you.” I’ll post gratitudes later today when I hope to feel more grateful.

Tonight I'm grateful for:

-Another great day of sunshine and warmer temps
-Getting out at lunch and running a few errands with my sun roof open ... aaaaaaah
-One of those errands being a total car wash & vac ... looks so good
-Really using the standing station available at work and marching in place, today both in the morning and the afternoon, almost an hour each (so good to NOT sit all day)
-Being able to offer support and food for thought for a good friend with an important decision to make
-My mother, who forgave me immediately for waking her from a nap and listened and offered additional HR guidance to share with my friend
-My elderly neighbors who let me put their trash out for them because they have a steep driveway, tonight is the night

Goodnight all -
Stephanie

grateful
-to actually follow an intention all the way through
-there's hope to climb out of this rut
-for smiles that come from sewing and quilting baby blankets for new moms I care about
-some of their joyful expectation spills over
-to be able to stand by a friend with heaviness and stress in her life
-for gorgeous spring-like days

-A solid day of exercise and good eating
-Managing to stay away from THREE sources of chocolate at work today (aaaaargh ...)
-Picking up more heirloom oranges at Trader Joe's; they will go away any time
-The sweet kitty who's wedged herself between me and the back to the chair I'm sitting in! Ha!
-E-mail exchanges with my sister
-A bit of progress on one of my online courses
-My soft, warm, comfortable bed that's calling to me now

Goodnight all,
Stephanie

All that’s right in my life and here.

The good health my family and I enjoy.

Remembering to be grateful for all my blessings.

A husband that cares about my happiness.

Seeing the beauty all around me.

An afternoon with friends.

On this first evening of March, I'm grateful for all of this, and so much more:

-New beginnings, such as the new month of March
-Doing well with getting my exercise minutes in, which also helps my maintenance goals
-Lots of sunshine and fresh air over the weekend, certainly fills my soul
-A nice little walk in a nearby park this evening at my favorite walking time, dusk
-Talking to my cousin and making plans to go there for a visit in less than 2 weeks
-Getting several yard projects done and more added to the list
-Enjoying a Mexican lunch out today with an old, dear friend

Have a great evening -
Stephanie

Grateful for: that after a supremely irritating day yesterday, my family was kind to me and let me be grumpy for a while, before telling me to snap out of it.

That even with disappointment, there also come possibilities for better solutions.

That treating people kindly, works so many wonders.
And last but not least, that the sun is shining. Hooray! `

So leap day is behind us. A new month ahead of us. And all we have for sure is this moment. Let us live it in a state of gratitude.
