If you get a craving but you know you aren't really hungry, or you have no more calories to "spend"....
~Drink a big glass of water then go brush your teeth.

~Drink a big glass of water then chew minty gum (same affect as brushing teeth.)

~Tell yourself you can have the snack, as long as you eat 2 servings of vegetables first. So you eat the 1 cup of cauliflower, and still want the snack? That’s fine, but the veggies will help you feel full sooner, so you wont eat as much of the unhealthy snack as you would have if you had eaten it right away. (Feeling deprived from a particular food can cause people to binge eat, so never completely cut something out of your life forever!)

~Tell yourself you can have the snack, but AFTER you take a walk, or do 20 push-ups, or mop the floor. Put a distracting activity between yourself and your snack, to see if it is hunger or boredom that is driving your need to snack!

~Try not to “Waste” calories on beverages. In a day if you have say… 2 sodas, one bottle of juice and one glass of milk, that’s about 550 calories!

I like that one Jeniffer! I have been doing that a lot lately. I just started back watching my calories, and I am amazed by how much some things are! And I would eat that item all the time before! Crazy!

try to see how many calories in a candy bar or bread, and ask yourself do you really want all that fat? lol

Started at 192.5 and look at me now!
