I've been doing 30 day shred for a year. I can tell you that your calorie output varies a bit on your fitness level and height and weight and which level you are doing (I burn 100 calories more doing level 2 compared to level 1). I usually do the Shred & then add 20 minutes or so of some kind of cardio after it, so I don't know for sure how many calories it burns, but I think it is around 250ish (give or take about 40 calories) for me when I do level 2.

As for people looking at buying it TOTALLY worth it! I had so many people complimenting my arms when I got through all 3 levels! I felt stronger and it wasn't too bad to get through since it is really only 1/2 hour. AND it doesn't take much space to do it.

Her latest videos are KILLER though. I haven't been able to get through either one without cursing her yet! ;)

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

I got mine at Wal-Mart at about half the price of Target. It wasn't available in the store but they shipped it to the store free using Site to Store. I had it in three days. I did it for a week then had to quit to take my Mom to Mayo. Haven't picked it back up yet but I plan to. emoticon

Thanks for sharing. Are there any stores that carry this or do you have to order it on line?

I usually track it in circuit training, but I think a HRM would be more accurate. There is a Jillian Michaels 30DS group if you are interested in that too. Good Luck! emoticon

It really depends on how in shape you are. If you're in shape, you'll still burn calories, but not as many as if you're just starting to exercise. A heart rate monitor is the best way to get an accurate reading as the other person said. Make sure it asks for birthday and weight, and will show calories burned.

The 30 day shred is very intense. The calories burned depend on you! The best way to tell for sure is to wear a heart rate monitor that wraps around your chest and has your age and weight figured into the calculation. Or log it into your spark log as high impact aerobics for an estimate.

Does anyone know how many calories this work out burns, or is supposed to burn... because let me tell you i am a sweaty mess right because of it!
