I thought it was 10 minutes 5 days a week. If that's the case, you should be ok :)

What is a good thing to eat before you work out. Today I had 3 small pancakes and turkey sausage for breakfast. I worked out for 60 minutes, then got dizzy and nauseous and couldn't get my heart rate back down even after 10 minutes of cool down.

I thought maybe because it was a high intensity workout-never realized there were so many true exercise moves in dancing-and I didn't eat enough. Maybe my blood sugar dropped too low.

Thanks,
Nina

I was having a similar problem. I was working out and eating right and I put on 15 lbs. I went to my GP who sent me to a GI guy and it turns out I have Ulcerative Colitis and the weight gain and fatigue has been caused by that. If the doctor your seeing can't figure it out, go to another one! The coordination thing could be inner ear or something neurological.

Are you drinking enough water before and after exercise? Dehydration can cause some weird symptoms.

And maybe a DIFFERENT doctor (not one of your current one's partners) for another opinion.

I know it's hard, but stay positive. I've added you as a friend. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I really think you need to see a doctor again. What you are describing isn't normal and you need to find out why it's happening. What you are describing can by symptoms of serious conditions. I'm not implying you have one but you need to also make sure you don't. If your doctor doesn't take you seriously you need to see another one until you find one that does.

Sleeping could be an issue. I've tracked all my food and worked at the time between workouts. The longest I've "pushed" through with this is 6 months. I actually had a massage scheduled with the sports massage lady at the gym that last day. When we started my body went into a really bad spasm and even she couldn't work it out. Had to call for help to get home that day. It's just weird.

Try tracking your food with the food tracker and see if you are not getting enough of the right nutrients. Try eating a banana about 30 minutes before the workout--you may need some "fast carbs" to help those energy levels.

Also, make sure you're getting enough sleep. Are you increasing the exercise gradually or taking big leaps?

Could it be that you are not fueling your body with enough nutrient-dense foods and sufficient calories?

Is it possible you are not giving yourself enough time off between workouts? I must say that your situation sounds familiar, but I think I have pushed through that stage before and found evidence of becoming stronger on the other side...

I've been active for a long time, lost weight, gained it back, lots of ups and downs. But one thing is constant and remains a puzzle to me.

When I exercise, the theory is that the longer (as in consistency over weeks, building up your minutes and weights over time) I keep working out, the stronger I should become with more endurance capability. But this isn't happening. Once again after 3 consistent weeks of "official workouts" as opposed to just walking, gardening and etc, my body is feeling weak and it is all I can do to do the 10 minute Walk it Out DVD. This doesn't make sense to me. I've tried several approaches to time of day, what I'm eating and nothing seems to make any difference. I've also noticed that my coordination is really lacking (which does make for a comical scene for anyone watching........but...)

I've been to the doctor, but maybe I'm not describing things right or asking the right questions because I'm not finding any reasons for this from them. So this is an attempt to see if I'm missing the obvious or if anyone has had a similar situation and found a fix for it.

Thanks!!
