@Fearless,

That sounds like an AMAZING event! Enjoy! Don't even think twice! As a former line cook, I would love to attend an event like that. :)

Things happen! You're allowed to indulge once in a while. I've got an author brunch coming up tomorrow for work (super fun... two authors are coming to discuss their books, we get free food and free books!) and it's at a restaurant. I've been to these before, you can choose from *almost* anything off the menu. Most of these things are very junky, especially for someone who's doing cycle 1 like I am. I'm going to order something I like, but make sure it's not too bad for me and not finish the whole plate :)

And hey, if something happens and I don't have the willpower to leave some, it's just one meal.

i feel like an artist who's lost his touch; he likes himself in his art, but his art not too much.

Isn't it great to know now that when we do slip, we don't beat ourselves into the ground like we used to.
I slipped yesterday too. Was babysitting from 8:30-7pm and had a board meeting with pot luck at 6:30 (had to take my boys, but they were angels) and I wasn't so much. I ate everything that was on that table...including some of the desert, even when one of my board friends asked...you aren't going to eat that cheese cake are you? I knew I should say no, but I said Yes I am!!!!!" and I did.
Back on the horse again today. That's why I like this place. I know I am not going to be judged for being human. Any other group, I would feel the need to lie lol.

there was an unexpected luncheon at work...I didn't do too badly, but I did eat two chicken fajitas (one corn & one flour tortilla...not something in cycle 1) and had 3 bites of refried beans. Oh. and a coke. yes. complete with sugar. Day 7 and I fell off. I will get back on in the morning (though I do not expect any more slips this evening) and all will be hunky dory!

Just wanted to fess up.
