toast with cottage cheese and cinnamon sprinkled on top

egg beaters made the night before and microwaved, add lots of veggies, salsa, fat free shredded cheddar

3 hard boiled egg whites, 1 Tbsp light mayo, 1 tsp relish and some pepper (make the night before) wrapped in a santa fe tortilla factory carb choppers tortilla (not really breakfast food, but I love it)

french toast made with 45 calorie bread, spray butter and sugar free syrup (you can make these ahead of time, freeze in a single layer first then bag them up, just pope them in the toaster or toaster oven when you wan them, can do the same with pancakes)

Hi, Smart Ones makes these really good frozen breakfast meals. They have sandwiches, or burritos and even a meal and they only take about 30sec to heat up. They are about 200 calories. Some are less. I love them. Although try not to eat them daily. I try to eat them about every other day. I usually have special k or even egg whites and rye toast the other days. Hope I helped!

I find a protein shake keeps me from getting hungry until lunch. I also try drinking water between which gives me a full feeling.

If you are thinking of trying cereal, try Kashi GoLean crunch and Almond Breeze unsweetened Vanilla milk substitute.

Tasty combination!

I do yogurt with 2 T grapenuts. My fav is WW lemon pie or key lime, It really taste like pie when you add the grapenuts for texture and crunch

lovebeam,
Back when I was hard core losing, I measured it frozen with a scale. That way I was also measuring the water content and getting less calories.

Now I just eyeball the fruit. I use a 1 cup measurer and even though the foot sticks out the top, it also doesn't pack and there are a lot of empty spaces. I figure it evens out.

What i want to know is for those who use frozen fruit for smoothies are you measuring the fruit frozen or thawed???????? If frozen are you using a food scale because you can't really use a measuring cup

of course there is the old standby, granola bars or other healthy bars like that. I've made my own to be a little heathier, not hard to make either.

My girls like to have the mini bagels with whipped cream cheese on them and a cut up apple

My hubby prefers to make a quick omelet with some pre-grated cheese.

I eat cottage cheese and some fruit most days or I have a PB&J... I'm not a breakfast food person.

Not really. I do so I know how much to put on my food tracker, but for the most part, I add how much I'm in the mood for. I usually will taste it after it's mixed a bit and add more if I need to.

An eggy in a basket is bread with a hole cut out of the middle, with an egg fried inside. Just cut out the hole, pop the bread in a frying pan (with butter, oil, or Pam to keep it from sticking/burning), and crack an egg in the middle. Be sure to flip it once the bread gets a nice golden color on the bottom.

For the smoothies, I don't defrost the fruit. It adds a nice texture if it remains frozen, I think.

Another thing I discovered as a great breakfast is Lunchables. They're yummy, and they fill me up pretty good. Not traditional, but quick, easy, and usually fairly cheap if you get them on sale.

If you have a Magic Bullet or mini blender (I got one from Wal-Mart for around $20, I think), you could make super quick smoothies. Yogurt, fruit (I use frozen, because it's easier and quicker), blend and you're good to go. I also rely on Eggy-in-a-Baskets for breakfast. They easy, tasty, and the egg keeps me full for awhile. Fried egg sandwiches are the same, just pop the bread in the toaster while the egg fries.

I read this somewhere else, but can't find the print-out I made of it, so sorry I can't reference the source.

But anyway, this person recommended making basic fast-food type foods and freezing them. Then pop them in the microwave, and voila! quick breakfast.

I tried this with an egg mcmuffin type sandwich, and it worked out pretty slick. English muffin, slice of cheese, one strip of bacon cut in half, and some better n' eggs scrambled up. Wrap the whole thing in waxed paper and then pull it out that way and microwave in the waxed paper. By making them myself, it was even somewhat healthy.

The only downside is you can't keep them in the freezer too long- mine were kind of soggy upon reheating when they had been in the freezer a while.

I assume from your original post that you are looking for some kind of hot breakfast rather than cereal. The original author also recommended breakfast burritos and mini-quiches (made in a muffin pan).
