The only time I don't like walking is when temperatures here have been extremely hot. Even in the evenings when the blazing sun has gone you can still feel the heat off paths, roads and buildings!

I would never leave my house if it was cold or raining then I got my Garmin.. Got up this morning and it was 45 degrees here and light rain, Thought about going back to bed. Instead put on heavier pants and sweatshirt and grabbed my umbrella. Family thought I was crazy but I was not going to let that stop me from my morning walk. emoticon

I mostly just walk around my apartment. I still average over 11,000 steps a day.

Depends on the weather and how much my dogs are involved.

Some days when in the mid teens I have been outdoors and in the fields or woods with my dogs. Other days the are done on a Treadmill / Elliptical with miminal outdoor activity.

I walk outdoors unless it is too hot or raining/snowing and then I walk indoors.

As long as it isn't icy in winter I walk. I did get some cold weather gear last year. This year to avoid the heat I started walking at 6am.

I try to walk in all weathers, the only thing that would defeat me is if it's just too hot. That doesn't happen very often though living in the North of Scotland!

I have an indoor basketball court (gym) at work so I come in early when no one is here and do walking laps around the court before work. I can stay dry and somewhat cool. So my walking workouts are just 5 days a week.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

I live in Texas and walk/run in anything other than when it's lightning. I just go slower and make sure I really hydrate when it's 90 and above.

I just got my Vivofit this Spring so I'll see how I do next Winter. I do walk in the rain however. When I try to walk in the heat and humidity I get a headache.

I walk in all kinds of weather, except when it gets very cold and slick outside. I do like walking in the rain unless there is lightening.

I'm in the opposite boat because I live in Alaska. We almost never have heat above 70 degrees and it rains or snows about 330 days out of the year here. However, I'm a runner and I do run in all weather conditions except for slush. Sun, snow, rain, or heat, I'm out there. The only reason I don't run in slush is because it's really slick and my ice cleats don't help. I love how my miles keep me in touch with what's going on in the world.

This morning at 10:45, I went for a 25 minute walk. It was about 87 degrees outside. I tried to walk in the shade. My walk was 3/4 sun and 1/4 shade. It was hot but I got in my walk.
