It's impossible for me to do this. I really do love them all. I'm presently allowing the wildflowers bloom all over, but gradually trying to collect them into areas. The daffodils are finished, but now the wild geraniums are blooming, as are wild phlox and another deep purple one I can't name. The purples are here and lovely. Our redbud blooms are completely gone and the dogwoods almost gone. What a lovely, energizing time of year!

Maritimer3, thanks for the tip on dahlias. I love them too, but like you had trouble remembering to dig them up in the fall (at least, doing it on time!)

I have a coral peony that I think is the most beautiful flower. It has thrived wherever it is planted. I want to be just like it.

That's a huge question!

Spring: lilacs, narcissis, daffodils, crocus and tulips

Wild flowers: trilliums, shooting stars, dog tooth violets (we called the Easter Lollies when we were small), butter cups, syringa

Summer: roses, gladiolas, irises, carnations

Just about any floral arrangements

I could almost say any/all colours, but I do have favourites.

Tulips are my favourite in the spring; for the shape as well as the colours. They are elegant!

I have a lot of purple, pink and white flowers, but last year rediscovered zinnias after not planting them for years, and loved their bright primary reds and yellows. They bloomed until the frost, and will definitely be part of my garden again this year.

Another "oldie" that I will plant this year is dahlias. I gave up on them because I always forgot to dig up the bulbs before the frost. This year I will plant them in big tubs which I can move into the garage when it gets cold. I always plant petunias and geraniums, probably because my mother always did.

I want to try some new perennials this year. Last year I added anemone, blanket flowers and allium; this year I will add coreopsis and more ornamental grasses.

I wish I had a bigger yard. There are so many flowers I want to try!

In the Spring, daffodils are my favourite flower. Then there are pansies. I like all the colours but I do like yellow.
