Way to go SAC1DRL!! That's great!! I've been looking for a 5K to sign up for in my neck of the woods and the only one I can find is March 14ish. I'm only on W1D2 so I won't be ready for that one. I might have to start my own 5K!

I just did my first 5k! I finished in just over 36 minutes- my pace was 11:45/mile. I'm doing another one at the end of March (to work on my pace) and then a 10k in May!
If it really is a bug, it bit me.

I finished Week 6 finally!!!! Ahhh!! Took me way longer than the time they suggest but I wanted to do it by the distance so I'm happy I finished. On to week 7!

I am so proud of you for finishing! I am on Wk 6 Day 2 right now. I am also doing 2 miles in 30 minutes instead of the amount they recommend. I hope to keep working on my endurance and eventually be able to run the full 5K as well. Good luck to you! You are not only a finisher, but a true runner. You have inspired me, and I am sure many others.

I started Week 1 Day 1 today, did good for having a 'bad' ankle AND knee!!! got some shin splints, which sucked, but i pushed through and i am super proud!

W1D2 coming up monday!!! emoticon

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.

I did it! I'm officially a c25k grad! I completed W9D3 at a blazing 4.2 mph! hehe So...although I'm running 30+ minutes on a regular basis I'm only at 2 miles. My goal now is to continue to work on my endurance and be ready to run my entire first 5k on May 1st! It felt so good to finish my run this morning and say to myself "I'm not a quitter anymore. I am a FINISHER!"

This morning I completed w1d2. A friend of mine and I are going to do a 5K on April 10. My goal is to not walk a single step. No matter how long it takes me. What bothers me the most is that I use to run 5k's every weekend 15 years ago. But I was also 17 years old. So I just have to keep telling myself to finish it still running is an accomplishment for a mother 3 who has smoked for the last 9 years. emoticon emoticon

I just got home from the gym; I ran for 20 minutes straight at 6.2 without stopping. Never in my life have I been able to do that. I'm on such a high from my success right now! emoticon

I have two "I did it"'s to report! emoticon

On Friday I was able to complete W1D1! On Monday and Wednesday of that week I gave W1D1 a shot but on both days, ended up walking one or two of the "run" segments.. On Friday as I ran the last "run" segment, I felt like NOTHING could stop me! I was so excited!

Today I did W1D2, and I got further than on Friday, which means I am running faster AND I'm able to complete the workout emoticon

W1D2 SOOOOO much easier than the first day! It's amazing that I did it and I felt light on my feet. I'm actually excited to get to day 3! I've never EVER ever done something like this and I can't believe I was able to do it. Planning on sticking with it :)

Side note: I think treadmills make it easier than road
Also, Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire is an AWESOME song to match the tempo!

emoticon I'm proud to report that I finally did W1,D1 yay!!!! It wasn't too bad at all. My running days are going to be mon, wed, fri. With tues and sat being weight training days and thurs being my big hike day. Sundays will be stretching and yoga.

Now I just need a 5K to sign up for!!
