Susan, I too, am packing and moving at this time. Two households. My friend of 47 years is coming to live with me due to cancer and end-of-life situation (she has no family who wish to be involved). My friend was not happy in the nursing home her doctor put her in. I can't blame her. Just spent the last two weeks packing her stuff. Now it is my place's turn. So, before I pack my book case, this is my little library.

Remnants from my own library (bookshelves). We are packing as much as we can before our move in three weeks' time, after 12 years in the same house. So no going to libraries or reading for me at the moment!

PRIMEOFMYLIFE, that looks like one of my bookshelves (or maybe two of them).

This is the Little Library at the end of my street. I have several art books that I got from there a few weeks ago.

My collection. I have a studio but seem to do more research than pottery. I’m hoping to change that in May!

I've been retired almost 6 years now, so it must have been about 10 years go when I was there. I also had the opportunity to see the King Tut exhibit in the museum there. As I was at a training conference for work I only had evenings to explore. I really enjoyed what little of the City I got to see between classes. My sister lives in Kansas and now that she's retired I've thought a trip to Denver would be a nice sister bonding trip once this pandemic is over/manageable. I'd really enjoy being able to spend some time enjoying the sites.

Izzy, The Tattered Cover still exists, just smaller than when it was in Cherry Creek. It used to be in an old Neusteters store that I think was 5 stories and the original Tattered Cover took up the entire building. I don't know how large the one downtown is, but the one in Littleton is really small.

When were you in Denver?

Darlene, That's so sad. I spent several evenings rummaging through the Tattered Cover while I was at a week long training class in Denver back when I was still working. It was such an awesome book store. Sad that it's no longer there.

Wendi, that sounds a lot like the old Tattered Cover in Denver. You could find just everything in that store. They since had to move and the stores they have open now are much smaller, so not as much selection. I remember taking a friend there to find a Bible for her husband. No other store had it.

Wow, what an amazing place!! Love the pictures!

You are speaking my language, JO!!! I LOVE books!!!

Here's a great bookstore in Kansas City - it's three stories of everything you can imagine! I saw books so old that they are falling apart, right next to a book about Trump's reaction to the Covid Pandemic!! I could absolutely spend hours in here!

And this chair!!! LOL!!

There's books EVERYWHERE!! Even in the rafters in the basement!

And locals like to doodle all over the shelves and walls and doors - there's notes and drawings throughout the whole bookstore!
