Strength training is something I need to work in my program now.
When I lost weight back in 2011, I did so just by walking and was left with a lot of excess skin.
I didn't do any strength training at all.
I know as I do this again, I will still have excess skin I am sure but, with strength training I am wondering if it will at least make it not so bad. I gather this is my second chance since I am back to square one.

That said, pullups? Nope LOLI have a ways to go before i could even consider doing that.
My first goal is being able to jump with two feet at the same time in the air at once.
Can't do it yet, but trying!

I love the mention of kettlebells.
I do have small weights to start with (3 and 5 lb) and have been considering a kettlebell ..
Going to get one in the near future.

I was sold, right up until the Pullup bar showed up in the conversation. Because I have *NEVER* been able to do one, I followed the link to Master the Move for the pullup, and y'know what? PLANKS are in there!

Thanks for offering me hope that one day, I might just get my elbows bent enough to lift me off the floor. :-D
