Hi Mary Kay,
Thanks for the good words, I am familiar with the flylady, I will check out her website again. I have not heard of the Dr. Burns book so it will be on my list next time I visit the library. I am not taking any anti-depressants now, just my usual sleep meds. Thanks for reaching out.

Yes, I got the Feeling Good Handbook by David Burns. Highly recommended! Also second the www.flylady.com recommendation. Great ideas!

Hi I was reading your messages and let me tell you from experience that decluttering really does help your mood. If you are having trouble getting started like I did you need to check out www.flylady.com. She helps you get your life more organized. The most important thing is to take baby steps. I know it is hard but check her site out and read all about her program it is free. A book that I have found helpful in dealing with my depression is called "Feeling Good" by Dr. Burns. I don't remember his first name but it has several ways we can help ourselves in handling our depression. One thing to consider--what time do you take your depression meds if you are on them? I had to take mine in the morning or I couldn't sleep. Once I changed to morning doses I did great. Definitely talk to your therapist about this it might help. Remember we are all here for you and hope you are able to sleep better soon.--Mary Kay

Declutter!!!!!!! Wow what an accomplishment! I have a real problem with what I call hoarding and when I have tried to get with the clutter I get sick to my stomach, I know it has something to do with the depression and loneliness, I just have no gumption. I also have sleep issues and have had to use meds for years for it. I am thankful for the forum, please be encouraged. Denise

Hi Monika...good to hear from you. I took your advice about de-cluttering and spent several hours yesterday de-cluttering my kitchen cabinets. It is a very good feeling, and thank you for getting me inspired to get going on it. You take care of yourself, and keep in touch.

Glad you're still here, but sorry re the sleep. I certainly know what that is like. It is good, too that you have been able to do more declutter of your room, too. That may go a way to helping you to feel a little better.

Take care,
Kris
