When I was a child in the 50s, i got a Dale Evans Cowgirl doll. www.worthpoint.com/worthoped

in about j1959 and I loved her. I got married at 19 and my husband was so mean and hateful that he made me give away my dolls (I only had a couple) and my doll house that had a swimming pool. He didn't want to move any "junk" as we lived in different place around the country. I was such a fool to have allowed him to get rid of all my childhood memories.

When my oldest son was about 5 in '80, I got a Pattern and made him "Raggedy Andy." for his pre-school. He looked so cute.

emoticon I'm not really sure that I ever had a favorite costume, just because I am 50 years old now and I would still love to dress up! I do remember when I was 17 and worked at our local Wal-Mart (very small store), we were required to dress up if we had to work Halloween night I dressed up like Elvira. I was rockin' that dress with a slit on the side going pretty high, but still kept my business covered. I put on some slammin' makeup and a wig! LOL I had a blast and they put me as the door greeter! LOL

Halloween is coming soon and then comes Thanksgiving for some of you (I'm Canadian so we already had ours emoticon ) Then the Merry season of giving arrives.

What was your favorite Halloween costume you ever wore? What is a costume you have always wanted to wear?

What is your favorite holiday memory? Do you have a favorite recipe or toy you always wanted?

One of my favorite costumes as a kid was Jem from Jem and the Holograms! emoticon
