Hey Lovely Leaves-

I just wanted to thank each of you for the wonderful support you have given me throughout November. I haven't had the greatest month- it was actually pretty crappy. But, logging onto Spark and knowing I had all your support made it just a little bit easier. I didn't lose my goal 10 lbs, but I didn't gain, so that is definitely a plus.

Thank you again. Lots and lots of hugs! xoxo - Andrea

Ann - that is awesome that you are back on track. I am a little concerned for that very reason when I retire. I do so much better when I have to work and have my routine. I guess I had better get busy on planning what my routine will be come retirment happening!

I did go to Zumba and it was a good workout, but I would rather have gone to the one at the gym, but I am committed until the 12th to this class so I will go to it any time my friend is going to be there and if she is not then I will go to the gym.

I will miss you all too, but I am sure we will be seeing other again on our journeys! Hugs to everyone!

I will miss you all but look forward to seeing you on other teams in the future.
I almost forgot to check in! Today was my second day in a row in my calorie range & doing exercise!! I'm back on track! It's so easy when I'm in my regular routine.
I bought a little noble fir Christmas tree on my way home from work today.
After I got it in the stand with some water I got on my stationary bike for 45 minutes then did some upper body ST & some stretching.
I'm very tired and need to go to bed now.
@Susan, hope you enjoyed the movie!
@Barbara, I think you did zumba tonight, hope it was good.
@Andrea, I hope you're taking care of yourself!

Last day of our challenge ladies! Feel free to continue checking in here until I get the new teams posted.
I did see that Andrea joined the challenge so at least I know she's okay.
I got my tree all put together yesterday, and a workout, and boy was I worn out by the end of the day. I was going to put lights up, but got busy doing more scrap designs, and DH and I are going to see the new Twilight movie in about an hour.

Ann, I know how you feel sometimes about checking in but I'm glad you did.
Going through photos can be enjoyable and emotional at the same time, and also take a long time. I end up just looking at them rather than sorting them.

Barbara, Glad you got your cards and letters done. If I'm stressed, that's where I feel pain so maybe you were stressing over getting all of this done.

Have a good rest of your day!

Good morning team. I am sad that today will be our last day as the Leaves, but I am sure I will continue to see your name on the spark site and I hope that we will all be on a team together again soon. I have found each of you to be so encouraging and motivating.

I was happy to see the scale didn't go up over the weekend and I am prepared to make this a successful week with hopefully a pound or two gone. Tonight it is zumba for me and I plan to do my PT and some stretching as well.

@ Andrea - I am glad you had a good Thanksgiving. I can only imagine how busy you were visiting with all of your family plus your BF's too. My daughter had to do that when my granddaughter was small and it was exhausting for them both. I am glad you feel that you did pretty good despite eating what you wanted. It is good that you didn't emotionally eat though.

@ Susan and Ann - I hope you are both prepared for a successful week also. I will try to chat again tonight, but it is late when I get home, so we'll see.

Good morning, lovely leaves.

I am sorry it has been a while since I have checked in. Thanksgiving was ridiculously busy with visiting my multiple family units and then also my BF's. It does take quite a bit out of you. I know it wasn't such a good idea, but I let myself just be okay with eating what I wanted this Thanksgiving. I didn't emotionally eat, but I didn't fuss either. It made it much more enjoyable to just enjoy my family and, as it turns out, I did quite well. I am just going to get back on my schedule today and go from there.

I hope you are all doing well. I have thought about you each and every day this weekend and hope I can get back into the swing of things soon.

Lots of hugs. xoxo -Andrea

Well, my friends, I almost didn't check in today, but I have finished my Christmas cards and letter. Needless to say I didn't get much else done today. I did about 15 minutes of strength exercises mostly because my neck and shoulder and back have been hurting, but I really didn't feel that well today so I didn't get my walk in. Oh, well, it is a new week starting tomorrow and I will be on track again with everything.

@ Ann - I am sorry you've been off track, but going through old pictures can be emotionally draining for you. I hope you are close to being done.

I am sure Andrea is okay. My memory was that she was going to be away for the holiday weekend. I do hope we hear from her tomorrow though just for confirmation that she is okay.

I cant believe this month is coming to an end, and I do hope to see you all on December's challenges!

When I'm totally off-track like I have been for the past several days, I really don't feel like checking in. But since I did, I feel more accountable and have done better today. I'm so far staying in my calorie range.

Yesterday, though, was my third straight day of going w-a-y over, even though I swam my mile and did an hour of pilates.

I hadn't realized how emotionally charged sorting all the family photos would be, and that combined with a bunch of other factors really threw me off and I got pretty depressed last night and woke up with a headache and feeling nauseated (probably also due to over-eating).

But I decided I'd do my run I had scheduled (8 miles) which I'm very thankful that my DH did with me. The entire first half-mile I thought I'd throw up but then that went away and by the time I got home my headache had also faded to almost nothing. I ran much more slowly than usual, but that's OK.

It's close to 80 & sunny today. I'm feeling like it's my fault because I put the fan away in the closet the other day thinking I wouldn't need it again until next year! LOL! I miss having a real fall & winter. I'm sitting here perspiring in my sleeveless top & skirt. It's supposed to be warm again tomorrow so I think I'll make some coffee this evening I can have it iced tomorrow.

I'm going to try to get my sorted piles of photos put away this afternoon so I can take the table down and then resume the sorting during Christmas week.

Oh my this last week has gone by so quickly! I can't believe I'm back to work tomorrow. But only 4 weeks of work and I'll have another week off, and I will take some time in late January to visit parents, so for the next couple of months I'll have plenty of breaks.

@Susan, WTG getting your exercise in between the scrapping contests! It sounds like a good creative outlet for you. Have fun putting up your tree. For many years I just thought of it as a chore, but now I get a very small tree & only put up the ornaments that hold special meaning and it's much more a labor of love. I hope we can find a tree in the next week.

@Barbara, Andrea, Deborah--Hope your weekend has gone well!! We're almost done with November!

I hope to see everyone next month in a new challenge--I've decided to participate for December.

Good Sunday morning Leaves!
I am becoming addicted to scrap challenges. I made three yesterday, and just finished one this morning. I can't seem to stop! Last night I told myself "you're going to start exercising and eating better" and here it is 9:30 and I haven't worked out yet.

I do hope Andrea is okay...she hasn't been on in a while.

Barbara, Sorry you didn't sleep well and hope you got your cards done.
I'm subscribed to your blogs so I'll get an e-mail when you post it.

Ann, I'm totally off track with my eating too, and exercising. I can't seem to stop scrapping.
That's cool that your DH is a master frame maker!

Need to read some blogs, and I've started my fun one but haven't finished it yet.

Well I still have one foot off track--eating. I swam my mile this morning first thing then went to pilates class, so I'm back into exercise no problem. I'll have to start the new week tomorrow on track with nutrition as well as fitness.

@Susan, my DH is a master framemaker. He works for a very small outfit that frames fine art for museums and galleries. They're one of two places in Los Angeles doing that level of work.

@Barbara, I'm on roll with the photos so I can get it all put away until I'm off work again the week following Christmas. So I think I might concentrate only on the lights on the balcony & get the rest up during the evenings after work this week.

Getting back to the photos now!

Good morning my Leaves friends. I didn't sleep well last night for some reason, but I was up by 9 and I'm trying to finish up my Christmas cards today and my Christmas letter tomorrow.

@ Susan - I am glad you and DH were able to resolve your issues and I pray it continues. Have fun getting your tree up and the house decorated.

We used to have a live tree also, but we now have a beautiful artificial tree. I am really glad hubby had one because I am allergic to the real ones so it certainly helps me to feel better throughout the season. I used to think it was the stress that was the problem, but once I went to artificial I learned differently.

@ Ann - Good job on doing your PT. What are you doing those for? I need to get back to doing mine too because my shoulder is hurting again. I dont know why we avoid doing them when we know they help, but it seems most people are the same way.

I will post some pictures in a blog once the house is all decorated. it will be after this BSG group is over, but I will let you all know when I do it.

Good morning Leaves!
Big line of thunderstorms to the east of us and we got a little rain this morning, so I think today will be a good day to start on the tree.
DH and I resolved our issues, however he hangs onto to past things too much. I'm fairly use to it though.

Ann, Glad you got your PT in. What type of work does your DH do?
I use to get real trees, but now just have an artificial one but it's huge...7'tall and 5'wide.

Barbara, I'd love to see a photo of the outside of your house when it's all done.

@ Ann - It was good to hear from you today. It sounds like you had a fun Thanksgiving too. Good luck on getting back on track tomorrow. I was really lazy today. I did get most of my cards done, except for ones for the kids. Tomorrow I need to work on my Christmas letter. I flaked on exercise today too, but I really plan to do something tomorrow.

Hubby got all of the wooden decorations up today. Now he has 3 days of lights to put up plus the inside.

@ Susan - good luck on getting your tree up tomorrow. Aren't men frustrating - they claim things don't bother them when you can tell they do. I hope things resolve for you two soon.

I also overate yesterday and have continued today. I think I'll just restart my entire routine tomorrow. I did exercise yesterday morning with an interval-training DVD for 40 minutes then (finally!) my physical therapy exercises.

Between feeling completely bloated this morning & somewhat sore from my workout yesterday, I decided to take today as a rest day. Before & after a nap, I've worked hard for several hours on my photos and made progress but it feels like only a drop in the bucket! I'll have to just concentrate on getting everything into stable containers then doing the actual sorting.

Yesterday my DD wanted me at her place to help so I ended up doing that instead of working on the photos. Half the people there were from Italy, as many of the Italian boyfriend's buddies came over. It was lots of fun. I think she had at least a dozen people there in addition to the two of us.

DH got to go to his studio yesterday and worked on finishing two pieces before coming over for dinner, so he had a much more productive day than I did. But DH had to go to work today. I made a hot lunch for him and brought it over with one of the four pumpkin pies I made so he could share it with his co-workers. Better them than me!

@Susan, I still have not gotten started on my seasonal decorations. I always get a cut tree and I have no idea where to go this year because they have been building on the formerly vacant lot just down the block where we usually got the tree. I love the aroma of the fresh fir.

@Barbara, I love lights this time of year and enjoy everyone else's decorations. I usually try to get lights up around my balcony but I'm not sure when I'll get to it this year. I'm considering sending electronic Christmas messages this year to all but the oldest on my list, as that will save trees and clutter for everyone.

Barbara, Yes I'm assuming that's why he's in a mood. I didn't even do anything and yet he's being cold to me. I'm just sick of it, and don't even think about it anymore, but I think he does more than he wants to let on. He tells me to not let it get me down, and yet he's the one who's down now. I'm at the point now that I don't care whether they come around or not. Kind of like going through the grief process, you know?

I'm not decorating outside this year as it takes me about two days to do the outside, and 2 days to do the inside. I probably won't do the tree till tomorrow, and can't believe it's already almost 3:00!

Good morning my friends. I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying the rest of your long holiday weekend! We had a great time yesterday. I know I oveate, but since we only ate 2 meals I think (hope) it didn't sabbotage me too badly. Today my project is to finish my Christmas cards while hubby gets started on decorating the outside of the house. It takes him about 4 days to get it all done, but we both love how it looks afterward.

@ Susan - bummer about the cranberries not happening. I love cranberries with turkey. I am sorry that the situation with the kids shadowed your Thanksgiving. Is that why your DH is in a mood today? Good luck on getting to put your tree up, but I am glad you have an alternative plan if that doesn't happen. Take care of yourself and take it one minute at a time. I pray that the situation with the kids improves soon for you. I don't know if you remember about my granddaughter last year, but my daughter's heart was breaking for so many months and my granddaughter finally was ready to go visit her. She left about 10 days ago and will be back here in early January. I was so afraid things would not go well, but it sounds like things are going well and my granddaughter will be coming back here to live and get into college, etc. So, don't give up, it just will take time.

@ Andrea and Ann- i hope you are both having a wonderful holiday weekend! I miss you both.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I ended up with no cranberry sauce emoticon . I thought I had everything but somehow forgot that. First time ever to have turkey with no cranberries. I overate WAY too much!

My day started out good with my mom coming over to visit. Then somehow the conversation got turned to the situation with the kids and it went downhill from there. We did have a nice dinner but I can tell that DH is in a mood today. I WAS going to put the tree up, but I have to move his chair because that's where the tree goes, and vacuum so not sure if that will get done today or not.
I've got some scrap challenge designs I can do.

Happy Thanksgiving all. We had a wonderful day. My son, daughter-in-law and grandson came over for dinner. Hubby did most of the cooking and I did dishes after company left. We had a wonderful visit with the kids. My hubby is now over at the VA sitting with a hospice patient and I will be leaving in about an hour to take some leftovers to my granddaughter's boyfriend who has the unfortunate situation to be spending the holiday alone except for 2 hours he gets with his 2 girls.

There will be no black Friday shopping for this girl who doesn't do early mornings or crowds and definitely not both together!

@ Susan - way to go on the 3/3 exercise this week. That is awesome. I definitely didn't stay within my calorie range today either, but we did give all of the non healthy food away to both my grandson and my granddaughter's boyfriend so it will only be today!

I took today as a day of rest from exercise and will probably be going to bed early. It's amazing that even a simple holiday dinner is so tiring.

So far I'm 3/3 this week! Yesterday DH and I went for a short walk. He couldn't walk as far as he wanted to, so it was only 15 minutes, but then we went to the mall and Target to try to find him a hoodie jacket but couldn't find one that fit, so I added all that walking to my fitness. I also vacuumed a little and hauled up my 6' Christmas tree box, and four boxes of Christmas stuff. I'm thinking about putting the tree together today.

My pumpkin pie turned out great, and our dinner will consist of a turkey breast, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans and, of course, my homemade rolls. Definitely won't be staying within my calories today!

Andrea, Please do let me know what the photo program is. I've found a freebie that turns photos into different forms, like paintings, sketching, etc. It's called FotoSketcher. I haven't loaded it yet though. Here's the link:
www.fotosketcher.com/
I also found some free things that work with Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. If anyone has those, let me know and I'll post the links.
I'm glad you have a checkup. If you don't find anything before our challenge ends, please do keep us posted.

Ann, glad you had a good class yesterday! I empathize with your photo organizing, but also admire you for doing it. I think I'll do that next month.
Dinner sounds delicious!
Thanks for checking out my scrap design!
What fun you'll have with your DD and her friends! Thanks for your prayers.

Barbara, Glad you went to your Zumba class! Thank you for your prayers.

Good evening my friends. Again I was busy at work, but I have 4 days off now so woo hoo! Nothing big planned except dinner with my son and his wife and son tomorrow. I will probably take dinner to my granddaughter's boyfriend since she is gone and he will be alone from the sounds of things. I was very tempted to not go to Zumba tonight, but I did and I loved it. Now I am really torn because I like this class so much better, but I still have about 3 weeks left with the other one and my friend goes there.

@ Susan - I will be praying that your mom is able to set up the meeting with your kids! I pray peace for you this holiday too. Sending big hugs to you!

@ Andrea - I am so glad that you are listening to your body and taking care of yourself. I pray that you are back 100% very soon and they can find out what caused your loss. I would definitely not want you to have to go through that again!

@ Ann - it doesn't sound like you overdid on the exercise. I am a little sore, but I was still able to do the class so I feel all is well. I think I will take off tomorrow though unless we just go for a walk or something like that.

Well, all, it is late again tonight and we haven't eaten dinner yet so I will get off for now. I wish you all the happiest of Thanksgiving! Enjoy the time with friends and/or family!

I had a great pilates class yesterday, but once again did not do my PT exercises, tsk tsk! I keep putting it off, and now have told myself I'll do it tomorrow morning. Oh brother, I'm good at procrastinating!

Not getting around to my PT exercises was mostly because I got going on my photo project and made great headway, but everything is in a million little piles for sorting. I'll start in on it again as soon as I finish Sparking. I've already done my errands and ran my Wednesday 6 miles, showered & made a delicious breakfast for myself. I'm now working on my second cup of coffee.

I woke up around 10:30 last night and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went in the second bedroom to do crossword puzzles, which usually puts me out. I fell asleep in there & didn't get up until after 6! That's very late for me.

I decided to get my errands out of the way before I did my run, so I went & picked up the little turkey I ordered for just my & DH so we'll have leftovers for soup, mostly. Then I went to get the additional things that yesterday DD requested I bring tomorrow. I'm all done shopping for Thanksgiving now, God willing!

It turned out the supplier couldn't get Dungeness this week, so that will have to wait. For dinner tonight, I got a piece of smoked whitefish instead, which DH will like as well. I think I'll do a pasta dish with some more of the pasta DD brought back from Italy.

@Andrea, I'm glad you're listening to your body & slow down when you need to. I've already listed the many injuries I've had over the decades, but the main thing I'm trying to do now is to keep my hips strong so my knees & ankles don't have to compensate. The last time I had knee problems (2010), they found the same thing that an earlier PT had found, that my hips were unusually weak for a runner. Our bodies are strange in that if something hurts, it doesn't necessarily mean that's the thing needing attention. That's why it's important to see a physical therapist to get an informed diagnosis. A regular MD (even an orthopedist) would never have found the underlying problem.

@Susan, it's pie day for me as well. I do traditional pumpkin pie. Long ago I gave up making the crust from scratch & cooking fresh pumpkin for the pulp, so now I just pull the crusts out of the freezer & get my can opener cranking. I love your tree! I especially love the colors (turquoise & lavender) and the little owl is such a great touch! Thanks for sharing! I think I'll wait until Friday to get the Advent & Christmas stuff down from the closet. I want to make as much progress on the photos as possible before I get all of that started! I especially enjoy the lights I put up on our balcony.

@Barbara, I was so sore last night after 2 pilates classes in 24 hours! But today I felt great on my run, so I don't think I really overdid it. I usually take Thursday as a rest day, but we'll see what happens this week. I'm also trying to reach a personal goal for number of fitness minutes this month to meet what I've done the past two or three months (2,000) but I think I'm a little too far behind at this point. I'll really have to pump it up to get over 500 more before December comes!

I'm so excited to spend time with DD (& all her crazy friends) at her place tomorrow! It will be fun. I'm so thankful that we've survived some truly horrible times to reconstruct our relationship as adult equals. Susan, I pray that you can say the same in the future.

I'm also thankful for a wise and deeply caring husband. I'd have no shred of sanity without him.

Hi Ladies- Doing all right today. Having a little cramping and not feeling so hot. Just going to try and take it easy. I have some baking to do for tomorrow and that is always relaxing for me.

Susan- My BF found a really good photo program. He downloaded it onto my computer when I was having some issues. I will ask him what it is and let you know! I do have a checkup scheduled and they are going to do some more tests then to figure out what actually went wrong.

Ann- What do you do your PT exercises for? I have some for my knees that I really should use! I am glad your soup was good! Sounded delicious!

Barb- Zumba must have really worked if you are feeling it today. Thank you for the sweet Sparkgoodie, by the way :D

Well, off to lunch. I will check in when I can!

The points were close for Week Three, with averages ranging from 1919 to 2122. While we’re all winners, there can only be one winning team, and for Week Three that honor goes to the AUTUMN SPLENDOR BSG TEAM with an average point total of 2122!

Just finished a challenge to design an alternative Christmas Tree. I chose to use bows. You can check it out here if you'd like to.

Today I'll be making my Pumpkin Pie and hauling Christmas stuff up from the cellar. I need to look at last year's photo to see where I ended up putting the recliner as that's where DH sits to use the laptop and watch TV.

Barbara, We don't have a meeting with the kids yet. My mom is just going to see if she can get them to agree to one. I'm not worrying about anymore, though. It's destroyed me enough and I will not let it get the best of me.

Had a busy but great day. Hubby and I went to the gym at noon and I did strength and then after work I did HIIT on the elliptical for 45 minutes and then 15 minutes of stretching. I wasn't too sore today, but I could definitely feel my Zumba workout from last night.I hope I can survive it again tomorrow. I will be taking Thursday as a day of rest unless it is nice enough to walk outside.

@ Andrea - I am glad you are doing a little better and that you were able to get out for a run. I am sure that will help you.

@ Susan - way to go on getting in some exercise. I pray your meeting with your kids and mom goes well. I continue my prayers for you!

@ Ann - I am glad you enjoyed the pilates class!

Well, I got home late so I guess I will get off for now. The bed will be calling my name early tonight for sure!

Ann, I think pilates can be considered cardio and/strength. Same with some yoga programs. Glad you got your blinds in.
I doubt I'll do much computer cleaning today, but do need to do at least some each day. It takes longer, sometimes, to uninstall a program than it does to install it.

Yes, I do have exercises planned, actually did them. I started out with a Chris Freytag Lower Body ST workout, but only did 20 minutes so I switched to a yoga program by her, and was sweating by the end. My strength is still low so I'm going to stick with yoga for a while. And the yoga I do is definitely cardio as well as strength what with holding the poses and doing planks. Yesterday I did ChaLEAN Extreme Dynamic Yoga without the weighted gloves and had to actually pause it half way through my legs were shaking so much.

I finally got on my stationary bike at noon, as the minestrone took longer to put together than I thought it would. They guys came to do the blinds and finished within a half hour, so that was good. It's so nice to have clean blinds that actually work! But I had to move a bunch of stuff away from the windows so they'd have easy access and have only gotten about half of it back.

My mat pilates class was good, but the traffic there & back was horrible so I'm not sure the 6PM class will be a regular thing for me. The teacher was good and I always learn things from different instructors. This morning's class I'll have my regular instructor but at a different place.

I don't really think of pilates as either cardio or strength, so it's hard to know how to supplement it. I do need to do more physical therapy exercises today since I didn't do them yesterday as I'd originally planned.

The soup turned out fantastic. I used some of the pasta that my DD brought back from Italy & it was tasty! I cut up some Tofurkey Italian "Sausage" & served it over that & some steamed chard instead of adding it to the soup. It was a recipe from Cooking Light ( www.myrecipes.com/recipe/winter-mine
st
rone-10000001696593/
). I also doubled it so we'd have leftovers. I think we'll have the same thing tonight, except kale instead of the chard.

@Andrea, I'm glad you're feeling better & you got a run in. Unless I'm deathly ill, it always makes me feel better. As for my pilates classes, I know I won't be able to afford the regular prices after my 30-day special runs out, but it will be a nice change for these holiday weeks & I hope keep me going. I'll continue doing my once-a-week classes at work, though.

@Susan, it's 43 here and I'm so glad we had our heat turned on yesterday evening! I turn the pilot completely off for the summer so we use less gas. Have fun with your computer stuff today! Do you have any exercise planned?

Only two days until Thanksgiving now! Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday. Let's keep moving, Autumn Leaves!

Good morning Leaves!
I'm actually listening to Christmas music! AND sitting on my heating pad. It's 45 outside, but geez I'm freezing. Three months ago complaining that it was too hot in the house, and now it's too cold.
Haven't done my workout yet. Been busy exploring free photo programs and such, but I really need to do some major computer clean-up and uninstall a bunch of programs I don't need.

Ann, How did your first pilates class go? That's great that DH encouraged you to give it a try.
Did they get your blinds up?

Andrea, getting outside does help clear the mind and I'm glad it helped you. Will you need to go back for a checkup? Do they have any idea why this happened? If it's any consolation, what happened to you also happened to a friend of mine. She had no idea she was pregnant. And now she has three beautiful sons. She did find out, though, that there was something in her blood and her husband's blood that didn't mix so before she decided to get pregnant again she had to take something. I don't remember everything, it was 10 years ago, but something to think about.

Thanks for getting your totals in! I'll contact ZACEVETOB about getting hers in.

Good morning. I am doing a little bit better today. My doctor told me to use my own judgment about exercise, so I headed out for a run/walk this morning. It really did help. I didn't think about the run itself, I just ran and before I knew it, I had gone 3.2 miles and felt amazing. It was a good release for me.

Barb- I like your idea of adding a little bit more exercise during Thanksgiving. I am planning on getting in a longer run/walk before I head to my cousin's house. I think it will just put me in a better mood and make it a little bit more enjoyable.

Susan- I am sorry you are through such a hard time. Hopefully you are finding something that gives you a little happiness!

Ann- Your Yoga/Pilates class sounds exciting! I wish there was something affordable like that around here! Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you all for your love and support. It really does mean quite a bit to me. I cannot thank you enough. Well, back to work. xoxo -Andrea

@Andrea, No apologies necessary! I'm so sorry for your loss! What a roller coaster you've been on. You'd think that this would have been the first thing on their list to check out; sounds like somebody dropped the ball there. Take the time & care you need to process everything & give your body time to recover. Sending warm fuzzies your way!

@Barbara, I talked to my DH and he encouraged me to do the introductory special at the yoga/pilates studio to help me stay on track for the holidays. For $65 I can do as many classes as I want. There's the possibility for me to do 16 pilates classes over the 30-day period covered, so that's under $5 a class, which is a real bargain around here. I'm going to try my first this evening at 6. I already had a bear claw this morning with my coffee, so I'll need to be "good" the rest of the day.

@Susan, we all go through peaks & valleys in our lives. We're here for you. I'm glad you're mom is willing to help. I think your approach to easing back into regular exercise is good. It's so easy to burn out if we try to do too much at once. I priced the scanning services and they all seem to charge about the same, around 39 cents a photo. That's way too much as I have thousands. My DS thinks the boxes he has from my mom hold about 1,000 photos by themselves. Yes, it's very time consuming, but if I do a little at a time that could work. It might take me five years, though! lol!

Have a great Monday! I just found out they won't come over until after lunch to do the blinds, so I think I'll get on the exercise bike & do my physical therapy exercises this morning, then I'll have the pilates class at 6. There's a class at 9:15 tomorrow morning I plan to go to also.

I think I will skip the Wednesday 6 PM class because the traffic on Wednesday here in LA is the absolute worst of the year, and it gets progressively worse after noon. One year it took us 2 hours to drive the 7 miles home from work, and we left at 2 or 3.

Before I exercise, I'm going to get the minestrone in the crock pot, so talk to you later!

Barb and Ann, Thanks for your concern. I did end up posting the poem in a blog. I also talked to my mom yesterday, and she's going to work on the kids to see if they'd be willing for all of us to get together to work this out. She'd be the mediator to help keep things under control. She doesn't talk to my son, but does with my daughter and did tell her that her mom misses her. So maybe there's still hope.
However, I did decided it's time for me to get over my "pity-party" and get on with my life. I'm going to start working out everyday. I'm not going to do a particular program, just do something every day. And start out slow like maybe with yoga to get my flexibility and strength back. Since it takes about 3 weeks to make it a habit, if I can do something everyday for that long then hopefully I'll be ready to start a full program.
Not only does it help relieve the soreness I get from NOT working out, when I was working out on a regular basis I not only felt younger, I looked younger.
So no more emoticon faces or posts from me. Only positive!

Ann, I'm always amazed at how far you can run!
That's great you got a new stove, and now new blinds!
I have a box of photos with probably close to 500. That's something I need to do is organize them. I have them fairly organized, but really need to do more. I've been wanting to scan all of them but my how much time that would take. I know places will scan them for you but not sure how much they would charge. I wouldn't get rid of the prints though.

Andrea, My heart emoticon for your loss. I can't even imagine what you're going through, much less how they didn't catch this sooner. Take time to heal from this, and just know that we're here for you.

Good morning my friends. I ended up going for a short 15 minute walk yesterday afternoon with my hubby and it felt good to get outside even for a short time. Hubby was baking ahead for Thanksgiving so I wasn't so good nutrition-wise, but I nipped that in the bud and plan to exercise a little more to make up for that. I told him he had to get it out of my sight until Thursday so I could exercise self control. There is no Zumba class this week so I am going to try the one they offer at the gym or, if that doesn't workout then it will be HIIT on the elliptical.

@ Andrea - I was really worried about you over the weekend. i missed you! I am truly sorry about your miscarriage. I am sure that is a difficult thing to get over and I will be praying for you. Be sure to take extra care of yourself during the next few days and weeks! My son died when he was not quite 16 and both my daughters-in-law have miscarried and it is still a loss so just know that you will be sad and take care of yourself. Be sure to holler if you need someone to talk to! emoticon

@ Ann - Way to go on getting in your 10 mile run before the rain hit. You are doing really well by the sounds of things! Keep it up.

Well, I will check in again later today! Have an amazing day!

Hey Leaves-

I am sorry for being MIA Friday and this weekend. I had a horrible weekend. I had to go to urgent care because I was bleeding quite a bit. Turns out I was having a miscarriage. So, it was never a tumor, never my thyroid, I was having a miscarriage the entire time. They had to do a D & C to remove the remainder.

Right now, my heart is sad. I am going to try and stay strong and stay on the right path, but at the moment, I am just sad. I hope each of you had a great weekend and you are in my thoughts.

xoxo -Andrea

Hello Autumn Leaves!

I ran 10 miles this morning. The last couple of miles it was drizzling very lightly. By the time I was done with my shower it was raining hard, so I was glad that even though I got a later start than I'd hoped to, at least I got back before the heavy rain began.

We went to Mass the came home and ate a hot lunch. We're not used to this rain and wind any more and were freezing! We decided to just stay home and work on the house. I got almost everything straightened out in the bedrooms. I'll do the living room & dining room tomorrow. I moved the bins of photos out of the closet and into the second bedroom.

Tomorrow they're supposed to come to replace all the blinds in our apartment. I'm so excited! We've lived here for 5 years and the blinds are pretty cheap & impossible to get clean now--the grime from the air pollution is permanently embedded. We got a new stove the other week and I'm loving it. I didn't realize how terrible our other one was, as this one is not at all fancy.

So after they replace the blinds I'll set up a work table in the second bedroom to do my photo organizing & stabilizing project. I got a bunch of acid-free plastic sleeves of all different sizes to put them in.

My son thinks we should just scan most of the photos and get rid of the prints. I'm not so sure about getting rid of the prints, but I agree about the scanning. I'm starting to research good photo scanners. It looks like I can get a lot of scanner for well under $200. Of course he has 4 boxes of photos from my mom in his house & would love to get rid of them. He hates clutter of any kind. I'm sure he didn't get that from me because I hardly notice it normally.

@Barbara, we all have days that we just have to take it easy and recharge. We had a million things planned this weekend but decided to bag them because we were so stressed about the coming weeks' activities. I'm glad we've just puttered around the house today. I look forward to your blog. I love reading about what works for others to stay on track during difficult times.

@Susan, I'm glad you've continued to try to contact Deborah. I just hope she's busy & OK. Don't worry about the challenge. The main point of this is the camaraderie and support we share, right? For me, this time of year is so psychologically loaded and difficult. It takes me a lot of preparation to keep myself on an even keel. It has taken me years to be able to anticipate the ways the holidays affect my emotions. I'm sorry you're having the additional stress of your situation with your children. I can't imagine how painful it must be. Take good care of yourself!

Well, I've been so hungry, but staying within a reasonable calorie range if not the lower one I'd originally targeted. I think I'd better go and fix dinner so I don't get over-hungry and really do some damage.

Hope everyone is ready for a good final week of the month! Let's keep each other going strong!

Good afternoon my friends. It's been a really lazy day for me. I just feel in a funk and really don't feel like doing anything at all. I hope to get my blog written today, but we shall see if the words come.

@ Susan - I am sorry you are going through such a difficult time. I have been there in past years so all I can do is offer my sympathies! Don't worry about not doing the challenges, just try to take care of yourself the best you can through this time of struggling!

Well, I don't feel much like chatting and since no one else has posted anything I guess I will go for now and try to check in again later.

Blessings to you all this Sunday,

I did get a lot of scrapping done and put them into a blog:

I think we've lost Debbie (WINTERRAIN). She doesn't have a template for week 3, and I've left messages and goodies on her page but no reply.

I haven't done very well with our challenge this week...only worked out twice. I seem to be up one day and down the next. I woke up this morning thinking about the kids and a poem started coming to my mind, so I went to the computer and wrote it. It didn't really make me feel any better but maybe I'll send it to them.

Ann, boy did you have a busy day yesterday!

Barbara, Busy day for you as well.

That's about all for now. Just don't really feel like talking about much. Hope you all have a good day.

Well, it has been a lazy day around here. We got a good 9 hours of sleep last night, but I sure would have liked to take a nap this afternoon. However, I didn't. I went shopping instead. I got my daughter-in-law's birthday gift and Christmas gift out of the way. I was good this morning and while my hubby went to volunteer at the VA I did a 30 minute walking tape and 15 minute strength one. Other than that I've worked on laundry. I can't believe it is 5:30 already. It sure seems like the day goes fast. When I get done here I better get busy on my Christmas cards.

@ Ann - I used to love to swim, but lately I just can't seem to get into it. I'm not sure why, but I know that this weather doesn't give me any incentive. It sounds like you had a busy day. Your night before Thanksgiving dinner sounds pretty tasty. I really want to get into meditation. I wish they had something like that around here, but they don't, at least not that I've heard of. I would also like to get back into yoga, but I can't afford it or find the time to go either. I am thinking of buying a DVD and try to do it on the weekend or in the evening, but I'm not so good at doing those on my own.

Well, I best say good bye for now so that I can work on my cards! Have an awesome evening and Sunday all my friends!

I got up after almost 7 hours' sleep and swam my mile this morning. I'm still amazed at how much I enjoy my Saturday morning swims. My sleep got interrupted by a bad dream, though, so the last couple of hours weren't really a good sleep.

After shower & breakfast I did 5 loads of laundry then more grocery shopping at two stores plus two other errands. I know I'll go again at least Wednesday morning to get fresh food for that evening. Our evening-before-Thanksgiving meal has become almost more enjoyable than Thanksgiving. We have Dungeness crab, a light salad, sourdough bread, & butter. So simple but oh so good!

Today at lunch I couldn't resist two chocolate-covered ginger cookies, so I will go over my calorie range but my week's average still came out terrific, so I'm not concerned. I'm trying to build some treats into my nutrition plans for this week anyway.

I need to shift gears a little and focus on priorities of getting the house de-cluttered enough to put up the Christmas decorations. I hate housework, but I love my Christmas decorations--I have some from my childhood and others from when my own children were young that I especially enjoy. So that will motivate me to get it done. If I can't finish my other project to stabilize my photos (which are now stored in Rubbermaid bins!) I can always finish it the week I have off between Christmas & New Year's.

I'm also thinking about doing an introductory deal at a yoga & pilates studio where I can take as many classes as I'd like for one month for only $65. I could never afford their regular fees, though, so I'm wondering what I'll do if I ~really~ like it.

There's always too much good stuff going on. I wish we had time to do it all. We're both exhausted, though, and feel overwhelmed just by the day-to-day upkeep of life. We both work hard at our jobs and I think that adds to that feeling.

@Barbara, I know what you mean about work. I debated about taking this week off because my boss will also be out of town, so I usually like to take off when he's around. He was out of town this last week, though, and it was so nice. What usually happens is that the other division-head usually will give me assignments while he's out, but I'm so thankful that did not happen this week!

My husband & I do a form of Zen sitting meditation. Though the group we go to is related to a Roman Catholic church and calls itself "contemplative prayer," the leader structures it almost exactly like zazen, so it's very familiar. We sit every morning on our own, but going to a group practice gives us a different kind of rich experience. We're members of the parish that sponsors it.

@Susan, did you get your scrapping done you wanted? Were you working on another contest? I think it's amazing what you can do with the digital scrap-booking. You're so talented!

Well, I put lentil soup in the crock pot this morning while I was doing laundry & it smells so god now! There's nothing I'd like better than a big chunk of rye bread with it but after the cookies at lunch I'm going to have to have it with just the swiss chard I have planned. The chard is so beautiful, I know it will be delicious.

I need to fold the last of the linens, so will go now. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

It’s been a busy Friday for me. Why is it that my boss only kicks into high gear on Friday afternoon? It is so annoying that I sit without much to do all week and then Friday afternoon he comes up with all this work that has to get out today. Anyway, after work I went to the gym. I had fully intended to do cardio and strength, but I only got in cardio.

@ Ann – Way to go on getting in your run before starting your errands! What type of meditation do you and your hubby do? Thanks for the name of the stretching DVD. I will have to see if I can find it or another one so I can do stretching at home.

@ Susan – Wow getting up at 3 a.m.? Whatever for? I can barely drag out at 6:30. Did you get your challenges completed?

Susan and Andrea have asked about HIIT. I googled “high intensity interval training” and it seemed to say it was running for a while then walking for a while so what I have been doing is doing a 5 minute warm up then run for 2 minutes, walk for 1 minute and repeat those 8 times which comes to 29 minutes, I then do some variation for another 11 minutes or whatever time I choose and then do a 5 minute cool down. This comes to 45 minutes. Today I set the elliptical at interval which gave me 2 minutes at level 1, then 2 minutes at level 4 so I would run 2 minutes at level 4, then walk 1 minute at level 1. Hope that helps some. I find it a good way to challenge myself and work just a little harder than I normally would.

I hope that all of my Autumn Leaves friends have an awesome weekend! We decided to stay home because the snow level is getting lower and it’s been really nasty outside. So I plan to work on my Christmas cards again.

I got up and ran first thing this morning, though I really didn't feel like it. I wanted to get on to my endless errands. After breakfast I did some shopping then came home for lunch at 2.

The dog wanted to walk early so I walked her and came back to roast some brussels sprouts & then put some butternut squash in the oven to bake. We'll have that with some tilapia & brown rice. Well, I won't have the brown rice, but my DH will.

Yesterday turned out to be a rest day, but we had our meditation group so ate early & headed out. Even getting home at 10, I still managed to get 7 hours' sleep last night! Hooray!

I'll leave the squash in the oven on a very low temp while we go out to meet friends before we come back for dinner. I only drink about once a month, and probably will on Thanksgiving and having already had drinks with our friends from Juneau, I'll just have water with lime tonight.

Tomorrow I still have grocery shopping to do after my morning swim. We're also going to an exhibit at a museum for a couple of hours in the afternoon, so it will be another busy day. And I cannot see an end in sight.

@Andrea, I'm so happy for you that it turned out better than it could have. Thyroid problems can be serious, but I'm glad it's getting back under control. Fibroids are no fun but not usually life-threatening, so that's a relief, too. I hope your life can get back to a more normal rhythm soon.

@Barbara, my stretching DVD is 10 years old! It's "Total Stretch for beginners with Tamilee." I've tried several and this is the one I feel really meets me at my level. I do not have much flexibility or elasticity so I need to constantly work on it.

@Susan, if I carried a knife I'm so accident prone, I'm sure I'd hurt myself long before I'd encounter a danger that called for it LOL! I feel safe in the neighborhood where I run and I always finish before 6:30 PM. The streets aren't very busy, but lots of people arriving home from work, so they aren't totally vacant. Hope you've a good scrapping day!

@Zac, hope you're feeling better.

@Deborah, I hope we hear from you soon. We miss you!

TGIF and Happy Weekend Autumn Leaves!

I've had a lazy day. Woke up at 3AM, ran some errands, then scrambled to get some scrap designs done before the challenge ended. Time to get me something to eat now.

Barb, You are so devoted you don't even let an upset tummy stop you!
I'm curious about HIT as well.

ZAC, I do hope you start feeling better soon. If it doesn't go away soon maybe you should call your doctor?

Ann, Stay safe running at night. I use to run early in the mornings, like 4:30AM. DH use to worry about me, so he convinced me to carry a pocket knife :)

Andrea, I'm so glad the news is good! That is absolutely awesome, and it shows that it pays to get another opinion.

Hope everyone else is having a good day. I'll post the links to all my scrap pages when I get them done. I think when I get creative, it must be on the opposite side of my brain that my "i want to exercise" is emoticon

@ Andrea - That is awesome news! So happy that you sought that second opinion!

I do have a thyroid condition known as Hashimotis thyroiditis. It started when I was about 30 years old. I had trouble swallowing and it was because of a goiter which I no longer have, or at least it has shrunken to the point it isn't a problem. Anyway, at that time I was told that my thyroid was dead and I would be on thyroid medication for the rest of my life.Recently I was having issues keeping the levels on an even keel, but we believe it was caused from generic medications which I have heard don't work that well for the thyroid. Now I have name brand, no generic allowed, and things seem to have leveled out again.

I will continue to pray that surgery is not necessary and that your problems resolve themselves, but at least if surgery is required it will be much less invasive for you.

Good morning, Lovely Leaves!

I sincerely apologize for not checking in yesterday. I was extremely swamped at work and then even more so when I got home. Good thing I got in my 5am run!

So, great news from the Doctor. The whole thing that was happening was actually because my thyroid was dangerously high. I still have fibroids (not a tumor like they originally thought) but they can control that with hormones and if need be, they can remove it vaginally. I was so relieved because I can't actually afford any surgery even though I do have insurance. Now, I am just one a lower dose of synthetic thyroid and I am starting to get back to feeling normal again! I do have to go back in a couple weeks for another pap smear just to make sure they didn't over look anything.

Barb- Sounds like you had an awesome workout!! Where do you find your HIIT workouts? They seem like something I would enjoy! I read that your thyroid is stable. Do you also have bad thyroid problems? I never thought it was that important until recently when it sent my body completely out of whack!

Ann- I am very happy to hear that you mom is doing at least a little bit better. Also, I am so happy that you got more than 6 hours of sleep! Your body was probably craving it!

Susan- I am sorry to hear about your DH. My grandpa, who is 90, is the exact same way now that he can't do anything in his shop and has to spend the rest of his life in assisted living. BUT YOU GOT AN AWESOME WORKOUT IN! How did that feel? I am proud of you! :D

Zacebetob- The flu is horrible and it totally sucks that you are feeling so spent. Sending you good wishes!!

Well, have to get back to work! Hopefully, I can check in later! Lots of hugs and love!

xoxo -Andrea

Good morning my friends. Hubby and I were both tired last night so we went to bed a little earlier. Of course, I had trouble getting to sleep which I always hate, especially when I am tired!

We decided not to go out of town this weekend since we have some activities coming up the first part of December so we will probably just go shopping for the day. I need some new shoes for work since the onces I have are hurting my feet.

I think I am going to take today as a rest day. I've been dooing quite a bit the last 5 days so I think my body deserves a rest.

@ Ann - so glad that your hat with lights worked for you last night. I saw somebody walking last night and it looked like they may have the same type. Way to go on getting in your stretching too! What is the name of your stretching DVD?

It's awesome that you are so close to your goal weight, Ann. Keep up the good work.

@Zac - I hope your flu bug is gone totally today!

@Andrea - I hope you are getting homework caught up so you can have an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend.

@ Ann - I am the same way about exercise, doing it no matter what, but I was feeling like I might throw up yesterday and that does not combine very well with Zumba. I feel okay so far today so I think it was from the headache I had that lasted all day yesterday.

@Susan - I hope you feel up to exercising today and that things on the homefront are going well. My husband is retired, but he volunteers a lot which helps keep his time occupied. Otherwise he would probably be like your hubby.

@Deborah - we haven't heard from you for a while and I pray that all is okay with you.

Well, it is time for me to get moving so I will try to chat at you again later. Have an amazing day!

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday! I did my blog for this week and that took my time, I guess.

RIght after work I went for a run, with my special hat with lights. That made a big difference and I was able to see on the darker streets. When I got home I did my stretching DVD.

By the time I was done with dinner I felt utterly spent and all I wanted to do was go to bed--so I did! For the first time in over a week I got more than 6 hours' sleep. Hooray!

I've also been staying in my calorie range, so have gotten back to within a couple of pounds of my maintenance weight.

@Zac, sorry your flu is taking so long to leave. I hope you feel a bit better each day.

@Andrea, I hope you made good headway on your homework.

@Barbara, sometimes it's hard to know what your body needs. I'm glad your zumba last night turned out to be a good thing! Most of the time exercise helps me, so even if I feel a little off I'll go ahead & do it.

@Susan, congratulations on getting your project off to the printers! I'm sure going into the week before Thanksgiving that's a big relief. Getting a second job would be quite a change for you. It sounds like you & your DH have been thinking more about your priorities. That's such a complicated process.

@Deborah, we miss you & hope everything is OK.

Well, my day has begun and I need to get back to my normal routine. I might not have a chance to get back on today, as it's another busy one.

Good evening my friends. I forced myself to go to zumba (because I like it so much) and I think I got a good workout and I feel better now except for being tired.

@ ZACEVETOB - so happy to see that you made it to the chat room, but I am sorry you are still suffering from the flu. I should think after 5 days it should be coming to an end, and I am sure you are ready for it.

Well, I plan to make my online time short tonight so I will say good night to my friends and wish you all a good evening!

Hi guys, sick with the flu, been only doing a limited on this on sparkpeople. Even doing sparkpeople seems to tire me out at the moment, darn flu, why does it need to take so much of my energy. Its been 5 days i had it.

Hope everyone is having a great day though.

Barbie thanks for the messages you have been helping me through this on my blogs that i tried to get people updated on my progress when i couldnt really come on any sparkgroups.

Good afternoon my friends. I had good news at the doctor this morning - my thyroid is stable and I don't have to go again for 4 months. Woo hoo. I have a horrific headache today and I am feeling queasy to my tummy so I am not sure I can convince myself to go to Zumba tonight. Time will tell. I still have about 2 hours to decide. I did go for a nice 15 minute walk on my morning break though.

@ Susan - What a great feeling you must have getting your project done and sent to be printed!. emoticon emoticon on getting your exercise out of the way! Good luck on the job!

@ Andrea - anxiously awaiting your results from your tests and hoping that you are making headway with all that homework!

@ Ann - Hope your mom is continuing to improve. I am glad she has someone to take her to the doctor. That must be a relief for you.

@ Deborah and Zac - we miss you both and hope you are doing well.

Have an amazing rest of your day!

Good Morning Leaves!
I finished my project and sent it off to be printed. I'll have to take the original pages up and then pick up anything more that needs to be done.
I broke down and applied for a full-time job as a registration clerk in a medical office. Probably won't get it, but at least they have my application in case anything else comes up. It's within the Norman Hospital. I'm sure I could do the job either way, and I think it would help things on the home front which have been a bit depressing lately. DH is having a difficult time right now, mainly because he doesn't really have anything to do.
We built a wonderful, but simple, home in the country with a huge shop, but sold it in 2001 and moved to town to make it easier on the kids. How I wish I could go back to that time and not have signed those papers to sell it. We don't have a garage where we are not, and just a small building in the back. But DH likes to work on old cars and bikes, and now he doesn't have a place so he's been very down about it (off and on for years), and when he gets this way it brings me down too.
So I thought if I could find a job that got me out of the house, it would help me and him as well, not to mention the income.

Barbara, good for you for getting your workout done even after such a busy day!

Andrea, Praying that the news from the doctor is good.
Good luck on getting your homework done!

Ann, I'm glad your mome is doing better.

Time to do TJ Sculpt as I was going to do it yesterday but ran out of time.

Hello beautiful Autumn Leaves!
I had an uneventful day at work.
I did pilates, stationary bike, and strength (including physical therapy) today.
I need to make dinner now but wanted to pop in before the evening got away from me.

My mom is doing better today, which is good. It usually takes at least 24 hours for the antibiotics to kick in. She's not in as much pain and had more energy. I worry because she's still having chills, though. I was happy to hear that my sister-in-law could take her to her doctor appointment tomorrow. I hate to think of her driving when she's not feeling well. Thank you for your thoughts & prayers.

@Susan, way to go getting your workout in!

@Barbara, glad you had a good zumba and your workout today, too! How nice you could spend some more time with your granddaughter before she left. I hope you sleep well tonight!

@Andrea, I hope your homework acts as a distraction for you so you don't worry too much. I think not knowing what's going on & waiting for test results is about the hardest part.

Have a great evening, all! Sounds like week 3 is off to a great start!

Howdy Leaves. I had an amazing day. Thankfully the airport is small so once we got my granddaughter checked in we had time for her to eat lunch before she left. Her boyfriend went with us which really wasn't a problem since they both slept on the way there and he slept on the way home. After we got back home I wouldn't let myself cave and not exercise so I went to the gym and did 45 HIIT on the ellipticl and then 30 minutes total body strength. I felt awesome afterwards. By the time I got home from the gym my granddaughter had just deboarded so I knew she had arrived safely.

@ Andrea - I will continue praying for you. Good luck on getting your homework all done! I hope you are able to get most of it done so you can relax and enjoy next weekend!

Well, I can definitely tell I will be getting to bed early tonight. have an amazing evening my friends!

Hey Leaves!

I wasn't at work today because I spent most of my day at the doctor's office getting more tests and more needle pricks. I won't have any news until tomorrow, so I can't fill you in just yet. I will let you know once I know!

Other than that, plenty of homework to finish tonight! Not really looking forward to it, but I still need to bunker down and get it finished!

Susan- I just got a trim. Nothing too drastic. I am a long-hair person ;) I am glad you got Turbo Jam in! I was ready to give you a few more emoticon if you didn't!

Barb- I am so glad you had fun at Zumba last night! Even though your friend missed it, you still got to dance your butt off! Hope you have an enjoyable night with your granddaughter!

Ann- I am so very sorry for your mom. I will be praying for you and her! Let us know if you need anything.

Well, sorry this is so short, homework awaits! I will check in tomorrow!

I wanted to get on and say Happy Tuesday to my friends before we head out for the airport with my granddaughter.

Zumba last night was amazing. My friend and co-worker had a migraine yesterday so she didnt make it and it seems like when I am there alone I work harder for some reason.

I am planning for a successful day. I am hopeful we will get back in time to go to the gym and get in a workout. My blood test was just routine for my thyroid. I hope that it is stable again, but I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so hopefully he will have the results.

@ Susan - I hope you get your project done early and have a great workout. I did re-calculate my exercise minutes last night and I do believe I am pretty much on track to achieve my goal this month which i upped from the last few months, but I will have to be diligent and workout on the schedule in order to do it. I hope that you are getting your motivation back. I am sure the exercise would help you through this difficult time. Sending you big hugs!

@ Ann - Woo hoo for a good day at work and being applauded. That always boosts one's morale. So sorry to hear about your Mom, and I wish you could be closer to her, as i know that feeling of wanting to be there and not being able to be there. I hope you were able to get in your exercise and a good night's sleep last night.

@Andrea - I am anxiously awaiting your news from your latest doctor's appointment and praying for you!

@ Deborah - I hope all is going well with you and you are missing being here just because of busyness.

@ Zac, - I hope we get to know you better in the next couple of weeks.I hope you are 100% better and having an amazing journey!
