Took 2 bags of stuff to the senior center today to donate for the rummage sale. I went a little berserk buying in Billings (don't you love that alliteration?) on Tues/Wed. I can always rationalize it just can't find a place to put it.

Seriously, I had to clean my car out a ton of purchases-mostly books and a few clothes-from thrift stores before I left town for my doctor's appt. I got 3 new blouses at TJ Maxx plus more socks for Christmas gifts next year. I think I'm such a great shopper because I get this stuff at great clearance prices. I read this thing that said you should look at it and think "would I buy it if it wasn't on sale". So I did get a lot less than I wanted, but still more than I needed.

Also loaded up on a bunch of really cheap clearance stuff - seriously, 9 cents each, for these cute sparkly decorations we can use in the center of the dining tables next year at the senior center. But at least with these, I took them right down there and stored them in the Easter boxes which had not been put in the storage room yet and I put up a couple of the 'Spring' decorations which can just stay up until we get ready to do the red/white/blue stuff that usually fills the place from Memorial Day until Labor Day. A few adjustments for 4th of July and then after Labor Day just goes into fall and then Halloween.

See how I digress?? The reason I don't get stuff done. I will log in later and tell a whole story about how I lucked out today with getting paid for stuff I should have turned in 2 months ago. God does take care of me!!

MONTANAWALKER and SPARKHUGS, it seems like you are on the right track and finding ways to do something every day, or close to it. I am still struggling with doing some decluttering consistently.

That said, I did go through a stack of papers the other day (2 days ago, maybe).

I have so many stacks, bags, and boxes of papers to go through, but I gotta start somewhere.

Dumped a wooden stool. Never used it for it's intended purpose and last year held a flowering plant outside. Put it in the dumpster and then retrieved it same day but today took it back and it will stay there. Also got rid of several plastic planting containers that were damaged in last summer's hail storm. Wonder why I overwintered them? But am going to keep this old falling apart hand made rocking chair and put a huge tub of daisies in it. Still haven't decided about the 40 year old red ryder wagon but I have a feeling it will make another season in the garden.

Hauled 3 5 gallon buckets of weeds and dog poop to the garbage. Was a really productive day outside. Wish it were so easy when I'm working inside!

Crochet -- actually the yarn, thought maybe I'd learn past the doing a single line for the whole ball of yarn; this is not to be, just not within my frame of mind to comprehend ...

so gifting it all to my sister, who loves completely to crochet!

Bathroom Items. All those tubes and cans of stuff I bought or was given that didn't work out as planned. I had a whole grocery bag full. I know that the local women's shelter doesn't take anything that has been opened so I just chucked it all!

There was a post in 365 about a game of decluttering. While it sounds like fun, it was too specific for me. I think it would be fun to just play...and post items you declutter when you declutter them. Hope some of you will join me??
