I have not gotten my will done. Thanks for the reminder.

The weather & many illnesses have pretty much kept me at home this month. I have gotten out a few times when my daughter or granddaughter have picked up. I also went to the grocery store one time & to the Y one time.

Those are my excuses but I really need to jump over them & get it done!

Karen, did you get your will done? There is a group of lawyers and law students coming to the senior center here to help people with living wills, power of attorneys and that kind of stuff and they have the simple will forms. I've helped out with food and set-up and clean-up in the past. This year I'm going to pick up some of the paperwork. I already have a living will but don't think I have a medical power of attorney.

I love the meme going around about "not starting my resolutions until Feb 1st. January was just the trial run". I've made good progress in lots of areas in January and hoping to add in a few more in February but keep going and build on the January successes!

Great ideas. I'm going to spend some time setting up a plan for 2018! I'm very excited and feel some big changes coming.

Oh I need to do that too. I had one but it was in the safe the burglars took when the broke into my home. One thing I did do this part year is plan and begin paying for my funeral. My parents did that and it was so helpful!

My resolution is to do things to make things easier when I pass away. I am 71.

First thing I need to do is make out a will.

Last year I made a new years resolution to go paperless since I tended to let things like statements etc pile up. I was especially bad about keeping credit card receipts and never reconciling them.

This was the worst when it came to tax time causing me to wait until the tax deadline before I disciplined myself enough to go through everything to get ready. Sad really because I always get a sizable refund.

My plan with credit card receipts was simple. I would keep them in my phone case and when I couldn't close the magnetic closure it meant it was time to go online and reconcile them. Both my roommate and I are so proud of me.

It is December and I only have about 10 to15 receipts. Mind you... I charge EVERYTHING. In fact, my roommate will ask for a receipt when he charges something now a days so he can give it to me as a joke and I say... "I don't want your stinking receipt!" lol

Who says your new years resolution has to end before February.
