Yet again this Sunday I was low in calories at 929. During my work week I am very good about following a schedule for eating. On Sunday while I'm trying to get everything done around the house I seem to drift along in regards to food. I am not hungry and nothing sounds tasty. I have got to figure out a way to do better on Sunday!

Good foods to include: beans/lentils/legumes, kale, dried apricots... oh, and my Vega smoothie-a-day don't hurt neither!

I generally maintain good levels of fibre in my diet and yet, last week, I was diagnosed with SEVERE diverticulitis. Weird. So, I'm upping the ante and aiming for 35 instead of 25 and adding a little metamucil when I have to.

We need to get our fiber from whole, natural sources. If you see 'fiber' in weird places you know it's just another man made gimmick to sell stuff. Read your labels.

wow-I'm impressed with how much fiber some of you are getting in...I am trying to quit the Metamucil pills and get my fiber in with food...just started yesterday and got 19 grams in. Stomach was kind of jumpy this morning, but I am determined to see this through!

Well I'm in! I just jumped on the gluten free bandwagon and I think it might be a bit of a challenge to get adequate fibRE. So far so good though.

I've been meaning to pay more attention to this because I have upped my protein and the fiber has fallen off a little. Still think I'm getting plenty though. I'm in.

Fiber-24 grams.

I was short on fiber but I also only ate 865 calories. It was one of those I don't really feel like eating, nothing sounds good days.

OK. This month's CLEAN EATING challenge is a fibre challenge. A diet high in fibre promotes fat loss. How much fibre are you eating? Strive for 25-35 grams of fibre per day. Fibre comes from many sources; fruits & veggies are an excellent source, as are complex carbs like whole grains, brown rice, bran...
