Day 11 working on this...read repeat
From now on, plan that you will eat for only two reasons:

1) to fuel your body

2) to appreciate flavors

Measure all of your food intake against these guidelines.

To take good care of your body's needs, plan for a minimum of three fuel stops a day, then add a couple of mini-stops in between. You may want to space out your fuel intake by eating five or six small meals each day.

Day 6 Temptation
Waiting good idea, while having a glass of H20, better than those extra nibbles. Been stressed and distracted lately, by saying “Not just yet... I’m going to wait a little while.” will help to stay on program of getting healthy and fit that I have been working on for 4 months

Create a scrapbook for recording your favorite foods to look at during cravings and DON'T eat the calories. Instead, make a one page description of the food, anticipate the pleasure of eating it sometime in the future or not because seeing and feeling is the same satisfaction as eating.
Day 5 GREAT homework emoticon

1. Desired Food Buttered Popcorn, Carmel apple with nuts, Dragon egg roll, crab rangoon, and turtle Brownie

2. Plan to eat food amount, lower calories, fit it into your program.
Lightly Buttered Popcorn August twice good movie Carmel apple with nuts September 3 times Dragon egg roll crab rangoon October

3. Create magic notebook. I don’t HAVE to eat certain foods because I see them on the pages of my scrapbook with description of the taste, aroma, and feelings the food creates with the first bite. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. Creating this scrapbook decreases the food's power to interrupt my healthy eating and getting fit program. Eventually the visual picture in my mind and memory of sensation eating provides will be ZERO calories and I won't have to run for 10 miles to burn off the food cravings.

Day 4 Summary, .Road to sucess a little wider, holidays or vacations, still within food budget you keep on road don't steer off completely

1. My narrow road includes measuring and recording my intake. On wider road, I probably won’t record everything, but will still follow a very healthy meal plan. Exercise is planned ahead especially when the road widens If I do not want to work of eat lower calories instead of widening the road that has caused my weight to go up in the PAST, not anymore!! emoticon

I struggled for years (gained 40 #) asking for my husband's help! A couple weeks on Spark I understood"I am doing this for me!" with the support of this wonderful POSITIVE CLUB! I wasn't eating many F or V and not drinking enough water.
Now I do all three: fresh or frozen F&V then bought a water cooler with HOT for tea.
Those are the major changes for the first 30 pounds and now I am adding exercise!

Great plan!

If you have a smart phone you can download the SparkPeople free apps that make it easier for tracking calories and exercise.

I can empathize with the spouse situation. I had to lose over 40 pounds before mine even noticed!

You're off to a great start!

People who are committed to losing weight Read* Repeat* Daily
1. Stick with their plans no matter what

2. Take action whether they feel like doing it or not

3. Assume that if they stay motivated, results will follow

4. Take responsibility for their own actions

5. Keep going in spite of challenges and setbacks

Day 3 assignment:

1. In your diet or exercise plan, identify a task you don’t feel like doing, and then do it anyway! Tracking food intake, I will work on it to be another good Habit

2. Notice how it feels to accomplish a goal by taking a “no matter what” approach to it.
I also choose to remain strong in my commitment even if my husband doesn't notice. Making that decision feels very empowering.

3. Make a list of several actions you plan to stick with today, regardless of how you feel at the moment. Exercise Daily just get out the door and feel better afterwards! Drink from new water cooler. Keep adding

Day 2 assignment
1. Decide that you will always be committed to your weight-loss plan, not just interested.
Commitment Determination Ongoing Achievements

2. Now describe how you will stick with your program, no matter what.
Invent new ways for nurturing, connecting and fun

3. Do at least one thing today that demonstrates you are truly committed. For example, take a walk or eat your vegetables—no matter what. Then write down your action so you can celebrate it.

My plan: Cardio***strength training***stretch in pool Yeah! I am committed!

100 days challenge: emoticon 8/18/2014 I use to struggle with tracking food and exercise, now I do it and I see results! I use to emotionally eat whenever (e.g. afraid, bored, upset, even happy), now I found new ways to deal with my feelings
Reasons to be healthy: Get sexy back, manage low thyroid symptoms, prevent health problems, strength to be active a long time,...
