To honor the kickoff of the NFL regular season this Thursday night, and to celebrate the upcoming release of EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp, I'd like to pose a couple of medium-to-long term goal deadline possibilities.

First off, EASA NFL TC will be released in almost ten weeks on Tuesday, November 16. By that time, what change(s) will you have made in your health/fitness?

Football fans (and commercial enthusiasts...) also look forward to Super Bowl XLV (45), which will be on Sunday, February 6, 2011, roughly 21 weeks away. Obviously, that's much further out in the future, so what long-term goal would you like to accomplish in time for the Super Bowl?

Hey, on 10/10/10 (October 10, 2010), Brett Favre turns XLI (41)! If he can still do what he's doing, why can't you do something special, too?

Starting today, for my EASA NFL Training Camp deadline goal, I want to have completed at least XXX (30) strength training workouts by November XVI (had enough of the Roman numerals yet???).

On February 6, the Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, will be rolling in the money, whether the Cowboys make it to Super Bowl XLV or not, since the game will be in his new Arlington stadium. By that day, I want to be able to run 10K (6.2 miles) in under XLV minutes (7:15 mile pace). Although I grew up running, and even ran two years of cross country in high school, I haven't run a 10K race in over 20 years, so this could be a very interesting challenge!

Anyone else want to make some goals (endzones?) of their own, too?
