I just joined this team because I have not been in the habit of exercising recently. It has been easy to skip it one day that turned into two and then multiple days. Doing a little something is better than nothing, so here I am starting a new exercise streak.

And thanks to everyone joining me on this journey. We can do this!

I began the New You BootCamp Videos this week. Today was the "Day 2 Video". I love them. Very informative and simple to follow. I want to continue these videos and finish the series. That is my challenge. emoticon

I joined this challenge as a way to get exercise back into my schedule.
I too often avoid getting active with the excuse of "I can finally relax after a long day at work and driving the kids to their activities".
10 minutes seems easy and a perfect starting point.

10 minutes a day on the exercise bike. That is the plan. I would rather take a 10 minute walk at lunch. Maybe I can do either one or both. HMM I used to exercise 30 minutes in the morning 30 minutes through lunch and hit the treadmill for 1 hour every single day. Yes I was thinner. I was also younger.

I joined this challenge because I realized that it's motivational for me too see a visual that I've accomplished something.

This is week 2 for me doing at least 10 mins a day

I will be thinner and healthier if it kills me. We don't say diet in our house-ever. Diets fail!

BLMHOUSTON, those procrastinations are mine too. Its so much a battle of one mind over another, both in ones own head, one stronger now, then the other. I sometimes try and develop a THIRD mind, call it "The Observer" and that mind looks on at the on going war between the first two, and often steps in on the side of the mind who knows I should be exercising. Two against one, but even then its not certain which one wins out!

I'm joining this challenge, because I think that it will teach me that the simple things work. As long as I fit that ten minutes in now, then maybe I can find 20min tomorrow? So my goal for this week is to go for a 10min power walk on my lunch breaks this week.

I have been rather sporadic lately with the exercise so my goal for this week, and the challenge in general, is to get back to doing SOMETHING for AT LEAST 10 minutes a day (and work my way up to more as I go) EVERY day. I have got to get back into a routine!

My main goal is to develop consistency - to exercise at least (at a minimum) 10 minutes EVERY day. I plan to alternate days with walking and seated aerobic/cardio/strength DVDs.

At present my exercise is walking. I tend to walk between 3 and 5 miles every other day. On the days in between I just sit on my backside, painting (watercolours) and/or reading (that's apart from doing the housework and cooking). I'm able to do this because I'm retired. Aged 64.
Anyway, I've joined this challenge because I want to commit to doing at least 10 mts proper exercise on the in between days. Thanks for reading emoticon

That is great! I just joined this challenge and I plan on going for 10 minute walks in my neighborhood and if it is raining I'll hop on the treadmill :)

Restarting this challenge TODAY! My goal is to make exercise a habit & to increase the 10 min per day to 60 min per day by the end of the challenge. Consistency is what I have been lacking... I go to the gym @ lunch a couple of times a week; but I want to make that 3-4 times a week plus additional exercise at home.
Can't go to the gym @ lunch today because I have to run an errand at the mall, so I am going to walk the mall for 10 minutes after completing the errand. Will be at the park tonight & tomorrow for my son's football games, so going to get some additional walking in there too :)
I know all the little times will add up & start making a difference.

My goal is to be active for 10 minutes every day.

Further, I want to be active for at least 30 minutes no less than twice per week. I've tried dieting before and I always get stuck and that's because I put the work in with food, but rarely with activity. Let's change that!

Signed up for this challenge last night and did 16mins on the elliptical this morning. My goal is to make exercise a habit - my lifestyle is generally very sedentary and if I am to reach my goal weight I need more exercise. Besides, I like the feeling good afterwards.

My goal right now is just to make sure I keep up the streak for the entire length of the challenge! Those days when I do not feel like working out or feel like I am too busy, I can tell myself "It's only 10 minutes..."

I am working hard to make exercise a daily thing for me, and even though just ten minutes isn't a lot it seems to already be helping to keep me in a fitness frame of mind. Like with being more mindful of my eating, being mindful of movement is very helpful! Obviously I hope to do more than the minimum time at least half the days, my focus is on the streak.

Back to Spark after a long time off. Joined this group because I need to start getting exercise every day again. I run for about an hour to an hour and a half every Saturday and Sunday but my schedule is crazy the rest of the week. I figure anyone can add in 10 minutes of exercise a day. It's a good place to start. Have to make an appointment with myself.

My first three days were just kind of natural - I had dance class twice and a home improvement project in between.
Now I have today and the weekend to keep up the streak until dance again....

But luckily, I just signed up for my first dance competition, so I'll need to be practicing all weekend!

I'm trying to get into the habit of consistency. I am really good at working out for two days, then taking four or five off. I want to do at least 10 minutes of exercise per day even if it is just walking around the block. I need to kick this "all or nothing" mentality and just start small!
