I walked my first 5k this past Saturday (Color Me Rad in Tulsa). I did a 20 min per mile pace and am still very very sore. I thought walking 3 miles at 20 min would be no big deal and I'm determined to get to a point where, not only can I beat that time, but I can complete 5k without any soreness afterwards.

My goal is to get back into my healthy habits. I stopped visiting Sparkpeople for a year and exercising for six months due to work. I have gained back some weight and lost the energy I used to have. I vow to exercise more consistently and make myself a priority.

This will be my second time that I have done this challenge but since the last time that I did this challenge I had a different job. I changed jobs and my hours changed but my healthy eating habits and work out habits did not change with it so I have gained back 25 lbs. Hoping this will kick start my weight loss again.

My goal is to look better in a picture when I see my favorite artist this year. Last February when I met her I felt so much bigger then her and since then I have lost 20lbs and want to continue that weight loss journey! Only 11lbs to go til I'm under 200lbs!

The answer is YES YOU CAN! Just keep at it. I started +1 Day Challenge on January 1st with another team that I belong to and each day we add one more rep and each month we add one new exercise: Today I did 85 deep squats, 54 pushups and 26 lunges (each leg). This challenge is going for the entire year and I want to win the prize. Already my "prize" has been being able to wear some skin tight black work out pants (you know the ones) and I don't look half bad! emoticon

Can I stay on day 1 toning video for a few days before moving on? I don't just want to struggle through it, I want to be able to do it well. At the end of this challenge, I would like to have a stronger body, hips, knees, lungs and heart & be able to do more things without hurting like playing with my grandkids (7 & 3). I would like to be able to sit on the floor with them & not struggle to get back up.

I want to be in the best shape & health that I can.

I'm getting the videos done for the workouts each day, but I am finding it very difficult to get in the 30 minute cardio, even in 10 minute increments. This is something I will continue to work at and find a way to get it in. I think part of it needs to be me getting out of bed when my alarm goes off and not hit snooze as I want the mornings to be when I get my workouts in. I am completely useless when I get home from work and its the time I can spend with my husband. Feeling a bit defeated right now.

I did the January challenge. It was very good for me. I think this challenge will keep me on track. I'm almost to my goal weight. And bathing suit time is getting closer. I want to be comfortable at the pool.
