I want to cook more meals at home and learn how to make them healthy. I also want to start planning meals the way my mom did when I was a kid.

Nothing can stop me!

I would like to make a recipe to have a hot, healthy meal every weeknight. I would also like to make sure that I get essential healthy ingredients each time I go to a supermarket to make that easier. More veggies, more fruit, more seasonings, and less convenience!

This is going to be so much fun! My first goal is to use all of the fresh produce purchased for this week. Nothing forgotten and wasted like so often happens with my good intentions. Especially salad makings. emoticon

My Week 1 goal is to plan healthy meals. I've always been good about planning meals ahead and being organized with a shopping list. I can pretty much stick to the list when I'm in the store. But planning a healthy meal each day is not always the end result. So that's what I'm going to do each day this week! Off to the store today with a healthy shopping list!

Ok I tried this challenge before and did not get it done. Right now our lives are too hectic for me not to be on track with our food choices. I have gotten lazy and the 10 pounds I've gained back are there to prove it.
Hence my goals for this challenge are to get back to the meal planning like I've done so diligently in the past. Second we are in a food rut. I want to make one new recipe a week. Third I want my kids involved in the planning of this since they are heading towards the high sugar stuff again like me.
So there you go. My goals in writing. I am going to post on my sparks age also so everyone can see.

Taking the 3W approach- Workout, Water and Watch it.

My goal today is to have a healthy lunch, I'm eating out with friends after church.

Though my week two started yesterday, I was able to try a new recipe today. Its just a simple snack of fruits (diced), yogurt, and milk (it was yummy).

My Goals for this week are:

Find the time to cook ahead. If I go ahead and make the meals ahead of time I shouldn't have an excuse to not eat healthy even though I'm a student.

I also plain to get at least one recipe made out of my sparkpeople cook book.

I also plain to make a meal plain.

My goals for the week: make a meal plan, clean up pantry, and get more fruits and veggies into my meals. :)

I want to think again of dangerous and noble things. I want to be light and frolicsome. I want to be improbable and beautiful and afraid of nothing as though I had wings.

My goals are to cook a healthy meal every night this week. I have made a start by creating a menu plan for the week and creating a shopping list. I have also added the meals to our weekly planner in the kitchen and attached the recipes!

Can anyone help me get my ticker in pounds! emoticon

Done found the answer on (1) My Trackers, and then choose start (2) Click account/email preferences (write at top of page on left hand side (3) scroll down the page to the My Information block and (4) unclick the tiny little box that says Use Metric System. That will clear it up for you.

My goals for the first week are to focus on doing more cooking on the weekend so that there we have basics to eat during the work week. I'm also going to try and avoid the convenience foods like chicken fingers or eating out which tend to crop up when my husband and I are both busy and tired!

My goal for the week is to be better prepared with my menu. Too often I'm asking "what do you want to eat tonite?" when I should just be able to have something planned already. I'd also like to be able to rearrange the items in the fridge so the healthy foods are more accessable.

My goal is to make the most of batch cooking. Particularly "cook once, eat all week." Overall, be better prepared during the work week.

My goals are to improve my cooking and start eating healthy. I'm a recent college graduate and my eating habits are atrocious, fast food half the week and instant food otherwise. This needs to change as I'm trying to get into overall better shape.

My goals are to get back to eating healthy again. I'm going to use the weekends to plan my meals. Most importantly I want to have easy and appetizing backup snacks and meals. I get stressed out during the week because of my busy schedule and I believe this will help me keep track and not want to eat out. I have all the tools (from previous attempts) now I just need to set aside the time and have the discipline to do it.

I want to increase my bike mileage. I have been planning my meals weekly and trying new healthy things. I make my lunch for the week every Sundays and freeze it and tote to work keeping my calories and carbs in check and not going over budget financially. I think I am a much better cook than any frozen food vender :)

OK...my goal for week one and menu planning is going to be to plan a liver cleanse. I know that sounds weird , but I have been told by many, that when starting a new diet, or starting eating healthier, that you should cleanse the liver so it can work FOR you, instead of AGAINST you in your goals.

According to Puristat: Digestive wellness center, " The liver converts food into substances needed for life and growth, storing glycogen (a blood-sugar regulator), amino acids, protein, and fat. It also makes the enzymes and bile that help to digest food. In addition, the liver neutralizes harmful toxins and wastes, so it is at great risk of contamination from environmental toxins and those contained in over-processed foods."

With that said, I am going to make sure I have no "build up" (if you will) and that my liver is functioning at its peak performance level, by doing a liver cleanse the first week. For those who are interested I will be following Dr. Schulze's 5-day detox. I have used his products when I had gall stones. Idid not need surgery after doing the cleanse. I stand behind his products 100%. Just click on the link and then click on the liver detox. It will give you all the info about how it works and why it is important. If it is too expensive, there is always info online somewhere and at health food stores about detoxing your liver.

My goals for the week are to actually plan my meals in advance so I don't fix/grab the easiest thing (or order pizza) instead of fixing something healthy. Also, I plan to eat a fruit or veggie with each meal - I don't eat near enough of these!

My goal is to develop a passion for making healthy food choices and providing nutritious meals for my boyfriend and myself. I do all the cooking and find that days I have no interest in cooking are the days that I go to the quick and easy fixes or fast food. I am hoping to find some new inspiration to help me kick start new interest in cooking at home.

My goal is to get group of menus that will make it easy for me to make fast easy meals for my family. Food that we will all enjoy and help to lose the weight necessary. Plan on having low fat, low sugar meals, in fruits and vegetables. By getting my kitchen and cooking into shape I'll get into shape too.
