I went to the grocery store with a friend today and I saw some oatmeal cream pies on the aisle. I turned my head and kept talking with her. I usually pick up the box and buy it immediately.

Like so many, I am about to become undone by the Easter rabbit. Everyone at work, it seems like, is walking around with Creme Eggs and friends are sending me articles about Peeps. Oh my beloved peeps. By this time last year, I had eaten a dozen boxes of peeps, creme eggs, mini eggs, and, even though I don't really like them but are for the season, jelly beans.

I made a bargain with myself. No pre-Easter treats and on Easter Monday, I can go to the grocery and buy $5 of easter candy. (too busy on Easter itself.) And it must last for awhile, because the next $5 candy binge will be at halloween.

But if I give in just once, one little nibble of peep, the Easter deal is off the table.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Humbug!

Yep. I'm familiar with that. Usually I can defeat it with water and some fruit. Not always...

Oh I know the lure of the vending machine....it's totally evil! LOL
I make sure NEVER to have any loose change hanging around at work or dollar bills. That certainly helps.

In stores, I have to speed walk by the frozen food section (luckily my lean cuisines are an aisle over from the ice cream). I have a serious weakness for frozen pizza though.....
The bakery.....omg I could shovel loaves of bread into my mouth oh and not to mention the cookies....sigh. But I avoid that section of the store as well. I typically only buy english muffins or wraps anyway.

Anything Reese's I have trouble with. Literally. I cannot go into stores hungry or I will walk out with one or five.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate... the sinful sweet mixture created by the Gods. I have resisted thus far, though. I won't cave!!!!

You can do it too - just think of how much better you feel in your jeans when you're not all bloated!

I have to physically look away to avoid triggering cravings. I purposely look away from the freedie snack table at work, the vending machine, TV commercials, you name it.

Today I went walking in the mall with a friend - woo hoo to us for still agreeing to walk, despite the rain - and we kept walking past an Auntie Anne's pretzel stand that smelled like cinnamon sugar pretzels. I was drooling. And looking away.

Reese's white chocolate peanut butter cups have my number. Fortunately they are not usually in the store checkout lines...but when I see them they call to me and whisper sweet nothings in my ear.

I have recently discovered a white chocolate peanut butter that I have been including in my daily plan this week that should help me resist the candy temptation.

Original SW on 1/1/11 - 204.4 lbs.
Original GW on 9/1/11 - 134.5 lbs
Original GOAL ACHIEVED! 70 lbs. banished!

Time zone: EST

New SW on 1/1/19 - 204, back to the very beginning
New GW by 12/31/20 - 135

Mind the Gap! between what we know we should do and what we actually choose to do.

I'm always craving that big delicious cinnamon danish in the vending machine at work. I'm pretty good at not getting it which helps now that I'm counting my calories.

Am I the only one that just looks at that snack in the machine and notices it talks back and says 'you know you want me'. hee hee.
