calories needed is how many calories do you need to burn to reach your goal.

OK so I didn't track all weekend....I didn't over eat too much because my stomach was bothering me a lot,but I still over ate for my calorie range.

Today it changes and it is back to tracking!

I'm new to this so I won't be in the proper format just yet. My goal for the time being is to get more educated on how many calories I actually need these days and should be burning. I work out at least 4 days but could be more consistent and add weekends. Eating is my bigger issue. I'm still indulging like I'm on my honeymoon and that's not good. Time to get back into weight loss mode and healthy living.

Ashley, You asked in the other thread about what might be keeping you at your plateau, its only from my own experience but are you sure you are eating enough calories? I've found time and time again that I won't lose any weight until I eat closer to the higher end of my calorie range, or at least zig zag from high to low calorie days.

If you ate 1200 cals and burned 566 then you are only leaving your body 634 cals to operate on and that does not sounds like very much to me. I aim to eat between 1300-1450 cals a day and I only burn about 350 for each cardio session leaving a balance of 950-1100 cals for my body to keep it running.

I eat way more than you and I burn on average 1600 cals a week in cardio which is so much less than you, perhaps the plateau is telling you to eat more (healthy of course) food.

Ew I totally blew it again yesterday....my eating is out of control!!! I was up at 1940 calories and I likely didn't track every little one :(

I'm going to honor my SP changes since I adjusted my goal date.

So now my weekly calories burned will be 1600 and my calorie range will be 1200-1550.

Lets see how the days goes...update to come later

Update -
Day went really badly, over ate by at least 500 calories and my run was half as long as it should have been.

7. Calories left to burn this week: 1600-344-746-702= already burned 192 more than I needed! Still a run on Friday :)

1. Calories: 1409 (Range 1390-1740) Wow my range was upped today when I put in my new calories burned total...this is interesting
2. Cardio: Run 4.5k 318 calories, 40 mins
3. Strength: nope

Don't worry Ashley, I'm having a hard time myself this weekend, so much to do and so little time!

Saturday was okay, went out for supper so I had to estimate calories but I ended up just at my high end. Today I ended up at 1497, ran 5k this morning and haven't done any strength training in at least a month. Fruits and veggies aren't doing to badly, water intake is good, still hovering between 124-125.

Pathetic update I know but now its 9pm and I need to start my stats assingnment, hope everyone had a great weekend.
