Sounds like a good plan. I too have cut back on my sets and moved the swings to the end of my workout.

I'm not going to be affording a heavier KB soon, so I'm going to be increasing my number of reps.

I have seen on some good training videos that the Russian style form includes an explosive hip snap and planking as the kettlebell floats up and back down, as well as good straight back on the hinge (not vertical, straight) as the hips hinge back and 'up'. I've noticed that as I have increased reps, I have to work very hard to keep all that good form going.

To deal with this, I'm lowering my number of sets per session, but increasing my number of sessions. I'm finding that it is now easier for me to maintain good form. As I tire, I'm already done for the day (currently, and in the future per session, will wait at least many hours before another). Not only do I seem to be maintaining proper form better, but I'm looking forward to the next session. More to come, but so far it is working.

As we heard in the movie Signs: "Swing away, Merrill, swing away!"
