I agree!! I am usually so busy that I ignore my body's hints that it is time to eat so I end up overeating or going for unhealthy foods. Now I eat smaller portions more often and end up eating healthier options because I have my day planned out and carry food with me. I usually work during the day so I eat breakfast at home (or drink a smoothie/protein shake on the way to work) and have a lunch and 2 healthy snacks packed to go with me to work. Make sure you have a good carb+protein mix for each one to keep you satisfied and energized. And make sure you drink plenty of water!! Sometimes we think we are hungry when our body is actually thirsty!! emoticon

Hi! Tammy here. I'm not as active on SP as much as when I first started but still here in the shadows. With exercise, life, and planning, life keeps me pretty busy.

Here's my philosophy after losing a bunch of weight the first time around. Trying to get my second round (getting off this plateau) going.

It's all about taking small healthy steps and building onto them. Healthy steps can include things like drinking your water daily, measuring food portions, using the food tracker, getting daily exercise, using the fitness tracker, and setting achievable goals. Dont overwhelm yourself. Do a few things then add on to them. It helps to create a healthier lifestyle to help keep the weight off.

Try to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks daily. The trick is to eat less more often. I find that I only eat 2 snacks daily unless I get my exercise in.

I've done most of this but I need to start fine tuning.

Btw, I'm originally from Hawaii. Most of my family still live throughout the islands. I settled in Indiana and here I'll stay for the long haul.

Hope this helps!

I'll keep working at it. I'm worth it. You're worth it too.

Every day is a new day. Gotta keep on keepin' on, no matter what!

Hi - this community doesn't seem to be too active and I personally would like to talk to (digitally or in person) other people who are changing their lives through eating better and activity.

So - a challenge for me is the weekends or when I am not working. My mind knows I should eat before get famished but I just keep doing what I'm doing until I'm STARVING then I don't make the best food choices. If at home, I tend to go for cheese. If I'm out - who knows. McDonalds Hamburger? Sushi? Jamaba?

Anyone care to share tips and tricks that might help? Or empathy?
