Well, the house is done. The computer is fixed. I can get back here now.
I just beat my personal best in running. I'm feeling so good right now. I don't even want to eat any junk food. I can't wait to get back to the gym tomorrow for another treadmill run.
How's everyone here doing? My challenges kinda went bye bye when i got off the computer. Couldn't track my food or workouts. next time, I'll use paper. duh! bought a water filter so I can drink more water. The water here tastes funny so with the filter, it's so much better I can drink it now and save money on all the bottles. Not to mention the recyclables.
Hope everyone is out getting exercise since they don't seem to be here much. Where is everyone???

How will I know what I can accomplish if I quit?

How is everyone doing? the last 5 weeks have been so busy for me, I don't even remember what my 6 month goals were. I'll be looking in to that momentarily. I hope everyone is doing well.

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing with the new Year goals. I drank 80 oz. water today, and since I found the summary calendar, I've been tracking and staying in range most days. I love getting that gold star! emoticon

If in doubt, throw it out.
I just hate being around things. I find life much more organized if I don't have stuff to organize.
Easier to clean too. Seriously, for the normal person, get into your stuff and see what you haven't used in a year or two and just get rid of it. Ask yourself, do i really need this? will I really use this? Remember, the house will look so much better decluttered and so easy to keep clean.
back to my murphys oil soap. doing staircases now.

Not silly to me Betty! I have had a love hate relationship with my nails for all my life. I wore acrylics for years and that really messed up already messy nails. Proper filing, and massaging olive oil into the cuticles has stimulated mine to a healthy growth, but it was a long process.

Cin kudos for all that cleaning. Any pointers on de-cluttering would be very welcome from my end. Hmmm I didn't do so well with the water and tracking toward the end of the month. I think for my next 30 days I'll keep those, and add 10 minutes daily de-cluttering.

I was doing so good but now not so much.
going to the gym everyday, weather permitting. eating okay, not tracking like i want to tho. today i tracked. hope to get back to that. didn't hit the 5 pound loss this month either. got about 3 down. one's back on but it's also TOM for me so we'll see about the water weight thing later.

congrats on the nice looking nails. Mine are ripped and nasty looking. But my kitchen is spotless, cabinets got an over haul and everything is organized. My nails paid the price.

I know that this will sound silly to many of you, but I can't believe that it is almost a month of me having decent looking nails. Not talons, mind you, because I could never work with long nails. But they are neat, polished, no hangnails, etc. Before they were always ragged, pulled or chewed off, and I was embarrassed if I had to point at something or if someone was looking closely at my hands. I've been tempted to "go at them" a few times when I got a nick or rough area, but I quickly filed them and then left them alone. I think that, trying to take it one day at a time has really helped. I have channeled my anxiety into other areas, especially clicking away on this website (and in the process admiring my nails as I look at the keyboard).

I have been struggling with the same two or three pounds over the last two weeks, which is frustrating, but I have kept up my 30 minutes cardio each day.

Now my other goal of organizing old photos to make a scrap book has not gotten off the ground yet......

We're almost to the end of our first 30 days. Time to re-evaluate. How is everyone doing? Will you try a new goal or stick with the same. Have you formed some new habits?

Hope everyone is doing well. I've been doing great with my New Years's challenge. I did at least 30 minutes of cardio each day and my nails are looking great!! I have been reading my devotions each day, too. Now, there was at least one day that I didn't track my food...and I know I cheat a little. Tomorrow I will bravely step on the scale and hopefully be pleasantly surprised!

I am so proud that I have been sticking with my 30 day goals. Not 100%, but at least 90%. I read my bible everyday but one, have let my nails grow and try to keep clear polish on them, I have done at leat 30 cardio minutes everyday but one, and I am tracking my food. I hope I can keep it going....

How is it going for everyone? First week is coming to a close. I've been doing pretty good with my tracking and water. Although calories have been high, at least I'm tracking them.

I feel so good today. Tracking my food and coming in just right. working out hard. Gained 2 pounds since thanksgiving but took one off so far this week. I'm hoping to lose 5 more this month. Feeling good, confident and sleeping better.

I keep my goals simple. I'm thinking 5 pounds per month for three to four months. I like to eat the same thing everyday too. Makes it easier for me so I don't have to think about what to eat and then eat the wrong thing.

one spark friend on another team keeps a spreadsheet of his goals. I was thinking about that but I just write them down in a notebook. I need it in writing so I don't forget everything

I'm doing well so far. I made a little chart and hung it on the back of the 1/2 bath door (covered over with other things so my family doesn't see). On the chart, I am keeping track of my 30 day goals. I check them off as I've done each one. I am the type who has to make lists and write things down in order to stay organized. Does anyone else do this with their goals? I totally understand writing down your food. I don't do that, but keep a mental list and end up eating a lot of the same food each day, which makes it easy to remember.

i was going to write it down and post on the tracker later, but now I'm afraid I'll end up eating more. so far, I've been in my ranges. I just have to bite the bullet and keep doing it until it's habit.
I'm posting and reading more since I'm on here a few times a day so maybe that will actually help.

I can track it easily if I write it down. It's time consuming to use the SP tracker. It's going better now. (new laptop)I did get all my water in and did the tracking. have to go track my other goals yet.Have a good night/day!

well, survived day 2. I really hate tracking my food but I managed it again today. I don't know why I hate tracking it. That's probably weird. But I'm eating better and not giving in to munchies because I dont want to log in and track it. LOL

Unfortunately no. that's why I made this a fresh chat and a sticky topic. as new threads are started the old ones gp lower. It's also unfortunate that each forum can only have 3 sticky topics.

Wow...when I looked for this challenge, I saw all the old challenges through 2010. Is there any way for the team leaders to get rid of the clutter?
