Unfortunately I pulled a muscle, but this is part of the reason I am on this program - to try and get in shape so I am not hurting myself all the time. The pull is in my buttocks so just watched video 2 and figured I would give my pull a rest today. I at least know the right thing to do to take care of it......ice, heat, ice, heat several times a day and Tylenol for a couple of days. I hope to be on track tomorrow and am also due for cardio. I am going to my podiatrist tomorrow so my feet should be in better shape to do the cardio, otherwise I will be going to the gym to ride the bike or swim. I am bound and determined to make this Jumpstart Challenge work but have to be smart about it. I am going to do my 10 minutes of stretching tonight. Eating progam going well. emoticon

I actually finished videos 1 and 2. I'm kinda surprised at myself. Drank 7 cups of water. Ate ok. But I still felt like snacking all day. Finally back to our normal routine around here.

I guess having a group challenge like this really is inspirational. I clocked my most fitness minutes in any one day. I did 41 minutes on recumbent bike (8-10 mph), today's video (Lower Body Sculpt) and a few sets of Wall Push-ups (I have broken both my wrists as a teenager and they are still a bit weak).

I am very encouraged...

(Despite the fact that when I did the bridge lifts my butt barely cleared a few inches; I gotta tone that sag!)

The checklist for the team goals shows up in the tracking area under "Other Goals." Once you log into SP, it takes you to the start page, and it's athe 4th tab at the top.

As far as adding the fitness videos, I do it at the article with the video. Scroll down towards the bottom and it has an option to add it to your fitness tracker.

Hope it helps, good luck!

Ran 65 minutes plus 20 minutes of walking for warmup and cool down. Recorded in fitness tracker.

How do I get this January Jumpstart Workout Challenge to show up on my tracker page (also doing food tracking)? Where do I find a checklist of what I need to do each day for each week so that I can check these off as I do them? Anyone know?

Thanks for any assistance.

Day 2 complete! I did the lower body video, which I loved! It was a lot of fun but tiring!!! I also managed to get 320 minutes of exercise. I've been doing it on the Wii, I know it isn't all cardio, but it helps me soooooo much with my balance. I think it's good to get a good foundation in rather than ending up hurting myself.

I'm so proud of us all! Way to go everyone!!!! :D

I'm trying to not use the excuse that it's too late to go exercise...so I've completed the video and did 35 min on the elliptical. Now I just need to track my food so I can get to bed.

Great job everyone! Keep it up.

Just signed up today. Today was my gym day with 45 min strength training and then 45 minutes of treadmill. Also did a 2 mile Leslie dvd this morning. Did tomorrows Nicole video tonight even though today was suppose to be a free day? Will probably do the next video tomorrow if I can move!!!

I'm excited about the videos! I love having short ones to do each day -- I did yesterday's but forgot about today's...oops! I did my cardio, tho...60 min! Playing SingStar Dance on our PlayStation 3 system. That is fun !!!! I will do Day 2 & 3 videos tomorrow after work...my normal exercise time! Today was a holiday.

Overate - high calories, over by 450! Yesterday was over by 300. 'sigh'
Darn dinners!

I still feel completely hopeful tho - especially for a weight loss of 1 lb by Thurs a.m.!

The January Jumpstart has gotten me to finally do some of Coach Nicole's videos. I have gotten comfortable with what I was doing before, but this is stretching me just beyond my comfort zone. I'm glad the videos are short... they do not overwhelm me enough to scare me away from doing them, yet they challenge me and teach me new moves. I see why everybody loves Coach Nicole!

Day 2 video done and not nearly as bad as yesterday. I know my tardive dyskinesia interferes with the best breathing techniques, but today was way and above yesterday. Hopefully, this means my cold/flu symptoms are dissipating. But the sore throat every evening keeps returning. I do not quite understand that part of this "bug".

I'm giving myself a pat on the back for making it through the video without the level of frustration experienced yesterday. Job well done, Juanita.

My goals are to follow the videos that have been posted each day two times through (for right now....working on getting my mojo back up to where it was at) and walk 20 minutes after work with my dog followed by a 10 minute cardio video.

So far, I've only gone through day 2. Right now, I'm feeling some muscles I haven't felt in a while, namely my ankle area, and a TON of pride to know that I'm doing something so wonderful for myself. I look forward to completing this challenge with flying colors and come out the other side healthier, happier, and full of pride for accomplishing this.

Let's go team!! emoticon emoticon

Love this Challenge! It's a great way to stay on track and help me exercise consistently!

HAPPY and motivated to stick with this challenge.

Did day 1 yesterday! Did day 2 today. I am pretty sure that if not for this challenge I wouldn't have worked out either day. Because I joined this team I told myself I had to and didn't give in to excuses that I didn't have time, etc. Each video is short and because it's daily it's such a great way to workout regularly.

Happy to say that it's the end of Day 2 and I'm still on track. Did Coach Nicole's 2nd daily workout, along with Day 2 of the 90-Day Supreme Body workout series. My eating/nutrition still needs attention, but so far no major lapses. Thanks to all for posting comments and encouragement. We can do this!

Im enjoying this challenge. I started yesterday with the first video and also got 70 minutes in on the wii fit with free run, free step, and rhythm boxing. Did the 2nd video today and a 3 mile walk. This challenge is really giving me the motivation I needed.

Today, I worked out "with" Bob Harper for 15 minutes (I'm on the BL black team ;) ) via our new Kinect, "with Jillian Michaels via the 30 Day Shred Level 3 Day 8, the 9 minute SP lower body video, and spent another 25 minutes in the Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 "gym (Kinect - dancing, cardio boxing, running, and smashing blocks).

My legs are on fire! I also need to work on my balance and coordination. I was having problems keeping up with Coach Nicole. Maybe it will be better next week.

Joined in a day late on this challenge, so I completed the first 2 days of videos and 45 minutes on the treadmill.
I have slacked off in a big way for months and need to get going again. I do really well until life gets busy and become overwhelmed with fitting it all in. I want this month to get my off to a great start so I can continue on a path that will keep me going in the right direction.

This is amazing! I thought the seasonal challenges had a great turnout, but they are nothing to the amount on this challenge! I did the last two days workouts, but in doing so I discovered something about myself-I have to keep everything low impact, there's no bounce in my step! Maybe it has something to do with being a little under 100 pounds too much to bounce! Anyway, if anybody has any suggestions on how to remain low impact, which I noticed today's video was anyway, please e-mail me and let me know, so I don't feel so lost on these videos! I do look forward to doing them, though as they really help!!!

I note that the program started my first week on the 28th, but I intended to start it today, and so I did 20 minutes of cardio kickboxing this morning, followed by 30 minutes of the 5K training program in the afternoon. Then I did a weight training program for 30 minutes. So far so good.

I did Day 1 yesterday and just completed Day 2 - did 35 min on the elliptical and then the video. Really like the new video!! I rely on the videos to get my strength training in and so I'm really familiar with them. Love this new one - cannot wait to see what Day 3 will be (and I'm not peeking ahead).

HI everyone

Sounds like everyone is getting a great start to the january challenge. Keep up the hard work. I have been on vacation for couple of weeks didn't do very good about staying on track so this was a great way to jump start the new year to get back on track. I got Day 1 and Day 2 done. I go back to work this week I seem to do alot better when I have a schedule so here I go.
