As promised here is the first analogy of the verse in the Greek text. I repeated the verse. The Greek words are italicized.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV) - "Love suffers long (= is patient) and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails..."

1. Love suffers long - makrothymeō = to be patient, not to lose heart, to persevere patiently and bravely, to be slow to anger, to be patient with a weaker or less mature Christian brother or sister

"The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible."

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF LOVE?

The characteristics of Love are listed in:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV) - "Love suffers long (= is patient) and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails..."

Over the next several days, I will be posting an analysis of these verses in the original Greek text, which should be enlightening.

Jesus gave us two Commandments for the New Covenant.

Mark 12:30-31 (NKJV) - "And 'you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

In this topic, I will be posting Bible verses that tell us about the Love of God. The first one is below. Feel free to post your own verses.

The Biblical definition and meaning of Love is found in: 2 John 1:6 (NKJV) - "This is love, that we walk according to His (God's) Commandments. This is the Commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it."

"The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible."
