My one wish for the list is that the girls that live and will be living on my side of the planet will have a get together for a huge slumber party...i can see it now..we can have a theme and if it is in a home that has video or dvd player we could pull an all nighter with movies chosen before hand...we could do a cooking party..making all sorts of healthy stuff...we could do an exercise party and go for long walks together....

That is my wish!!!!!!

Rita-

Thanks so much for your kind words of support!

Hopefully I will be moving in the next few months maybe just after the holidays. My husband is going to stay in NY until June to finish out his job here at a school. So it will be me and my two boys, Ali 9 years old and Zeyd 21 months, until Baba comes. Hopefully it will help me learn Turkish quickly as the only one in the whole town who speaks English is my son Ali. Oh and my husband's cousin's wife who is German and can speak some English mostly she like to discuss Sex and the City, or Desperate Housewives...lol!

I will be moving to my husband's hometown Zeytinli. It is a tiny town on the West coast- no one ever knows it because it is so small. It is very close to Akçay and Edremit. We have a house there and that is where all of my husband's family is. I feel like they are my family too, as I love them all dearly and miss them daily!

Look forward to hearing more about your move.

I am extremely proud of myself in the progress I have made. Honestly- I ROCK! I have lost 157+ pounds so far! I never thought I would be exercising daily and actually enjoying it! I never thought I would fit into smaller than a size 14! The last time I was smaller than that I was 9 years old and in 4th grade! I am amazed and thrilled with my progress. I never thought I would stop eating all day long or constantly thinking about food. However, here I am happy and not obsessing about food.

Don't get me wrong. Every moment isn't sunshine and roses. Sometimes it is rain and thorns. However, there is A LOT more sunshine and roses! Some days I struggle and fight with myself to get up and exercise. To eat only when I am truly hungry, to eat healthy, or to stop eating when I am full. However, I have never finished a workout and regretted it. I have never regretted eating well, and when I am actually hungry. I have always felt better physically and mentally after making good healthy choices.

On the other hand I have feel low energy all day long after not exercising in the morning when I had the chance. I have felt stuffed and bloated after I overate. I have felt like food didn't taste like much of anything when I have chosen to eat when I wasn't hungry- I just 'wanted it anyways' or 'felt like munching on something'. I have really regretted eating when I wasn't hungry. Especially just before a delicious meal, and then I wasn't able to enjoy it with my family. I have regretted eating something because it is 'good for me' or low in calories when I really wanted chocolate and that was all that would have satisfied me.

Even though I still have my struggles and difficult times. It sure is a lot easier than being 157+ pounds heavier! That was real struggle and difficulty, just living every day that obese! This- my struggles now- they are so minute in comparison to what I went through then. I wished I had done it sooner rather then spend my teen years, my 20s and half of my 30s unhappy, unhealthy, and severely uncomfortable at that weight. However, I now have every day forward as a healthy day and for that I am extremely grateful!

I can improve by not letting small things change my healthy choices. Like my husband works at a school and is anyways bring home little single servings of breakfast cereal. Most of them are filled with sugar some are okay choices. My toddler loves to bring them to me to eat. I fill them with milk and a spoon, and half the time he maybe eats three bites. I can't tell you how many times I have finished them because I hated to 'waste' food. Yet, I am wasting it in my body.

Also, I need to make more time for myself and I need to be more verbally demanding of others. If I need 'me time' I shouldn't expect my husband to read my mind I should just say, 'Hey honey take the kids out to the mall for a couple of hours so I can relax'.

I am staying at home with my youngest son and it can be a bit much day after day after day. I am so looking forward to moving back to Turkey, and returning to work as well! That way I will have lots of help. My in-laws are just begging for us to come so they can watch my boys.

I when I am stressed it is definitely much easier for me to make unhealthy choices. So my new plan is to hide the cereals, start making myself and my time more of a priority and to start serious planning of our move to Turkey- Woo-Hoo!!!!!

Emma I hear you, It's very hard for a lot of people this year.

Here in Turkey it's going to be very difficult for kurban bayrum this year. meat is Very expensive, and for people that live in the villages 1 sheep is going for 270 ytl (that's like a poor mans monthly wage) and a cow is like 3000.ytl It's so sad to see that a lot of people go with out eating meat. When we take it for granted, and call it a staple in our meals.

I'm sure your family will understand, after all it's all about being together, and having a good time.
Sometimes we buy things that are just for the sack of buying. sometimes just baking a batch of cookies can be a great gift. (I wouldn't refuse) lol

If the entire job problem is resolved (which I doubt) I would like to get my family Christmas presents. No one can afford anything. I'd like to be able to help make christmas for them.

Yes very happy! And I know it makes me feel good so that is why I am getting back on track before the pounds creep back on.

I don't know about the weight. It's hard to find a reliable scale at my size. But my ability to walk and stand has improved.

Yes, I am please with my progress.

I actually surprised myself by sticking to it and not giving up.

I am doing more strength training to build more muscle.

I think for me, I could be doing a lot more better. I have been slacking for a long time now.

why, I just can't motivate myself like before.

How, give myself a push, and look for motivation from my friends @ spark.
