I got it when I was 18 on my first trip without my parents, I was in Peru. It was a little scary as the artist and I didn't even speak the same language but I'm so glad I did it.
It was of a saxophone on my left leg. It looks really cool and it has music notes around it and the word "Saxy" coming out of the bell of the saxophone.
The meaning has changed for me since I got it.
My next will color (some look incredible tattoo-journal.com/have-fun-and-wate
), may be o owl which symbolizes the wisdom

My first tattoo is of a dove on my right shoulder blade - just some flash art. I was living in Minnesota, and my friends all called me "Bird" (short from WendiBird) - so I got a bird. :)

Everyone has a story...take a minute to find out what it is before judging them.

I've got a pretty gnarly scar myself, from a burn gone really, really bad, and I was SO self conscious about it until my tattooer (also my best friend's husband) got the idea to incorporate it into my Nightmare sleeve. Now I love showing it off, and people love that my tattoo is "3D".

I have three, all dragons. I like dragons because they symbolize strength, power and wisdom. They're all custom designed, but by three different artists. I didn't get the first one till I was in my 40s because I was married to someone who had a fit every time I even mentioned getting one. But that's okay, because I had 20+ years to think about it!

Pics on my page :-)

Have an ugly surgical scar, and since I am stuck with it for life, I figured I would decorate it. Had an artist design a vine that twines around the scar. In most cases, on first look, people don't actually realize there's a scar there.

The time to do this is now - not tomorrow, not next week, not next month. Now.

My first tattoo was typical 18 year old silliness. Myself and my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) were walking along one day and saw a "Tattoo" sign, and suddenly HAD to have one. Being young and crazily in love, we chose to get the Japanese kanji for "love" inked into our left shoulders. The tattooer did a HORRIBLE job- He went at it so hard that I have permanent scarring. My kanji is like Braille!

Although it's not a great tattoo, I still love it. It's something my husband and I share, and it's precious to me.
