Thank you to Hartnbr for giving me this challenge. Although I didn't make the 10 pound loss, it made me well on my way. I am in fact down 9.2 as of Wednesday. Not too bad.....

StrongerLeaner, Good job on your total weight loss.

Hey y'all. I've not given up but I didn't weigh in on time. When I step on the scales lately they continue to climb no matter what I eat. Then it hit me just this morning. I started taking cholesterol medicine last fall, the same time my weight started going up!! So, I did a little Google and sure enough weight gain is a side effect. Guess what...no more of that medicine for me. Cholesterol is hardly high but Dr. wanted to keep it lower. Well now that I have a treadmill I'll get back to working out but NO MORE OF THAT MEDICINE FOR ME!!

I'm heading out of town tomorrow so I won't be able to weigh in this week either but watch out....next week I might rule...haha!!!

I was hoping for more this week but I'm happy the number finally went down. I'm downn 6.0 pounds so far.

It was actually 165.6 first thing in the am but usually when I wait a few minutes to have the scale record the value, it usually goes down. Not today. Oh well. I will try to eat more veggies and fruits, milk and water this week.

Still at hospital and not anticipating a good weigh-in this week.

Remember you have to post your weigh-in in a timely manner to receive the "biggest loser of the week" sparkgoodie. Our official weigh-in day is Friday, but I give everyone through Sunday to report and I give the goodie on Monday morning.

I'm failing miserably at remembering to weigh-in. Down 2 more lbs this week as of today. I think that makes a grand total of 8 or 9 lbs since I started the challenge? Woohoo! I should be fair and say that I am on a medication that has a side-effect of weight-loss though...don't know how that cancels out on here. Good losing to all!

I am very happy because my daughter went to the ER on Tuesday and we ate dinner at 11:30pm. Then she went back Wednesday and had emergency surgery on Wednesday and I ate dinner at 10. Ate fast food both days but tried to make the best choices based on the restaurant.

Did get my exercise in almost daily.

So I'm home enjoying my last moments of peace and quite before heading back to the hospital. I had to exercise a lot of willpower this week to stay away from the vending machines. Boredom usually leads me to them. But I brought some South Beach cereal bars, fruit and 100calorie packs of microwave popcorn with me. There is a family lounge with a microwave.

So the weigh-in wasn't too bad, considering the only excercise I get is walking to the cafeteria!

Down .6. Not a lot, but I'll take it!

That's great! I wish I had room for one. And hey, congrats on the loss in spite of TOM!

I'm skipping the weigh-in today. I've been at the hospital since Wednesday with my son. Hubby is staying with him tonight, so I'll try to remember to weigh tomorrow morning and post it then.

Sorry, sorry...like I said, I'm bad about weighing myself. Thanks for e-mailing me...saw it and went "Doh!". SO I jumped on my scale and I am down 3 more pounds from last week. It seems as though I have finally fallen off of my plateaut...woohoo! Thanks all!!

Dtsobel, it could be fluid retention. Are you drinking enough water?

I weighed this morning and am back up to my SW! How did that happen? I watched what I ate and walked 4 miles Saturday! I'll have to lose 1.4 pounds by Friday just to get back to "0". UGH!

Hi Everyone,
I just found this challege & I am DEFINETLY in. I usually WI on Sundays, so I will use last week's WI as my starting point & go from there.
This will be a great thing to do for me (and will make my mom's mothers day too emoticon ) She is always so supportive of me & cheering me on. I think I will use as my reward for accomplishing this goal & challenge I will get us mani/pedi. That would be a GREAT mother's day!

Count me in. But my question is this: Do I have to weigh in on Friday? I like to weigh in on Sunday. And a few weeks ago, I was checking my weight daily (if not more) and making myself crazy with the fluctuation. So I made myself a goal to not check unless it is Sunday. Is that ok?

I am a very "fit" person, always have exercised so it's not like all my new exercising suddenly converted massses of fat to muscle...but I have been to the gym (two classes three times per week~ one aerobic, one conditioning) or taken a 5 mile walk every day for the past 20 days, snow days included. I have eaten better cutting out all candy and planning my sweet snacks in my meal plan. FO rthe most part I stay between 1200-1500 cals per day. I am 5'8" and 153lbs...thing is with all that I have not lost ONE SINGLE POUND! SO I would love to join this challenge but I am afraid it won't be any different. I often think why bother I would still be 153 without all this discipline, but I know that eventually it would catch up?!

OK. It's just over 10 weeks away. This may be easy for some of you who are new to dieting. For those of us on the top side of 40something who have been dieting a while or have hit a plateau, it is more of a challenge.

So get a jump start this week. Our first official weigh-in will be Friday. You don't have to share your weight, if you don't want. Just list the first weigh-in as "0" and each additional weigh-in as "-1", "-2.5", etc.

Won't being 10 pounds lighter be a great gift you give yourself and your family? Let's do it!
