I see that it's been a very long time since someone posted to this thread, but I thought I'd jump in anyway. If the tracking info. is correct I should be getting my Core de Force DVD's tomorrow. I plan on giving them a quick scan to get an idea of what the moves and everything are like then starting for real on Sunday. Hopefully I like them. Either way I'll try to post some sort of a review when I've gotten a good feel for them. Or add my thoughts to someone else's if they beat my to it.

I meant, figuratively.

I rather like how Denise Austin is very talkative, explains things at some points; and at other points, she just runs through everything very fast.

So, I did find instructors who teach in the way Denise Austin teaches.
In the dance exercise styles that I do like.

Good suggestion for acquiring other DVDs, if I wanted to.

I'd been looking for the Denise Austin of (of all things, ok - may sound arcane to some) Bollywood/Bhangra, etc. cardio dance workouts. I believe I've come really close with Doonya Cardio and Conditioning (in download, though—I do need certain shall we say, audio quality and high definition, etc.) ...

I had already done (though not to death) Denise Austin's Latin Dance dvd. But I'd wanted (and waited until I was good and ready for it) more Bollywood ...

Over ten months ago in June of 2014, remembering I had taken a free (trial basis) live cardio dance class in Doonya (little-to-no traveling moves across the room) I wanted to come back for more. After a free trial class, no longer ultra-locally offered ...

I've wanted the desi Denise Austin (or Kathy Smith?)...and instead got two, much younger, serious-minded but just as talky candidates—Kajal Desai and Priya Pandya. I've wanted it ALL BACK ... [I knew that one class I attended at the studio, was a bit truncated ... it kinda had that feel; and my suspicions of that were confirmed yesterday!]

Can't easily get back how compassionate that little girl who taught the class was (I was, among a few other things, the oldest participant in the room!), but .. whatevs, whatevs, ...

Well, these candidates won a place in my sparse and well-used (all other things taken in consideration ...) library ... I needed a challenge that Hemalayaa had ceased to deliver to me

I agree, I really like Denise Austin. She's very positive and motivating. Tamilee Webb is also very good. Her workouts are science-based and effective if you stick with it.

I have tried repeatedly to start the 28 bootcamp challenge but three weeks in a row a severe life emergency has stopped me dead. I'm almost afraid to start again for fear of what the next emergency will be. :( I will try again, I just want to wait a week to see if I can get a break from life before the next attack on my psyche. :(

I found some leslie sandstone videos on exercise TV. i really enjoy them. when i am tired or lethargic, they are my go to to excuses workout. i tend to stick with the 2 or 3 miles. when i have an upset stomach the 1 mile is great.

I bought Leslie Sansone's "4 Really Big Miles" dvd and tried it today. The last mile uses the resistance band that comes with a dvd for even a better workout. I sweat to this one, that's for sure! Love it emoticon

I've been working out to Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds dvds that I checked out from the libary. The one I like best is the 4 mile Super Challenge...a whole hour of low impact aerobics. Gets you sweating but feeling great afterwards!

I have the DVD's and the games for Zumba for the Wii and PS3, but I'm dying to not only get back to the gym for live classes, but also get the NEW box sets of the DVDs. I'm addicted. :)

Thanks for the reply! Did you stop after week 3 because of repetition, injury or other reason? I hope you don't mind my asking. Like I mentioned, I'm pretty out of shape and don't want to bite off too much (pun intended)!

Jay

Hi there, happy Friday! I was wondering if anyone has done T25 Focus? I'd like to hear about your experience/info about this. It sounds so good, looks good on the ads, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to keep up for more than 10 minutes since I'm so reconditioned. The results I've heard about are amazing...???too good to be true???
Thanks,
Jay

Beachbody would probably never sell one of their programs for $19.99. I'm certain that price was for the first payment.

Turbo Fire is mostly cardio (a few toning and yoga workouts are included). It is high energy, lots of fun. The pace is similar to the Turbos in Turbo Jam, but instead of lasting 90 seconds its the whole workout. Then there are fire drills that are even faster! But its very easy to modify, as long as you keep moving and keep the intensity up, you will be sweating!

Decide. Commit. Succeed.

I love Turbo Jam, too. And her next one, Turbo Fire. I am debating P90X or Les Mills Combat, both from BeachBody. Any input from the group?
