Alright, I finally get the whole "afternoon pick-me-up" business everyone has touted for years. I'm a morning person naturally and for years always chose to get my workout done in the morning. Now I have realized the morning is my best "brain" time. Then, in the late afternoon when schooling, house & farm chores, and dinner prep are done I feel tired. THIS has become my new time to exercise. It makes no difference if it's 20 minutes on the trampoline, a trail walk with the kids or a workout at the gym - it gets the endorphins going and gives me one more energy boost to make it through the rest of the day. It is really hard sometimes to make myself get started, but once I do I find my joy in exercise.

I agree that you have to find something you love! I really enjoy taking long walks. It is a great time to think and dream. I also do aerobics. I don't enjoy the aerobics as much as I do the feeling when it is over. Feeling of accomplishment that I am doing something great for my body.

I used to enjoy my treadmill as well. I enjoy running, but I found out that the running was stressing out my body and I wasn't losing weight. Weird, huh? I do want to run though. Maybe I can start again. (I no longer have my treadmill, but I have the outdoors.) I like dancing as well.

I was never, never athletic. Exercise was not a fun thing. Lately, however, I've discovered I really like the treadmill. Now most people think it is boring, but I just try to challenge myself and get faster and more incline each time. I end up sore, but really looking forward to my next time.
Now, I have heard that doctors have recently agreed that one can lose weight without the exercise, but without it, you can lose muscle along with fat. Not a good thing, because muscle burns calories faster.
Find one activity you enjoy...anything. I actually also like a really deep house cleaning. You can count it as exercise! Shoveling snow, gardening, long walks....find your thing!
