Family health history is a huge motivator for me. My dad's side of the family has a long list of people who had diabetes and died from complications because of it. Alzheimer's runs rampant on that side of the family as well, probably caused in part by the diabetes. I refused to jump on that train.

My kids are a big motivation for me as well. Gotta be around for them and I want them to have a healthier relationship with food than I did at their age. I don't want them to struggle with weight issues or body image like I did.

This week I want to hear what motivates you to get healthy, lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle! emoticon emoticon

One big motivator for me is my family, especially my Mom. She recently had knee replacement surgery (about a year ago) and it made me realize that I don't want to have the same health issues that I've seen some of my family have to suffer through.

I want to be able to do activities without being fearful that I'm too big or heavy such as zip lining (never done it!), participating in 5k and 10ks, doing outdoor stuff like long hikes, etc. emoticon emoticon

I've noticed that as I lose more weight and get healthier that I am able to do things such as a 5k which I just did two weekends ago. I completed the Insane Inflatable 5k, here's my proof!

Hoping to go zip lining in September when I go on vacation in Puerto Rico the weight limit is under 300lbs so definitely will be a NSV if I get to do it!

So what motivates you? Include pictures and other visuals if you want!
